This movie officially ruined the Creeper. It did the same thing that jacked up Alien, they show him too much, in broad daylight, he's not scary anymore. And the weapons/truck, it was already dumb in the 2nd movie, now it's comical beyond words, the Creeper is Ms. Frizzle, she got stuck in the shadowrealm and can only fly the magic school bus back into our world once every 23 years to eat flesh. That might as well be the origin at this point with how cheesy they took it.
Wahey, some classic horror movie Phelous. Glad you do these every now and then also. Variety being the spice of life. Always amazed what you manage to make out of these messes. Because, in all honesty, this movie looks very boring and mundane. And I can't think of many horror movies where the monster just... hangs around.
It's always a good time when Phelous goes back to his roots now and then. I like how he analyzed how the villain just dicks around and how its connection to JC 2 are very thin at best. Maybe some day he could do The Devil Inside...
I guess Creeps McGee was inspired by Ulli Lommel to make a third entry in his lackluster boogeyman series that pretended to overlap the first movie, created a bunch of plot holes with no added significance, and somehow looked way shittier. Surprised they didn't show stock footage of Jeepers Creepers 2 with Feed Son's voice dubbed in shouting at them to shoot the boogeyman with the spear. Totally seamless.
Tiago Pereira dos Santos Silva this guy is kind of a nut. But the petition isn't about race or anarchy or anything. If you live in the UK and you care about free speech it may be a good idea to take a look at that petition link anyway, hate speech laws there are pretty fucked, and yes a guy in Scotland did get convicted for hate speech just for making a joke where he filmed his dog raising it's paw when he said "gas the jews". Tiago, my dude, weird place to spread the news, but it's cool that you're getting it out there I guess. Maybe keep it more brief, less crazy, more in actual english, and less unrelated political opinions tied to it that might put people off, next time.
• Miss Froggie • Yeah, most brits aren't as... obnoxious as that guy. But you are right that freedom of speech laws here are kinda fucked up atm. The way that guy is going about it, though, just makes it worse.
Ive always wondered what Jeepers Creepers would be like if was, well good. I mean the weird boogie man with drakonic, vampiric or even cthuloid origin and skill set, must be something interesting in there.
Jeepers creepers 3 was always meant to be a sequel to the second movie, however for some reason the director insisted on making it a midquel for what ever reason, The reason why there are so many plot threads lose is because there is supposed to be a 4th movie coming out but who knows if thats going to happened
Darkron2 midquel ? I thought the name of the movie that was written as a prequel to a sequel that its also a sequel to the original was named the pre-sequel
bigevilworldwide1 he was caught performing felacio on a 12 year old boy, but close enough. Whole reason this thing was in production hell for years, when frankly it just shouldn't have happened at all. This film was pretty pointless regardless of th3 directors crime and hopefully a 4th film won't happen as a result of BOTH of those
BigK13372 yeah I did miss that part of the comment, pretty sure there is no way to have sex with a child without it being rape considering children can't give consent to something like that... Regardless, Salva really shouldn't still be making film's
I think a big part of the movie's appeal is how fun the name is to say. I feel that Phelous had to say it so much when filming that he started saying it even sillier than it already is just to keep his sanity.
So much of it is set in the day because the city they were shooting in found out about Salva's past and didn't allow him around individuals under 18 at night unsupervised.
Yep. Basically every movie Salva made since Powder has had that problem. The entire Jeepers Creepers franchise in particular. Lance Henriksen is a hypocrite. For decades he has negotiated into his contract that the movie can't show extreme violence's to a child.on screen. (This often force Millennium to Hitchcock but it was broadcast network TV of the 90s so they probably would have had to anyway.) However, he had no moral qualms working with Salva not once, but TWICE.
That had it's own problems. They were shooting at an actual school but the school board TRIED to have production shut down. Only California Law (at the time of Salva's release from prison) didn't have a rule that once you were on the registry, you were on the registry forever sort of deal. By the time JC 2 was in production in 2002, he was no longer even allowed to be monitored since it was more than 10 years since he last conviction. Canadian law is different. If you're a foreigner and you have ever been a sex offense on the books. you're registered and that's it. Done deal. Salva was caught trying to use forged documents (saying he had a pardon) and was thrown out of the country. It was originally going to be made in Vancouver but production was scrapped for years and eventually moved to Louisiana because as mentioned the laws there were pretty lapse.
