I honestly don't know how he even managed to sing at that time. In fact I would say that for most people it's an impossible task. Thank you for your heartfelt reaction🥰
It's very hard to watch this one. Yes, it's beautiful, but seeing Dan suffering is almost more than my heart can bear. Every time I see it, I cry with him and for his broken heart. His dad would be so proud of him.
Thank you for reacting to this. I feel you treated it so respectfully. I cry every time. I feel humbled and honored for him to let us be with him in his sorrow
I can't even count how many times I have listened to this song and each time it brings tears to my eyes as my heart breaks for him. As a mother I just want to embrace him and cry with him. I know that his dad was looking down from Heaven and so very proud of his son. Such a beautiful tribute to his father, in whom he loved dearly.
Hi love your reactions on Dan's songs. This one is my kids go to song after we lost my husband, there father last year. He was our rock. Some of Dan's songs makes us cry and others like you are loved give hope. He has a song for every emotion. ❤RSA
I've seen this one multiple times in the three years that I've been a member of Vasc-Nation, and it rips my heart out every single time, especially knowing how close he and his dad were. Very nice reaction!
Thanks for the heartfelt reaction. It is a tearjerker. Dan once said that he was sad because his Dad died before seeing him become successful enough to make a living at singing. But I think his Dad knows and is proud.
This was the third song I heard from Dan after discovering him doing Amazing Grace. After hearing and watching it several dozens of times I still cry with him, feeling his pain. He kept it together and absolutely beautiful for his father and he would be so proud💗💗💗 Thank you for your reaction ☺
For once in my life I'm speechless. 😢There are people in your life who you love differently. The loss of a loved one is a process you go through but each one is different in the grieving process. You can tell that his dad was his world.❤😢❤
This month will make 3 years since my father passed away. My father was a huge Elvis fan, especially when Elvis did his gospel stuff. Hearing Dan sing this brings the emotions, but also all the good memories. Dan Vasc is truly an amazing human being, and you can tell he is very humble when he speaks.
G'day Maria, This particular video hits right in all of the feels...as a mum, and grandmother, I just want to hold him tight and tell him everything will be alright and will get better over time, but at the same time not want to intrude on his grief even though he shared this video. It's that strange juxtaposition of being very sympathetic to the events surrounding, but also being so enamoured of the strength and talent shown in this video...does that make sense at all?... Anyhoo, I really enjoy your reactions, especially those of our favourite Brazilian hottie 😉 and look forward to what comes next...😁 🙃🐨🇦🇺
I'm like you, i don't cry often when listening to artists, but he always manages to touch my soul with his feelings and dedication he puts in his songs! It's such a huge emotional achievement to do that, it breaks my heard to see him like that, i lost my mother as his age and my father 3 year's later, I know how great the pain is! ❤😭
When he has to just stand there after singing “hush little baby don’t you cry you know your daddy’s bound to die”. So heart wrenching. I love this guy! I’m praying for the right girl will come along for him. A good Christian girl who is as kind, sweet and thoughtful as he is. And who can be a life partner. God bless you Dan!!! ❤❤❤
I agree with you Janet. The hopes I have for my own son are the same that I have for Dan. They are both very caring, hard-working, goal-oriented young men who deserve to find loving soul-mates. It is so hard to sing or even speak when you are in tears. How Dan got through this tribute, I have no idea. The strength had to have come from God. 🤗🙏💓
I thought I'd be OK by now recommending this song - wrong! It still hits me the same as the first time I heard it. I have no idea how he got through it but it was so important for him to do it so he did! Your reaction was perfect - it is by no means an easy watch but to see Dan so vulnerable, is a side we won't see that often and just shows how 'complete' a person he is. (if that makes sense) His dad would be immensely proud of him and we have to get him to the 1m subscribers he's aiming for. People don't understand why he's not there already and nor do I so, if everyone could recommend him, by whichever platform necessary he'll get there sooner! If anyone deserves it - it's Dan. 🥰
This song breaks my heart every time I listen to Dan sing it! It's like he's singing directly to his father the way he looks to heaven. This is very much a very personal tribute for him. The lip quiver and tears, the pictures and word tributes are so gut-wrenching. Thank you for taking us through this sweet, tender time with Dan. His Papa is so proud of his son. ♥♥
Thank you...🥹🥹🥹
I loved your reaction Maria, and you were not alone in embracing Dan as he struggled with his tremendous sense of loss while singing to his father. It is hard to witness but so touching and beautiful all at the same time. What a wonderful memorial that exists for the whole world to view. Happy New Year and we all should cherish every day we are given. Please keep reacting to more of Dan's videos. 🤗
I have found, since back in April when so many of us became aware of Dan's channel, that I come back to this song at least once a week--usually on the days when I've had a bit of a hard load to get through. For one thing, it reminds me that I haven't had the loss of a loved one, now, since 2014, when my mom went to join her very first baby, and my daddy, at the same time. So when I'm down a bit, I come to RUclips, find this song, and encourage Dan all the way through it. Yes, of course I know that he couldn't have heard me, even when he actually sang it, but it doesn't matter. I sit here, and tell him, "It's OK, Dan. You'll make it through. You can DO it, and it's OK to cry...and then he does, and I do, too. When it's over, though, and I'm sitting here looking at the screen as his dad holds Dan in his arms as a little boy, I remember the losses I've had over the years, and also rejoice in the memories and the photos I have of those same kinds of things. Then I know I can go on, also, no matter what. It also, every time, makes me remember that we have our Papa God to go to, for comfort, and we always will, because He has promised, and He never fails. Thank you very much for the beautiful reaction. I'm looking forward to the day you react to "Son of Pain," also...for pretty much the same reasons. Before you do, be sure to look up 1 Chronicles 4:9-10, and check out what the name Jabez means. The song actually comes from "The Odyssey," but...
