Heyyy, yesterday i have been thinking about how would be possible further server-ise mikrotik routers and just wanna ask: have you thought about using external storage(via usb or m.2) as swap? Maybe making a partition on it for swap and seperate partition for storage? This would maybe allow bigger containers on the routers, tho with significant slowdown, we could even use intel optane for memory-like storage so the swap wouldnt be even that bad

@@mikrotik If I may, I'm just disappointed with my cAP AC. It's basically a old device sold as new. No PPSK VLAN support, only supports old CAPSMAN unless you use another driver with other limitations, and so on. It doesn't really make much sense to buy everything from the same brand if that brand then has many different gotchas for each product in their offering.
@@aquathing Same.... cAPax is good too, but I went back to the Unifi line. Ok, it's a different league, where it's possible and the customer's budget can handle it. Sorry MikrtoTik, but you're really behind. Maybe a mix with more manufacturers would fit in, but native only Mikrotik certainly won't. Let's see what the future brings.🤔

Another option is if you advised an installation of mt vm running advanced fw.
