- Christmas gets ruined with very annoying music. So make the season more interesting with METAL singers making Christmas music!
The intention of the video is not to throw hate on a particular artist, as explained I was just surprised to find Mariah in the 5-3rd position of the whole youtube world. I am glad she is making some money cuz lets face she is not that relevant anymore, so good for her. I use her image to make a point saying that there are amazing versions and artists, yet people are stuck listening the same 3 or 4 artists.
Just as a disclaimer I am pronouncing all the commercial artists names WRONG and that is intentional. Other you-tubers feel free to pronounce metal artists names wrong and I find that very disrespectful, so I am doing the opposite just for the heck of it.
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel. I get very little for the amount of work this represents, but I am glad you are here looking at what I have to say in regards to the metal world.

Tarja is amazing and her From Spirits And Ghost (Score For A Dark Christmas) is the perfect christmas album. I would also ad the albums Tarja Turunen: Ave Maria - En Plein Air and Tarja Turunen - Henkäys Ikuisuudesta. Not to forget Tarja Turunen & Haurus - In Concert - Live At Sibelius Hall cd/dvd/blu-ray.
Im so sick of this over played pop crap🤮. Tarja Turnen has the voice of an angel and love singing along to her music . I love all the bands you mentioned 💕💕

@@metalground212 yeah these bands are so underrated. I love Tuomas's album the life and times of mr. Scrooge, and i have nightwishs movie imaginarium, it was beautiful and sad all at the same time. In 2015 i got to see Nightwish, delane, and sabaton in vegas. Beat time ever
@@sarahvincent2305 yeah I wanted to include Nightwish Imaginaerum I remember watching the movie, and I believe it develops in winter time. Idk I should include some of those songs on the playlist as well.
For me TARJA'S From Spirits And Ghosts is the most exquisite Christmas album of all time !!!! Bought 3 !!!!
And her official videos for it are beyond compare too !!!!!

Great picks, but you should definitely check the material from annual Finnish "Raskasta Joulua = Heavy Christmas" Tour. There our frontline metal musicians and some hand picked international guests (like Floor Jansen, Elize Ryd, Tommy Karevik etc.) perform Christmas music with the metal twist.
And by the way, the best "rock" Christmas album (IMHO) is "The Jethro Tull Christmas Album" (2003). Excellent folkprog musicianship and not too much about "Jesse". Merry Christmas from Finland! 🎅⛄👍

I hear where you're coming from during my working life I spent nearly 10 years in various shops and the Christmas music they play just sucks the life out of me and it starts playing way to soon. Not to mention all the displays and items get put on the shelves far to early. It's a shame that the shops are far to weak apart from music shops to stray away from the sedate playlist.
I happen to like Christmas music. The whole season is really fkn nostalgic for me. However, I completely agree with the assessments of the artists given at the beginning! So much Christmas music is over-played, renditions of the same goddamned songs over and over again, the same way over and over again. The Christmas music I like most is different, non-traditional, atypical. I have some albums which have some classic carols and songs performed in different ways, and of course pieces original to the bands.
I'm glad you made this video, because I think it's the sort of thing we need more of!

An aside: I'm pretty sick of people doing basically a strict cover of a song, but putting distortion on the guitars and calling it a metal cover. That's not how it fkn works!

Christmas Metal songs are way better than those mainstream, boring Christmas pop songs that people insist on playing every year.. 🤘 I sometimes appreciate some older, traditional Christmas songs, but in limited amounts.... The album, "A Christmas Carol" by Majestica is a favourite from last year... 😉🤘

@@metalground212 I’m a huge Tarja fan. But, in Mariah’s defense, in her prime, she was great. She could out belt these metal singers any day of the week. Whitney, as well. And, Aretha Franklin. I could go on. Today, Mariah is terrible, and the other two are dead. I love Tarja’s classical singing though. No other metal singer can top her.
