Rink-side conversation with Dr. Roselle Gonsalves and Michael Szajewski

Dr. Richard Norman sits down with Dr. Roselle Gonsalves and Michael Szajewski to talk about their experiences in curling and as sitting members of Curling Canada’s Board of Governors, discussing their unique paths through the sport and commitment to making our game a place where everyone feel accepted and that they belong.
In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, Curling Canada honours and acknowledges Moh’kinsstis, and the traditional Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, as well as the Iyarhe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations.
We acknowledge that this territory is also home to the Otipemisiwak Métis Government of the Métis Nation within Alberta District 6.
Finally, we acknowledge all Nations - Indigenous and non - who live, work and play on this land, and who honour and celebrate this territory. As we conduct our activities in this sacred gathering place, it provides us with an opportunity to engage in and demonstrate our commitment to Reconciliation.
