Poseidon.... the ancient Greek god of the sea......... and when he was in rage..... that's exactly what it was like!!! Thank you Apocalyptica!! Simply brilliant!!!
When I listen to this song, I feel like I am Poseidon and I feel like I'm furious. This song is amazing in so many ways, I can't understand how people can dislike it
This is music people. These guys have bridged the gap between Classical and Metal. I live on an island and on an island there are many stories about the sea and what she does. Most agree that tragedy befalls those who do not respect the sea. But what is being created here is Music and Harmony. The perfection of a dance between Beauty and the Beast.
Well thank you Vriska. I've been listening to this group for years and they keep getter better. They have also done covers of Metalica with these interments. All are instrumental, except the song I'm not Jesus.
Ryan Smith the very valuable vanity of what you didn't know about the Sea and the two embodiments you mentioned is what you have no clue about when the rest have to pay for it. Societies ideas of portraying. Pleh.
If there were more bands out there that just did music... imagine creating our own stories through the music. Too many songs now a days are spoon fed. Pure instrumental, best way to rock out!
I agree. I personally prefer instrumentals as you always make up your own story for it everytime you hear one. Always different in a way or two as well.
This has to be one of the best instrumentals I have ever listened to in my life. Pure powerful music without a single word.. I get a similar feeling with metallica's The Call Of Ktulu
Καικος He is an aquatic god too. Though, there are not much information about him Name appeared in my thoughts from scattered book letters, that introduced me Apocalyptica Kaikos, the giver of good music)
Also I never gave apocalyptica a chance....I regret that now. I've been a purists when it comes to metal for so long I forget how powerful a song can be regardless of it's fabricated tones. Feels like I've been living in a box! Mind is blown all over again.
i love them. and the best thing about them is that it is not with words, and i can so feel it, the rage, the battle, and they also show that good music, such as this, can be made with classic and new age instrumentsi really think that they should be more bands who express such emotions.
ooooh, I can imagine sea boiling with rampaging emotions, and underneath all sorts of monstrous creatures - ah, it is so powerful! And the transition bit (from Sacra, becoming the intro in this one) is so haunting, as if it tries to warn you about what is coming... I love it
Whoaaa! Esto... ESTO ES UNA LOCURA! ¡¿Cellos eléctricos?! O.O Dios!!! ¡Esto es una belleza! El metal sinfónico en su máxima potencia (en mi opinión...)
clasical music has always been a form of Rock they just didn't have guitars and special effects back then but if u listen closely you will hear Rock and roll ! awesome band! Apocalyptica! never die please!
there is definitly something that sounds like a whisper in the song.. it adds to the creepy rage that the song carries :) I love apocalyptica sooo much!!
As a musician, I read into modern music way too much- instrumentals are, for the most part and in my opinion, more intricate and thought out as the song is written. Words are there to accentuate the music, not to take it over. This was BAD ASS.
Welcome out. :) It's why I can't say I'm interested in any genre of music... I'm not. I love them all because I've always found something in every genre I can love. (And stuff in every genre that I want to burn. Ahaha)
"Hmmm, this song is alright. Not particularly amazing but no-" 3:00 "HWOOOOAAAAAAH SHIIIIIIIIIIT! IT FEELS LIKE I'M TRYING TO SAIL THROUGH A STORM OH CHRIST!"
This is my new angry song. It used to be "I Fucking Hate You" by Godsmack, but this has more anger and wrath and climax to imitate a picture of a cruel tactless leader crushing his opponents with no mercy in an epic bloody battle. LOVE IT!!!
agreed! Ever listen to Opeth? Those guys take you on a trip sometimes and some of the songs I didn't like on their newer albums grew on me! lol. It's so different but still Opeth. I'd say they're the most dynamic band out to date!
@Disvantal I am with you on that 100% dude. They definitely should've gotten Apocolyptica to do the songs for ALL the god fights in GOW 3. They certainly had the money to hire talent.
Ahaha, my L.A. teacher once used this as a prompt for poem writing. Needless to say, my poem was beautiful, well written, intense, and meaningful. Just like this song. :D
I think of Hephaistos instead of Prometheus. Hephaistos beating with his hammer into the volcano. I realise that water can be furious, but this song is nearer to fire and metallurgical jobs. In spite of my comment, this song is fantastic and I really love it.
@Iadrov i think we can both 100% agree on the "madness" part... i believe everything has a reason, but nowadays it is mostly someone's profit... more than ever.
Poseidón shaked the Eart with his trident and made tempests and storms on the sea. I don't think Poseidón's subtely. Poseidón is pure instinct, anger and strength
@Iadrov good point, i think it is neccessary to find a balance somewhere between extreme copyright protection and total absence of it. in my home country there is a private company which "takes care" of protecting author's rights... and whenever you buy something that could be used to reproduce any kind of protected content (e.g. any cd, dvd, flash/hard drive, printer,...) there is a fee defined by our law which goes to this company (which is a presumption of guilt, against our constitution)
my favourite dish-washing song - that connection to the element is so intensive the dishes fear to get dirty again. unfortunately only as long as the song goes on. and i dont like to listen to it during meal time very much, that hurts.
@Iadrov and thanks. i think there is just no need for not being polite. discussion is not about spiting poisonous and hateful emotions on each other, for this are fights (in whose i dont see any sense anyway). btw sorry for my (maybe) poor english, i am not a native speaker
@realzaantar Indeed. But honestly what strikes my heart hard is to see Eicca or Perttu or other's face when you talk about that. They've been so cool with me, posting on my wall when I was in hospital. They're very nice person, and I hate seeing them sad and treated like that.
@realzaantar Well, I'm French myself. I agree with you on balancing things, in France there's something called Sacem ( which receive money from our bus company for the radio), but Internet is international, and in France it's becoming madness, in a way you can be punished if your wiki was hacked for illegal purposes, and even author might demande permission to offer free download, in the other hand no one acts against one uploader if he's protected by his money!
Poseidon.... the ancient Greek god of the sea......... and when he was in rage..... that's exactly what it was like!!! Thank you Apocalyptica!! Simply brilliant!!!
I know right amazing
"Was like"???... ask any seafairing human being and, they will tell you "IS LIKE". HUGS
When I listen to this song, I feel like I am Poseidon and I feel like I'm furious. This song is amazing in so many ways, I can't understand how people can dislike it
Some people don't understand crap from good chocolate i suppose. To each their own. Less chances of a sold out venue for me😋

