- Let's fire up the mock draft machine on Pro Football Focus and play around with what this thing could look like next week.
I'm going to do one draft with what I think the Cowboys will do and one with what I personally would do. Either way, it's fun to play with the simulator and fix the Cowboys.

Love your mock draft 2, getting Worthy and Trotter, with Morgan would be awesome.
That first mock looks like a best case scenario that is hard to imagine them going for right now.

I think it's almost a lock to take a center with thier 1st pick which is hopefully Barton if they stay at 24 or trade down and get Fraizer. Then play Bass at LG and kick Tyler Smith out to LT. Then take a LB in Round 2 and a RB in Rd 3.
Hey Jeff, I'm interested in your perspective on the left vs right tackle thing.
I've seen alot of mocks that send Mims to Dallas but iirc he's never played left tackle and the rule with LT has always been "I have to have seen you do it". Given that, wouldn't drafting a RT like Mims there be a potential wasted pick?
Colson is exactly what we need. We have splash players all over the defense. We need someone to settle down the middle of the unit

I liked the 2nd draft better...OL Must get fixed ASAP thus letting Morgan, Beebe, Bass, & Hoffman compete for LG + C gives us a chance for a "good" OL + quality depth
Should have taken Lloyd at 87 - he was staring you in the face.
If they end up with those players or close to those players 3 of 4 will start and have close to all pro seasons if not all pro. Suamatatia will start and hold his own. I think 2 could be perennial all pro's and Allen could also pick up multiple all pro seasons with the Cowboys. The running game will be better than its been in years and because the running game will be phenomenal Dak will have his best year by far and to me the measurement for Dak is efficiency and high TD to turnover ratio e.g. 35 TD's and 2 interceptions with very few if any fumbles, completion percentage, and how well he leads the offense which means a lot of long TD scoring drives. The defense will also be much better because of the increased number of long offensive drives, less time on the field, and increased 3 & outs. I think they would have drafted Lloyd or Davis instead of Allen at 87 but I love Allen and the type of game he brings to the table. Anyone of those 3 guys with the offensive lineman you picked up combined with what we already have could produce a league leading or close to it rushing game.

Every mock has a center a LB and a DT in rds 1,2 and 3 that we could use day one. As well as RBs. Now that’s not saying much because it’s just a mock but still should be guys available in early rds that can come in and contribute more than last years had the opportunity to

I liked them both. I prefer the first. I'm very into the idea of fixing the O-line. I think by mid-season, Suamataia might be solid and then we're golden.

Jeff, how would you feel about these picks:
• Trade 24 to Buffalo for 28 and 128
- 28: Jackson Powers-Johnson
- 56: Jonathon Brooks
- 87: T’Vondre Sweat
- 128: Caedan Wallace
- 174: Jordan Magee
We need to trade back to the end of the 1st to like pick 28-30 and pick up and extra 3rd. Hope Barton, JPJ, Fuaga, Mims or Fautanu, Morgan or (Guyton last resort) fall to us Then trade back 4 or 5 spots in the 2nd and pick up a 4th. That gives you 1-1st, 1-2nd, 2-3rds and 1-4th. Created 2 extra picks by losing 10 potential players you could have had. More than worth it. Opens up your option of going OT and C rounds 1 and 2, if the right guys are there. Solidify 3/5 of your OL for the next Decade. Allows you to get your WR and RB with your 2-3rd rounders you now have since both positions stretch s9 deep in this draft and build our DL, LB and DB depth from the 4th round on.
Overshown can make the splash plays. Colson is more of the commander and organizer. Like PQ and RO last season. Colson is the pick. From a Raven fan.
Everytime you pulled up running backs you overlooked and didn't mention Ray Davis does that mean you don't like him or haven't watched him?
I like your 2nd Mock Draft, however we don't have a 4 Round Pick, so we would have to wait until the 5th Round for a running back.
is there not a run stopper DL we can get in Mid/later rounds? I really liked the 2nd draft better but what in the draft can we do to address the middle triangle of our defense (DT/DL/MLB)
Egdrine Cooper should've been tge 2nd round pick. Hoping they pick up Estime as the RB but he's not one of the listed visits so not looking good
Barton will be 1st center taken and JPJ will fall to late 20s bank on it..Frazier will be taken late rd 1 to early rd 2

I think you could have got cooper at 56 and your same BYU tackle at 64.
If Cooper LB is still around at the 2nd pick, you run that selection up to the mic

The OT room is so deep, as well as the WR room, you could have taken LB Cooper, since the LB room is not deep and then an OT or RB in R3&R4. Would be cool if you would trade back twice, since this draft is so packed with good talent and the Cowboys have so many needs. Can't wait to see you with Voch!! Good Times!!

@@charlesbudd7694 I agree that we need to draft a WR but imo this draft is so packed with quality WRs, I think we can find a better WR than Tolbert in R4/5/6.

@@IntheClutch75 taking the best center on the board, came back with CB if wiggins was there and then grabbed J wright as my 3rd down rb…hell he’d prolly be 3 down starter. Explosive as they come…if not CB Wiggins then maybe T or LB I forget who was available…
I really think philly grabs the center from Oregon. Hope not, but if he is on the board a few picks from philly. Ide hope they trade up to grab him, but thats doubtful.