Glad to see you cover this one too. No one was asking for a mis-titled third installment. A proper sequel, maybe but not this. I heard rumors and got my hopes up only to be disappointed with what's basically half a movie or maybe a 15-20 minute prologue at best. My sister loves finding stupid horror films to watch and she enjoyed the first two Jeepers Creepers so she put this on. I wasn't impressed or amused. I half-watched it and felt like they wasted their premise. Apparently 3 and 4 (allegedly the final film in the series) were filmed back to back...that only makes me think of the SyFy Anaconda sequels. I would've preferred the Old West story Salva pitched way back (think something like Tremors 4).
"that cat betrayed us, gave our location to jeepers creepers. Apparently she didn't think we were giving her fancy feast enough. Luckily I know my horse would never do that to me" "Right..hey, Jeepers Creepers? They're in the barn" I still love this joke- it makes about as much sense as this movie.
At least the first movie had some filmlike qualities and moments to it, but these days Jeepers Creepers 3 is a dime in dozen that looks like another SyFy-production with no attention to atmosphere building because that would actually need creating sets and lighting them properly. I’d like to see your review of Wish Upon (2017) which would provide some hilarious material to work with. Not just another completely unnecessary entry to a series that no one asked: Wrong Turn 3-5, Cabin Fever 2 and the Remake, Hostel 2-3, Resident Evil -saga etc.
I honestly think Phelous is dead wrong about the first movie, with points that really don't hold up. It's his equivalent to me of Nostalgia Critic's Casper review. And I formed this opinion having never even seen Jeepers Creepers at the time I watched his review of it. Many times that review had me saying 'what?!' simply because his arguments made no sense... They're bizarro reviews. Not so much here or in creepers 2.
planescaped agreed, but some of it I felt were nitpicks or struggling to come up with stuff anyway purely because he had to do horror films back then...2 and onwards I can see every point made
I actually like the design of Jeepers Creepers when he doesn't have his clothes on, for whatever the reason it makes him look like Freddy Krueger to me.
The more they add to The Creeper, the less intimidating he becomes. When I see him in this movie, all I can picture is him sitting in a garage, changing the oil and checking the tires of his Murder Mobile. That image is way too amusing to be scary.
Damn!! Love your setup behind you, big ghostbusters fan, in awe of the GB station in the background, starting out myself, still trying to find my voice. Nice video. Subbed.
It's like a 12 year old kid made a fan fiction and they accepted it. And it was one of those kids who kept adding "new" features and powers to the Jeeper Creeper. "He has all these axes but they are magic axes that return to him. And his truck is like the Sweet Tooth ice cream truck from Twisted Metal! But it's bullet proof. *gasps* And so is the tires!"
I used to get confused because his character model was so close to Joe Kendo's character model. I didn't understand how he escaped the exploding truck and why he also owned a gun shop :P
Nice little Resident Evil 2 moment. Good lord the boy was pointless in the movie, he didn't do anything, nothing would have changed if he wasn't in it, all he did was show us the bus from part 2.
I don't know why that got to me so much, but the part at 14:06 killed me. I get that this is a terrible Jeepers Creepers, but that truck is pretty cool - if you ignore the jeepers creeper, and use your imagination instead of pay attention closely, it's _not a terrible Maximum Overdrive midquel_ :P
Wade Lockard its is straight to video movie that had a limited run in selected theaters I know because I worked in one of the theater that where selected
ItsSoDane the director made a movie called about clowns breaking into a house and terrorizing the boy who lived there. After the movie came out he was convicted of molesting the boy during production.
Between this and the Cabin Fever remake I can't help but feel Phelous D1 has gotten a job in Hollywood. Not sure who else would pull such pointless strings to spite you... Or pull such pointless strings to have the movies made at all.
god I've been waiting for someone to tear this PoS to shreds finally. Like, holy damn i saw this thing and it was freaking awful. I've got plenty to say but i'm not nearly experienced enough in putting stuff together to do so myself. Great video my friend.
Jesus Ramirez Romo problem being it isn't something they've really expanded on, in the second film Darry and another boy show up as ghosts but they aren't connected to the character nor do they provide anywhere near as much info. In the first film we got a psychic and that was it, no ghosts...its still pretty inconsistent
At this rate, we should have the Creeper face off against the "Wrong Turn" Hillbilly Mutants and/or the Teleporting Zombie Fisherman from the "You Know What You Did Last Summer" Series.
Dude, you did a really good job with this review. I love all the edits and you were really funny. Keep up the great work and can't wait to see the next one!
perhaps part 4 will take place in space. hey it worked for Hellraiser right? plus Leprechaun. Dracula too. or have it take place in a hospital. that can be good right?