Yet he says in the comments that not all tears are tears of sadness. I think that song is more about his success in dealing with and moving out of depression.
My heart broke for Dan in this one. The tears in his eyes. And I really respect and agree with your analysis on this. Of all the reviews I've seen on this performance, you are the only one who pointed out that Dan never looks into the camera in this song. Great observation.
😊his dad died in 2017. This was for a fan Robert Moeller who had terminal cancer and asked to use this song at his funeral. His dad also died from cancer and I’m sure he was thinking of his dad as well.
An American Trilogy was a tribute to Dan’s father Robert when he passed from cancer. A fan named Annie wrote to Dan saying her husband was an Elvis fan and was dying. She said her husband wanted this song played for him after he passed. So Dan recorded Love Me Tender and dedicated that to Annie and her husband Robert.
@@DorianMLayne Stuff happens. 😀 Another thing that seems to keep going around about Dan, is the harmonica thing. Way back in April, I read a comment that said that Dan had received his first harmonica (from his dad), when he was SEVEN years old. So I believed that. Then, a few weeks later, I read that he had received THE harmonica that he used for "Amazing Grace," from his dad, when he was NINE years old. So when I mentioned it in my own comments a couple of times after that, I simply said that he had received it when he was very young, from his dad. Then, a couple of months ago, now, I saw my first Jay (Drunk 3PO) and Dan interview, that had just reached being a year old. It was a fascinating and fun discussion between the two of them, and because I didn't have much to do that evening, I pretty much wrote a book in the comment sections, while listening to their conversation. Later, Jay pinned that "epic" comment, though it has now been superseded by another (long) comment I made, about a week later, after I had started counting Dan's subs (tonight, he's at 863K...closer and closer to that million). At any rate, DURING that interview, Dan himself spoke about his first harmonica. It was, indeed, given to him by his father, but he said quite clearly that he was somewhere between 11 & 13 (he said he couldn't remember exactly, but it was sometime in that area) when his dad gave him his first harmonica, and he didn't mention whether or not it was the same one he was going to use in "Amazing Grace," because...he hadn't yet done that video. So...yeah...we hear all sorts of things, and sometimes we get them wrong, and it's OK. Grandma HUGS!
@@elaineboone8567 That was so incredibly sweet of him to do. I remember now - he didn't look at his FB page much but happened to that particular day and saw the request. Bless all concerned.
I have no idea who Dan Vasc is. Never heard of him before. To say he's a great singer is an understatement. And yet, for me, it still doesn't top the dynamic live performance of this same song by Elvis from his legendary concert, "Aloha from Hawaii" back in 1973.
I’m loosing my mom shortly she is hospice with Damincha I could feel his pain I couldn’t stop the tears thank you again for this Jesus will comfort all who mourn

I honestly don't know how he even managed to sing at that time. In fact I would say that for most people it's an impossible task. Thank you for your heartfelt reaction🥰
He is not singing this for us, but for his beloved father, we are gifted the opportunity to share his tribute.
The way he constantly looks up towards heaven in this song is heartbreaking.
It's very hard to watch this one. Yes, it's beautiful, but seeing Dan suffering is almost more than my heart can bear. Every time I see it, I cry with him and for his broken heart. His dad would be so proud of him.
I feel the same way! And Nessun Dorma as well!
I agree! I could almost hear his Daddy tell him to buckle up son, right before the ending Hallelujah where he mustered his strength & looked up.
Agree with everything above 😢
Thank you so so much for reacting to this song. He is simply amazing. The tears on his face at the end, tells me everything I need to know. 😢
Thank you for reacting to this. I feel you treated it so respectfully. I cry every time. I feel humbled and honored for him to let us be with him in his sorrow
