Hey bud I just watched your video on the 555. And I have an Iver Johnson IJ600E that looks identical to 556. My gun is new and I can’t get the action to lock close. Any advice? Iver Johnson has not responded to me!

@@jeffreyarcher5030 Did you take it apart? I would make sure your top lever is pushed to the right and clicks out and then close the action, if that doesn’t work something could be broken, there’s no other reason to think it won’t close unless it was assembled incorrectly, likely on the receiver if it has 2 bars that can rotate, if it persists I would send it for warranty, 1 year manufacturer warranty but they’ll fix it regardless and likely have a small charge if the warranty is expired, I don’t know a ton about those shotguns since they aren’t really available in Canada that much, hope you’re able to sort it out!

Firing pin on my 555 trap model just broke. Gun has 1300 rounds through it. Hoping Savage will send me one. Do you know where to get them?

@@tomswan3805 You’ll have to call Savage directly and they’ll require you to send them the shotgun, did it literally snap or is it just not working?

@@LakesnWoodsOutdoors It snapped about 1/4" from the tip. Called savage and they're sending me one.

@@tomswan3805 That’s awesome, as long as you feel comfortable replacing it there shouldn’t be any issues, looks like I should have delved further in this disassembly to help you out lol

@@LakesnWoodsOutdoors Your video was very helpful. This is my first break action shotgun and I wasn't sure how to separate the receiver from the stock. From there removing the old firing pin was simple. Just a matter of waiting for the new one now. It's a shame parts for these guns seem to be scarce.

@@tomswan3805 They really are, I lost one of the ejector detents when disassembling one time and they made me send the whole gun to replace it, while it was sent out I found the detent in my vise lol, happy I could help!