And the weapons/truck, it was already dumb in the 2nd movie, now it's comical beyond words, the Creeper is Ms. Frizzle, she got stuck in the shadowrealm and can only fly the magic school bus back into our world once every 23 years to eat flesh. That might as well be the origin at this point with how cheesy they took it.
😂😂😂😂...Mrs. Frizzle!
@@RenaldyCalixte It's literally the Magic School Bus but edgy at this point. Lol
Arnold: not another field trip.
creeper: *SNNIIFFFFF*
*arnold proceeds to shit himself* ..
He needs to go back to reviewing really scary movies... like Mac and Me.
The only thing that kept me interested in this movie was to learn the Creeper’s origin. You can only imagine how pissed off I was.
Nobody_1707 and them Dingo Pictures.
Where did you get a Sharp Hand Joe shirt? And where can I get it?
Where did you come from. Where did you go. Where did you come from. Sharp hand joe.
Its from a site called pizza party printing, just type in sharp hand joe shirt on google and its the first thing that pops up.
Tiago Pereira dos Santos Silva You have some serious issues dude!
Tiago Pereira dos Santos Silva
this guy is kind of a nut.
Take a shot everytime Phelous says Jeepers Creepers!
Getting hit by your own trap. I've done that so many times playing Mario Kart.
Ive always wondered what Jeepers Creepers would be like if was, well good. I mean the weird boogie man with drakonic, vampiric or even cthuloid origin and skill set, must be something interesting in there.
Oh good you’re roasting this movie too thank you phelous
Loved the The Room lines added in. lol
Also, this review surprised me. I even thought it was an old review I had already watched. xD
This film was pretty pointless regardless of th3 directors crime and hopefully a 4th film won't happen as a result of BOTH of those
bigevilworldwide1 You’re saying as if he’s even worse due to semantics of him raping a child when the fact he fucked one is already horrible.
BigK13372 yeah I did miss that part of the comment, pretty sure there is no way to have sex with a child without it being rape considering children can't give consent to something like that...
Regardless, Salva really shouldn't still be making film's
Darkron2 the script is already done when JC3 was in production
*Discount* Matthew Lillard!? Can you really have a discount version of store brand?
What is Premium Matthew Lillard?
Craig Martin Matthew McConaughey.
Ah, gotcha.
Craig Martin you mean Shaggy lol
BigK13372 so McConauhay is Lillard's evolution
I think a big part of the movie's appeal is how fun the name is to say. I feel that Phelous had to say it so much when filming that he started saying it even sillier than it already is just to keep his sanity.
2:26 the hand from the Addams family totally awsome grab him hand.!
Man, So many new videos by so many RUclips stars I enjoy watching... and my brother is taking me to the airport to fly to Japan!
Tommy Deonauth's Archives have fun, lucky bastard
Tommy Deonauth's Archives hope you and mario have a grait time in japan!
Tommy Deonauth's Archives Have fun and a safe flight!
Otakun The vegan Thanks! Hopefully the hotel we're staying at has Wi-Fi...
Rik Peek We will. Any my brotha's name is Kevin by the way. I get the joke about my icon.
So much of it is set in the day because the city they were shooting in found out about Salva's past and didn't allow him around individuals under 18 at night unsupervised.
Holy shit is that true?
@@jessewilley531 What about Jeepers 2? That was mostly set at night.
I actually was excited for this movie but I also expected it to suck and it did.
Creeper looks like a Star Trek character wearing a bad Freddy Krueger cosplay suit.
Fitting comparison when you take into account Victor Salva.
Luckily I know my horse would never do that to me"
"Right..hey, Jeepers Creepers? They're in the barn"
I still love this joke- it makes about as much sense as this movie.
Phelous doing another Horror review warms my heart.
Sweet I like all your Reviews but The horror ones are my favorite.
Dude, you ripped this movie to shreds! Well done man.
Yes, a Horror Flick review from Phelous again... Good shit...
Phelous is back with a horror review ?
Ohhhhhh myyyyyyyy gooooooooooood !!!!!!!!!
Not so much here or in creepers 2.
planescaped agreed, but some of it I felt were nitpicks or struggling to come up with stuff anyway purely because he had to do horror films back then...2 and onwards I can see every point made
Caarajack Ooooh, yeah. I'd love to see Phelous take on Wish Upon! Movie's hilariously bad!
funny part is,it did got aired in syfy
Caarajack 4:25 is that stan Shaw ?
I'm sure Victor Salva and Teddy, Brother of the Freddy would get along pretty well.
I actually like the design of Jeepers Creepers when he doesn't have his clothes on, for whatever the reason it makes him look like Freddy Krueger to me.