+Ryan Smith When it comes to wording, I must say, that is the most gorgeous way to describe this song.
Well thank you Vriska. I've been listening to this group for years and they keep getter better. They have also done covers of Metalica with these interments. All are instrumental, except the song I'm not Jesus.
+Ryan Smith They sure have. I don't think they know how to make a bad song.
Haven't heard a bad song from them yet. Their Metallica on celo is worth looking at too.
I agree it would be amazing
I agree.
I personally prefer instrumentals as you always make up your own story for it everytime you hear one.
Always different in a way or two as well.
Fucking hell, that buildup starting at 2:54. God-tier shit.
This has to be one of the best instrumentals I have ever listened to in my life. Pure powerful music without a single word.. I get a similar feeling with metallica's The Call Of Ktulu
Oh yes, "Call of Ktulu" is similar to me, like this song.
Καικος
He is an aquatic god too. Though, there are not much information about him
Name appeared in my thoughts from scattered book letters, that introduced me Apocalyptica
Kaikos, the giver of good music)
I started imagining a videogame which you fight Poseidon and this song in the background...
The next god of war
Apocalyptica doesn't need vocals, mostly anything they do sounds amazing. I hope someday to see them in concert
Also I never gave apocalyptica a chance....I regret that now. I've been a purists when it comes to metal for so long I forget how powerful a song can be regardless of it's fabricated tones. Feels like I've been living in a box! Mind is blown all over again.
Let stupid 💩 go & enjoy 😉👍
Fucking beautiful and unlike anything I've ever heard before. That's the only way I can describe this.
The beginning has a sort of... "jelly-like" feel, like you're truly underwater.
One of my favorites.
2019 and this still the song I want to hear as the world ends.
Amen
this is my favorite band... has my two favorite music generas, metal and classical. :)
fantastic melody i love it
i love them. and the best thing about them is that it is not with words, and i can so feel it, the rage, the battle, and they also show that good music, such as this, can be made with classic and new age instrumentsi really think that they should be more bands who express such emotions.
This is relevant to my writing! I can't help but think of my favourite villains when I hear this...
SO GLAD TO SEE MIGHTY APOCALIPTICA BACK TO ITS CULT ORIGENS!!! this song & the whole album rockzzz so much!! i love you apocaliptica
Heard this. Bought album. Still enthralled. Just wow.
As a movie Writer This would make a Badass end Credits song to any epic Action Movie. what a killer Heavy Metal Band this is.
ooooh, I can imagine sea boiling with rampaging emotions, and underneath all sorts of monstrous creatures - ah, it is so powerful!
And the transition bit (from Sacra, becoming the intro in this one) is so haunting, as if it tries to warn you about what is coming...
I love it
Whoaaa! Esto... ESTO ES UNA LOCURA! ¡¿Cellos eléctricos?! O.O Dios!!!
At the 5 minute mark i start to understand what went through Jackson Pollock s head when he was painting.
Beautiful!!!! They need to tour this álbum again
Ah. Taking metal to new heights. I love you Apocalyptica!
This is fantastic. I feel like this is what people should here when they see me staring off into space because of my horrendous week(s) lately.
this is awesome that i am listing to over and over and it just gets even better
Classical music can get boring, and I can sometimes find metal a bit shallow and all the same, but put together like this is just pure fucking magic!
clasical music has always been a form of Rock they just didn't have guitars and special effects back then but if u listen closely you will hear Rock and roll ! awesome band! Apocalyptica! never die please!
Love it! It has a certain punch tht builds as the song moves along. Will be anxious to test this on the road and see how it sounds.
después de estar desconectado un tiempo que mejor que una buena dosis de verdadero metal......donde una obscuridad igual a la del oceano
their instrumentals are always so much more excellent than the ones that include singers. all terrific though.
26 people cant handle how awesome this is
there is definitly something that sounds like a whisper in the song.. it adds to the creepy rage that the song carries :) I love apocalyptica sooo much!!
Simply eargasmic.
one of my favorite
I picture the end of the world when I listen to this. The lands we live on being engulfed by the oceans.
This song gave me chills!
As a musician, I read into modern music way too much- instrumentals are, for the most part and in my opinion, more intricate and thought out as the song is written. Words are there to accentuate the music, not to take it over. This was BAD ASS.
i believeeeeeee, i just found my backround music that will be playing in my head during epic moments in my life ♥
Great Song! Amps me up everytime!
cant stop listening to it!!!!
Welcome out. :)
It's why I can't say I'm interested in any genre of music... I'm not. I love them all because I've always found something in every genre I can love. (And stuff in every genre that I want to burn. Ahaha)
The beginning is the best part. It's like leading up to the finale of the boss kill.
That was amazing! Apocalyptica is so epic! :)
"Hmmm, this song is alright. Not particularly amazing but no-"
3:00
"HWOOOOAAAAAAH SHIIIIIIIIIIT! IT FEELS LIKE I'M TRYING TO SAIL THROUGH A STORM OH CHRIST!"

