    Logitech just released the next generation of the Logitech Zone Wireless 2 headset for work. Something interesting is happening with work headsets they are battling the difficulties of noise as microphone speakers, ANC, and a new feature for your speakers that I show how it works in the video.

    9:05 - usb cable can turn headset as wired, when headset is powered off.

    What is interesting about this headset is that Logitech claims earpads and battery are both replaceable. That is a good change considering companies like Poly and Jabra basically sell disposable headsets with non removable batteries. However, the lack of true stereo when listening to music is a deal breaker for me.

      We agree and really like when brands allow for replaceable parts.

    9:47 I totally agree. At home, I have a dedicated work room. But in the office, it's a shared space and everyone around is talking or taking their calls. It becomes very difficult to focus. My current (read: budget) solution is JBL Tune 130NC TWS earbuds. It makes the office chatter bearable, but it becomes uncomfortable after 30-40 minutes.
    EDIT: Wow 130NC costs 99 dollars in US. In India, I got them for around 30 usd refurbished.

    Thanks for the review. How do these compare to the Orosound Tilde Pros? Which would you give the edge to? I work in a home and office setting. It's not overly loud. I also like to listen to podcast, not music.

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  4 месяца назад +1

      Either way you go in this case would be fine. The Tilde Pro will be an overall improvement in just about every area, but if it's not within your budget then the Logitech should work okay too. Logitech just won't have as good of audio and noise cancellation for speakers/microphone.

    Great review! Dear Dave, could you please advise wireless headsets with ANC and NC on mic model specifically for remote simultaneous interpreting, mainly on Zoom, Teams? Simultaneous interpreters literally listen and speak at the same time, that's why I would appreciate it if you could advise wireless headsets of your preferrence with decent ANC and decent noice cancelling mic combined in a single model.

    I don’t like the “touch screen type” volume control. I like the Apple Air Pods Max headset adjustment they ripped off. Hopefully the headset isn’t made too cheap. The look isn’t terrible, but it’s not great… I hate when headsets don’t use tactile button controls?! I mean I guess if it works idk. But the mic sounds pretty good. I think headsets will be going modular very soon, almost like Tilde Pro with detachable mic’s and ear cups. Hopefully Apple will design a hybrid… work/play Headset/Headphones

      To keep it simple. If you strictly use Microsoft Teams on your computer, go with the Teams version. For every other scenario go with UC.

      You would have to download the Logi app to customize sidetone. You could use a personal computer to adjust the setting then bring to a work computer as a work around.

    Rotating speakers is a *TERRIBLE* feature. It might be okay for over-ear headsets, but it makes on-ear headsets fall off your head much more easily. (That's one of my complaints about my AnkerWork PowerConf H700.)
    *Features I need:*
    Swivel up/down boom mic.
    Comfortable to wear for long periods of time.
    Non-flakey simultaneous connectivity to Windows computer and my Android 11 phone (unlike my AnkerWork H700 and my MPOW HC5).
    Robust construction. (Not made of self-destructing plastic like my old Jabra Evolve 65 was.)
    Non-rotating earpieces / speakers; headset that doesn't fall off my head every day (like my AnkerWork H700 does).
    Good clear voice, in both directions.
    Stereo sound. (Doesn't have to be audiophile quality.)
    Non-disposable design (can be readily disassembled to replace battery, etc., without destroying it, unlike my old Jabra Evolve 65).
    Good bluetooth range to my computer. (That probably means Bluetooth 5.something.)
    *Features I'd like, but which I can do without:*
    Waterproof or at least sweatproof (unlike my AnkerWork H700).
    Can take it off my ears, and carry it around my neck, without bad things happening (unlike my AnkerWork H700, which has a giant button sticking out that gets randomly bumped, making unexpected things happen).
    ANC (cancel background noise in my room, for ME).
    Ability to enable ANC when NOT using the headset for anything else (use it for hearing protection when mowing the lawn etc.).
    Pass-through (so I can hear what's going on around me).
    Noise-cancelling mic (so the person I'm talking to doesn't hear my dog).
    Locate-my-headset feature on my phone, using Bluetooth 5.1 direction-finding.
    Locate-my-phone feature on my headset, which can ring my phone.
    Reasonable price.
    *Features I have NO use for:*
    Folds up into a little carrying case.
    Charging stand.
    Busy light, and/or other cutesy lights.
    Its own special dongle for my computer. (I don't mind needing to use a USB Bluetooth 5 adapter on my computer, like the Orico, Asus or UGreen adapters based on Realtek's RTL8761BUV.)
    I don't want much, do I?

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  8 месяцев назад +1

      @@nigelcook730 ah I understand now. The reason for the title is because Logitech added a unique feature that allows the speakers to block out noise going on in the callers background.
      Which is the only headset we’re aware of that has this so far and means manufacturers are further trying to innovate and solve problems.

    You claim that your software „neep“ will also have noise canceling on both „speakers and microphone“. What exactly are you talking about? Guess it’s not ANC in order to suppress noise for the one wearing the headphones?

    • @HeadsetAdvisor
      @HeadsetAdvisor  7 месяцев назад

      This means when you're on a call with someone who has distracting background noise because no microphone noise cancellation, the user with neep will be able to turn on a feature to stop hearing the callers background noise.
      Hope we explained that properly! Let us know if we need to clarify.

    This headset is a hunk of junk. Nothing about it works. I work in tech. Simply transitioned from Zone Wireless Plus to Zone Wireless 2 for access to Zoom features. This headset does not perform to spec. It will not connect to my iPhone via Bluetooth and PC via USB simultaneously OR iPhone and PC via Bluetooth. Sitting right at my computer and audio is garbled. No range at all. Any kind of text or notification on my PC or iPhone immediately cause a 20 second audio delay in which you lose communication with your caller. LogiTune will not install on Windows 10, so plan on doing firmware upgrades from your iPhone. And thus control the headset from my PC at all. Shame on Logitech.
