Edit: the result would be is companies that can't afford the higher taxes and minimum wage will either shut down or move manufacturing to China or else where. The gap between the poor and rich will widen, the cost of living by default will automatically go up making it even harder for people down on their luck to get back up. While also creating higher competition for jobs because less entry level jobs available meaning more people out of a job. Leading to people becoming more dependent on government aid while ensuring that people will keep voting for the same people that created the problem they are in while blaming everyone else for the problems that they themselves created. We must not forget about Sin and the effects that it has on mankind. God has given us free will and Jesus atoned for the sins of this world. If we believe and have faith that Jesus atoned for our sins and let the Holy Spirit guide us, you would not have to put much emphasis on God condemning people to hell. We do our condemning and not blame God. God rejects us because first, we reject Him. Jesus did not agree with how the Pharisees used legalism to promote their way to worship Yahweh from how they should worship God in Leviticus and Deuteronomy, i.e. turning the Temple into a center of a political religion instead of a place of worship.
Not all religions are the same, so I would suggest that you research each religion and speak to those who practice that particular religion and I think you would feel different. I use to think the same, that all religions are the same but I was wrong in my ignorance.
I pray that you ask God to show or illuminate your understanding in more than our own beliefs. His ways are higher than ours.
