I made these and left two strings longer than the rest to tie on the tree. Before I figure that out I used the ornament hanger and hooked them from the back.

I throw them on the tree
Just tie them up with a wool string
i made this and it was so fun to make as well as make them at school it dose takes a long time to make them it took me 1 hour for 1 it took me 2 hours for the second