I used to like apocalyptica.. Now I love them!
People may not all appreciate but this one is freaking awesome!
its...its..its..Beautiful!!
@Disvantal
I am with you on that 100% dude. They definitely should've gotten Apocolyptica to do the songs for ALL the god fights in GOW 3. They certainly had the money to hire talent.
this is BEAUTIFUL 1 of the sexiest pieces i have ever heard in my history of music from these guys atleast
Beautiful. Shut your eyes. I'm serious, you'll see what this is trying to tell you.
I'm listening to this song as there's a huge storm outside.
Ahaha, my L.A. teacher once used this as a prompt for poem writing. Needless to say, my poem was beautiful, well written, intense, and meaningful. Just like this song. :D
I like this song very much. Rage Of Poseidon really sounds like Apocalyptica.
I can't wait! I heard they are releasing the iStone S pretty soon! :D
When Caligula wages war on you and he ordered his legion to attack your sea.
For me this song kind of feels like the waves churning, as if Poseidon was creating a Tsunami to crush all his foes that stood before him.
This is beautiful.
Unbelievably atmospheric!
@narg43
0:00 - 0:38 is continuation of "Sacra" song. Sacra and Rage of Poseidon is "one story". ;)
Apocalyptica
This song is Perfection
I think of Hephaistos instead of Prometheus. Hephaistos beating with his hammer into the volcano. I realise that water can be furious, but this song is nearer to fire and metallurgical jobs.
In spite of my comment, this song is fantastic and I really love it.
I here by nominate this song to be in the soundtrack of 28 months later. Yes. please.
Very well said good friend. Cheers!

It's so beautiful...I wanna thank god for giving them such amazing talent and i'm not even a religious person really.....
@Iadrov i think we can both 100% agree on the "madness" part... i believe everything has a reason, but nowadays it is mostly someone's profit... more than ever.

This song are eating my heart!!!
Holy crap, I love Apocolyptica, but I was seriously not expecting 4:30... Amazing...
@Iadrov good point, i think it is neccessary to find a balance somewhere between extreme copyright protection and total absence of it.

MasterPiece!!
i freaking love this song
This could seriously be a badass theme song for a wrestler :D
my favourite dish-washing song - that connection to the element is so intensive the dishes fear to get dirty again. unfortunately only as long as the song goes on. and i dont like to listen to it during meal time very much, that hurts.
@Iadrov and thanks. i think there is just no need for not being polite. discussion is not about spiting poisonous and hateful emotions on each other, for this are fights (in whose i dont see any sense anyway).
btw sorry for my (maybe) poor english, i am not a native speaker
OMG this is beautiful :`)
only these legends can epitomize the emotions of a god
