- In this video I will show you a few tricks on how to remove or hide scratches on your car, but also I'll go over how you can permanently remove and fix light and deep car scratches in your clear coat by hand. I will show you what types of sand paper that is needed, the rubbing compound to use and again there is no need for a rotary polisher or a Dual Action or Random Orbital Polisher.

This is top advice, thanks.
Btw, you can easily hide scratch marks on your furniture that the puppy makes by leaving a car in your living room.
Used it for the first time last weekend definitely worth buying if you're a person who likes detailing your own car recommend first time to use on lowest setting 800 so you don't burn paint don't leave in one spot keep moving it over paint easy to use ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfzbDkCRyv3CFXnLZI4APZtRRuG2uRmP2 truck looks like new again used maguires black light battery life like all milwaukee products seem to hold up well 😀
I'm a single mom, and recently inherited my dads 1997 Chevy Z71 when he passed away. It's actually in pretty good shape, other than oxidation and pollen from sitting uncovered in the elements. I'm trying to restore and detail inside and out as much as I can on a budget. I've watched tons of videos, and yours by far is one of the most informative I've seen. I look forward to seeing more. Thank you.
I don’t usually enjoy these types of videos, but I love your sense of humor and ......... your doggie!
You’re a great instructor. Thanks for showing me how to hide the scuff on my bumper.🌸
Love your sense of humour!!
Keep up the videos love em!!
Good job! A+++ Simple and straight to the point. Thanks
Thank you for this video. By no stretch am I a DIY guy but this video was so simple that it gave me confidence I could do it and -- voila -- I did! Worked, great and likely saved a few hundred dollars. The dog was a fun touch, too. Thanks again for taking time to produce the video.
Thank you for reminding me of some things, and giving me some new bits of knowledge. Sort of a quick and dirty master class on scratch removal. I do not understand who could have thumbs-downed this video! Thumbs up from me. Thanks again.
I am pretty sure cute little doggies gave the video a thumbs down
Your one of the best! The videos are always well produced and easy to follow. I didn't see anything past the puppy. Man he's growing fast.
haha, yea he's gaining 4 lbs a week pretty much.
Sexy and smart. I'm learning so much.
It is really a very informative and direct tutorial!
I find that rubbing compound on a damp cloth (LIGHTLY) and removed with wet cloth asap followed by polishing compound works good. I do this after touch ups too. Always save any exterior parts you have replaced because you can practice on them:)
Thank you for your video. You are direct and to the point. Your dry sense of humor is fabulous. You are my kind of instructor.
You have a qualities of a good teacher
Excellent & informative video; your step by step process is thorough & left me confident to correctly address a tiny scratch on my Honda Civic. The puppy was a nice touch, you AND the woof are adorable!
Your a great teacher with simple scientific explanations.
A very well presented and instructional video. Well done and thank you.
DAMN! I just did this step-by-step on my black car and IT WORKED! Worked VERY WELL. Between the sand paper and compound I spent about $18. Works SUPER well. Thank you! Great Video.

How much does it cost, and where can I purchase it???
I have enjoyed your previous videos, but now, with puppies, and jokes.....Priceless!!

James
Are you making a joke about elbow grease? It’s an idiom
Elbow grease means hard work.... You cannot get it in a brick and mortar store or online..... Lol...... And by the way there is no substitute for hard work.....
I can't stop laughing at those wanting a link to "elbow grease" and asking where you can buy it? 😃
No, sweat, it's free.
@STAR OF DAVID67 as a non English speaker it got me the first time 😰
Stores usually place it the same aisle as sparks for grinders and left handed screw drivers
Link them to the oven cleaner named elbow grease and see how far it gets them😅
Dammit I wanted that link, well had to look up myself, here it is for the rest elbowgreasecleans.com/stockists/
That puppy is adorable man
Thanks, he's a teddy bear with sharp teeth basically.

Great video! I have to wash & wax or ceramic hybrid spray my car that has a good number of scratches. Do you recommend removing scratches first or washing & waxing/spraying first?
Wow, that is super! Thanks
You can get “Elbow Greece” at your local hardware store. It is located next to the left handed screwdrivers.
Close to the nail strester
On the clear coat and scratch removal you gave excellent advice. Send these videos to the man who offered you $20....What an insult, good business to you Sir and thank you.

Hi, you got any idea about how to repair some deep scratches on the base coat? I saw someone using brush to dip some paint on the surface. Do you have any detailed instruction on that?
Perfect job brother thanks a lot. 👍👍👍☝☝
Thank you and just like one of the other guy said in the comments, the link for the elbow grease had me in stitches 🤣 🤝👍🙏

Thanks so much for clear, no nonsense info. I feel fully confident that I can fix my scuffs and scratches! PS - I'm a chef by trade, so I don't do dishes either. ;) That's what the dish pit is for.lol.

Hi thanks for the video can this method work on tailights ?
You should have post the link of the shelter website .. thank you for adopting
Helluva job my friend!! and LOVE PUPPY...Marty in Florida.....
Great video.
Awesome video, glad you kept the puppy. Why is it called a cutting compound?
Hi Great Video learned alot.
What would be the difference between using the wet sanding or dry sanding??
Is there a reason to use one over the other???
Thank you again
God Bless
When wet sanding the water acts as lubricant, it keeps the dust down, and it also keeps the paper clean longer and therefore provides more direct contact between the grit and the surface. However it gets messy and all over the panel, but over all it is best when doing big jobs. Dry sanding creates dust, also it doesn't allow for direct contact between the grit and the surface since it gets clogged. Generally speaking wet sanding is over clear coat and sometimes primer/sealer finishes and dry sanding is over body filler, primer/sealer or bare area's. Unless you are working on a very small area as in this video, in which case it doesn't make a huge difference. cheers
I'm confused, so you did not touch up paint? It looked like you just sanded and buffed it out with compound.
Is that what you did, great video by the way. I might have to try the puppy trick, lol
love the channel man keep the videos coming 👍
Will do, thanks for watching.
you are a genius!
