They now come with 2 spare tires and actual oil filled shocks. This is my entry rc into the hobby and couldn’t be happier! I got it because of all your vids on it. After extensive searching this is the one I went with. Thanks for all your content! Also I did get a 3s battery and man it flys! 🚀
What a flyer! I noticed your ramp sweeps up closer to the beginning of the ramp and really helps you get maximum air and distance. A lot of ramps sweep at the middle or the end making for great height , but dropping off mid flight. It’s a great ramp you got there. The truckis a tough little scrapper too in stock form. Juiced up it’s an animal! Funtastic video brother! Wish you and you family a very Merry Christmas🙏🏼✝️🎄🎅🏼☃️🎁🎉
Yes I built the ramp like that on purpose! I made a video on how I built both my ramps pretty early on if you’re looking for an idea 😉. Thanks so much and Merry Christmas to you as well! 😄
I really like these: amzn.to/4e1KCgJ Just remember the stock motor isn’t designed for 3s. It has a temperature cut off but it still could self destruct. You will also need one of these adapters: amzn.to/3RbTI0y
Yes! I had success with it, but the esc does have over temp protection so it may not last long before it shuts itself down while it cools off. Should do really well with colder weather.
I should also say, it’s not rated for 3s, but it worked fine for me. When I tried it on a hotter day, it didn’t last long due to the built in esc protection.
I use these currently, but they are about 5mm too long to fit in the battery tray so I usually use foam and extra straps to keep the battery from falling out. I do need to find a slightly shorter one.amzn.to/3M60Wix
Quick little tip I'm case you didn't my already know, WD40 the shit out of the servo in the winter. Sh!t dries out immediately and loses steering. A little WD40 and it'll be good as new.

That’s so cool to hear! Glad you like the car man!
What battery did you buy? Thanks
This vehicle needs a Playlist of its own. I am obsessed.
You are correct!
I have probably Arles set 6 videos with this car or a very similar car in it.
I’ll work on that a bit later. 👍

@@DerbyCityRC cool! Gonna check that out!!! Thanks bud👊🏼👍🏻!
You bet! Thanks for your comments as always!! 🤗
solid truck/buggy and tough, she's going to be an animal when you go brushless I think I need one of these rigs
So far I recommend this truck! We will see how it holds up once it’s turbo charged lol! 👍
Cool run and tough RC
Thanks! Ya she’s a tough one!! 🥊 👍
Nice video man, great run 👍🏽
Appreciate that! Looking forward to the brushless run! 😀
Can you recommend or suggest what brand/type of 3s battery to go with for the stock setup?
Also going with a 3s battery can I still use the stock charger that comes with the truck? Or would I need to buy a different one?
This is the one I use. Fits but you need to give it a push lol

You do need a 3s charger. Like this one!

nice jumps, I just did a video on the 2995 yesterday , fun truck
Thanks! Yes I saw your thumbnail. I’ll be watching it tonight when I have time to watch the whole darn thing!! 😄
@@DerbyCityRC thanks man, it was a fun video to make
I bet! I had fun making our Christmas vid coming out Christmas morning. Hope everyone likes it lol
what 3s batery do you recomend for stock? 1500 mah 100c?
I would stick under 50c for stock probably
do you think a 100c will burn the esc right?
There’s a chance lol
how does the 3s run time compare to 2s run time ?..w/ stock motor..
I don’t remember it being any shorter run time but I just cant recall. It hasn’t been stock for about two years now 😆
Bought one and hate it. The steering spaz's for no reason and I can't fix it. If I even touch the transmitter it interferes with the signal...wtf
Dang that stinks and sounds like a bad transmitter. Have you reached out to the seller?
WHAT 3S BATTERY WOULD YOU RECOMMEND .(W/STOCK MOTOR)

What 3c battery would you recommend?...30c,50c,75c, etc. on the stock truck. I'm assuming the mah wouldn't matter?.
Yes mah wouldn’t matter. I probably wouldn’t go over 50c with it stock. It 30-35 will do just fine👍👍
Hey what brand battery you used 3s ?
Looks like they’re out of stock on the Ovonic batteries I use. I’m about to order these though. They look like they would work well.

Is it safe to use 3s on it's stock motor and electronics? Thanks
Yes! I had success with it, but the esc does have over temp protection so it may not last long before it shuts itself down while it cools off. Should do really well with colder weather.

@@DerbyCityRC thanks for responding really appreciate it. Will try 3s 30c on it to keep the temperature down a little.
Hopefully that works!!
What 3s battery fit in it?
I use these currently, but they are about 5mm too long to fit in the battery tray so I usually use foam and extra straps to keep the battery from falling out. I do need to find a slightly shorter one.amzn.to/3M60Wix

Good to know, thanks!