So is the truck a part of his body like the ninja stars in 2?
zach krake 7:55 that's what I would do the creeper right?
The more they add to The Creeper, the less intimidating he becomes. When I see him in this movie, all I can picture is him sitting in a garage, changing the oil and checking the tires of his Murder Mobile. That image is way too amusing to be scary.
Damn!! Love your setup behind you, big ghostbusters fan, in awe of the GB station in the background, starting out myself, still trying to find my voice. Nice video. Subbed.
When the the review has more energy than the actual movie itself.
I watched this movie with a friend while extremely drunk and it was deadass hilarious
16:56 - It really doesn't help that Creepers looks like a discount Freddy Krueger if he was part gargoyle. What the fuck, lol.
I can't believe that they even released this movie with the guys history...
I like calling the Creeper “jeepers creepers” as well
Phelous: It's a mid-quel
Me, an intellectual: It's a pre-sequel
We should get a Jeepers Creepers 4: Creeper vs. Trolls vs. Three Fingers.
Supposedly it’s not setting up a jeepers creepers 4, no it’s setting up a jeepers creepers tv show
That sky continuity joke is priceless
Wow, the visual effects are worse than the first two films.
18:59 No doubt the Creep is thinking “Oh man, why didn’t I take those flying lessons from Sephiroth?”
"That guys a manic....why'd he bite me?"
Can someone tell me where that line Is from it sounds so familure
I think its from RE 2
MajinQueen semi truck driver from RE 2
Thanks! :)
I used to get confused because his character model was so close to Joe Kendo's character model. I didn't understand how he escaped the exploding truck and why he also owned a gun shop :P
Do you mean “familiar”?
Nice little Resident Evil 2 moment. Good lord the boy was pointless in the movie, he didn't do anything, nothing would have changed if he wasn't in it, all he did was show us the bus from part 2.
Yesssss I've been waiting for this for a bit! Great review, Phelous!
Holy sheet. A horror review. Thank you fail-us!
6:07 Holy shit Hera, what are you doing in this??
I don't know why that got to me so much, but the part at 14:06 killed me.
I get that this is a terrible Jeepers Creepers, but that truck is pretty cool - if you ignore the jeepers creeper, and use your imagination instead of pay attention closely, it's _not a terrible Maximum Overdrive midquel_ :P
Barry-Allen The-Flash 14:05 is Trisha jenner gonna have a kid named after her brother darry jenner?
Finally, back to the horror movies.
I don't get the director jokes but I'm glad I watched this movie on Netflix because if I saw this in theater I would have been disappointed.
Sadly all true cause, cause I like Jeepers Creepers 1 & 2
I think this movie is straight to video but not sure on that
Wade Lockard its is straight to video movie that had a limited run in selected theaters I know because I worked in one of the theater that where selected
ah okay I wasn't too sure about that
ItsSoDane the director made a movie called about clowns breaking into a house and terrorizing the boy who lived there.
Less than 3 minutes in and I've already laughed a whole bunch. What really got me was "oh, lovers on the moon" "yeah"
You're a funny man, Phelan.
Apparently the new one Jeepers Creepers Reborn is even worse.
god I've been waiting for someone to tear this PoS to shreds finally. Like, holy damn i saw this thing and it was freaking awful. I've got plenty to say but i'm not nearly experienced enough in putting stuff together to do so myself. Great video my friend.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Creeper
mokonarose01 lol! (😁😀😁😂😃😄😅)
I love your horror movie reviews
I saw the dvd in a Tesco and I thought of you instantly
Im still looking for the futuristic sequel cartoon show "Jeepers and the Wheeled Creepers"....a man can dream...
10:28 They sort of do explain that, the son's ghost is now part of The Creeper, so he only comes when he does
Jesus Ramirez Romo problem being it isn't something they've really expanded on, in the second film Darry and another boy show up as ghosts but they aren't connected to the character nor do they provide anywhere near as much info. In the first film we got a psychic and that was it, no ghosts...its still pretty inconsistent
I know I always say did "blankety blank" really need another sequel.... BUT DID JEEPERS CREEPERS REALLY NEED ANOTHET SEQUEL!!!
Dracula too. or have it take place in a hospital. that can be good right?
docthemetalfreak Can't forget Jason X!
docthemetalfreak Are you serious, the 4th movie will take place 23 years after the 2nd movie
docthemetalfreak and plus the creeper can't be in space
No. Creeper needs to take place in Manhattan...but only for the last 20 minutes of the film.
Most of it has to take place on a boat.
