  • What English level are you? What English level do you need to be successful in English? 🤔
    English B1 Level - Intermediate?
    English B2 Level - Upper-Intermediate?
    English C1 Level - Advanced?
    English C2 Level - Proficient?
I wanted to make a video to discuss English levels in depth and to clarify when and why English levels are important. But I also wanted to highlight that they are not the be-all and end-all!
Your English level does not define you or your potential - it helps others to fit you into a neatly organised system (designed to make lots and lots of money from you!) So many English learners spend thousands of dollars and experience multiple failures trying to claw their way to "the next level"...
But what if there was another way? A more fruitful and enjoyable way?!
Hey Lady! is an English-speaking community where we avoid the focus on your "English level" and instead create an environment where non-native voices are valued, respected and nurtured to their full potential. There are no exams or levels to complete, there are simply opportunities to inspire, experience and explore.

Hi emma, I agree with your opinion, I would just like to add that many companies only need B2 level. It certainly depends on the position.

Thank you Emma for your new video . I believe I belong to C1 or C2 because I can think in English and enjoy movies without subtitles. However, I still have tremendous joy learning English online! 🎉❤

Thank you! I am happy to be here hence I mispushed my keyboard on my laptop and accidentally detached the function of my touchpad from the keyboard. I lost the function of the mouse since I navigate on my laptop with the help of the touchpad. Luckily I was able to push the proper thing again...

Hi, Emma! I've been following you from MMMEnglish and I'd love to join your community, but I am not completely sure about my level. Can I join even if sometimes I can't speak fluently and if I am a shy person? I think I'm a B1, but not always 😂 Sometimes I struggle more with English, but I'm really determined to learn. Of course, I'm a woman, over 18 years old 😊 Thank you so much for all the content you create for us!
