2:54 if you just pull the back cap up on a gamma core while it's aired up then nothing will happen, the pressure won't push the bolt out or anything, if you do pull it out you'll just bleed air and have balls roll out, bit nothing particularly interesting
i agree etha 3 is probably the better gun, but i come from playing in the 00's, so maintaining a mini is pretty easy for me. i also enjoy the trigger on the mini MUCH more than the trigger on the etha.
Should have compared Axe 2.0 for price range AND make sure to chrono for sound signature because that mini GS sounded terrible(I own a mini gs as a 3nd backup/loaner)
The 1.5 looks great, haven’t shot one. But I believe you on the etha 3 comparison. How does the syx compare to the 170R? Just pretend they’re the same price or free.
@@jeffriggins9106 I have a techt delrin bolt and a lighter spring. having the lighter bolt and spring allows the marker to operate at a lower pressure. 150 is about as low as you can go. A stock Mini operates at 200 psi. with some tuning you can get it down to 170. Low operating pressure means more efficiency, so you can shoot more paint.
@@jeffriggins9106 yeah if you're new to paintball I would just keep it stock. But the mini is a great platform to mess around with. it's like the honda civic of paintball. it's honestly a great marker to gain an understanding of the mechanics of a marker and how to maintain it. hasn't changed much since it came out in like 2006
@@Scepra yeah, ive been thinking about dabbling with trying to make it more efficent, i guess ultimately you can just reset the board if shit goes too far south
Barrel has a lot to do with it. I don’t mind the sound of the etha 3 but mine has a soft tip bolt, got rid of the pal feedneck (stupid on that level of marker, save it for the Emeks) and put on a different body kit (which I think either muffles or amplifies the noise depending on style. No idea which is best. And freak barrel. But I think it’s quiet
I get that you guys want to sell Axe2.0 and mini GS but the Etha 2/3 is superior in every way.
The trigger on the GS or Axe 2.0 is nicer. Other than that you are correct.
well even so, both are good enough to put paint exactly where you need them so a moot point really.
Yea and they also cost more...
@fallensummit Or you can swap the trigger for 40 bucks and get one of the best bolt systems and other huge quality of life features...
@@sickmak90 Can you upgrade the trigger on the Etha 3?
I loved my first gen mini GS, but I feel like it’s bigger brother the Axe 2.0 would’ve been a better comparison to the Etha 3
Considering the price, yeah

yeah haha
I accidentally did that the other day I forgot to disengage the asa lol. It really does just go "pshhh".

Same color as my GS it’s been really fun to use!

they never sound right on youtube
Agreed, it sounded hot like 315-320 hot
For price you could compare the etha 3 to the syx 1.5
I’ve had both and I’d definitely take a Syx 1.5 over the etha 3 all day every day.

I run my mini gs at 150 psi. have a lighter spring and a delrin bolt. thing can shoot 10-12 pods out of a 45.
im entirely too new to paintball to comprehend how you have it running at 150 PSI. but it is interesting concept. have a mini gs myself.

with the price point difference between these 2 i dont get the comparison. may aswell compare the the etha3 to a shocker amp.
Axe/ mini, metal body , poppet valve, easy to use and maintain...etha 3 gamma core....
Getting into paint ball just trying to play with friends what’s a good mid priced marker
I bought 2 axe 1.0a a mini gs and a invert mini on ebay for 1000 dollars so me and my friends can play
etha 3 is waaaaaay better in every way.
that's not how pressures work.... and why not chrono them?
Has anyone ever upgraded the etha 3 and can we get another sound on the etha 3

@@zackzittel7683 thank you my friend can I see that etha 3 without that pal feed neck
What tank cover are those?
Looks Valken
Etha 3 is better just end the comparison already the etha has the gamacore
They’re the same guns practically I just bought a etha 3 to replace my mini but I should’ve just gotten the syx instead :/
Can’t go wrong either way. I did like mine Syx a lot. Hoping the magnet trigger makes me like the Etha more than the syx.
Both of these are weak they not even hitting the thing what’s the point
