the worst part about the first clip isn't that she charged without seeing the patrol on the right. It's that she had no idea there's an entire room of mobs to her left, even as she died.

Well deserved. Not a good idea to tell a mage to kite mobs that have ranged attacks and especially mana burn.
If people used unitframes with cast bars they would have known the mobs were casting mana burn and could have kicked / csed etc. horrible players
I will never understand risking big pulls or skipping packs to save 30 seconds where if it goes bad you lose days.
I just love watching mages pulling their reckless frost nova, aoe blizzard shite 😅 I just sit back and watch, as their health and mana bars drop... Then once they nuke the mobs down, and they sit there to regenerate themselves, an evil part of me hopes that a stray mob will just catch them off guard while they're vulnerable, to teach them a lesson that "haste makes waste" as they lose their character and have to start all over again at level one!
I've befriended such a mage while we were both lvl 7 on my lock. Well... My lock is now 32 while he is currently leveling his 6th or so mage! To be honest, I've lost count how many times he's died!
But hopefully one day he'll learn that, rushing Hardcore WOW is basically suicide!

But you do understand that the height doesnt change right? If you survived one jump, you survive all of them.
Its just that you have to know where to safely jump ... if you arent sure, do not do it.

@@Centail He's got a point though, I'll jump in the water to catch a boat that's leaving but won't get eaten by sharks, I'll jump off the zeppelin but I'm not going to die. The only time I'll take a risk is if I'm playing warrior and try to charge a mob beneath, the mob might move or lag/jumping gets you out of range. I'd do it each time if I'm a mage and learned blink. I may DC while jumping and die, that's why I don't play games made by small indie companies.

You dont save 2 minutes, you save like 30 seconds. Its ridiculous. I jump on my rogue with fall damage back and safe fall and people used to follow me to their death so i stopped.

@@unhommequicourt The mob has a Garrote debuff, which means the Rogue initiated combat herself; if pickpocket failed then the mob would aggro and wouldn't have the Garrote debuff.

@@Zejgar You can make a macro for pickpocket then garrote but there is no "resist" so only garrote.
He opened on it with a Garrote, and then stood there fighting it. He didn't even try to pickpocket it... so... try again. @@unhommequicourt
That first pull is the place many groups wiped. If you charge in, you may also pull the 2 in the room to the left and then the pat on the right. And after you finish killing the 4 original mobs, skeletons pop from behind. Plus one of the original 4 mobs can be a battle mage which does massive aoe dmg. So thats essentially a 12 mob pull....even for a well geared group, its a potential wipe or at least a 2-3 death situation. Pulling the group back with los usually solves the problem.
Even if you ranged pull it back, you can still chain to the patrol in the next room. The only reliable way is to wait for that patrol to walk away, which is only really possible if you have a rogue, druid, warlock or hunter scout/track its position.
I absolutely love how many people in HC don't know pulling exists or think they're too good for it...or sometimes just dont coordinate with their group lmao.
I also love how many people don't realize how easy it is to lose dice rolls to orange mobs.
As a tank in hc I basically never charge into groups. I have no idea why you would, is the 15 rage worth wiping your group?
Rogues doing the Alliance version of the poison quest:
- You don't need to kill the Malformed Defias Drone, just pickpocket it (read the damn book).
- Do the quest at 22 or later when you get Vanish.
- Do not attack either the elite or the drone. Not only do they hit like trucks, attacking them could lead into them parrying your attack, which in turn gives them parry-haste, and then you get a situation like in this video where you get deleted in 2 seconds.
the final clip of the 2 druids is pretty brutal. Totally abandoned the bear to die when he had full mana and could have healed him through those easy ass mobs
even as feral they could have helped more, imo, with a barkskin/hurricane. Attacking as a cat there is not helping much. And then the fact that they didn't help heal the bear either. Sad :(
As a warrior don‘t charge EVER in any Monastery- Dungeon with the Soldiers. Always pull with bow then LOS and start marking sheeps, Skull.
You have to play classic dungeons like HEROIC dungeons. That way you will clean through them. As a tank tell your teammates what to do, mark targets, pull LOS.

He made it worse than it had to be, but at least didnt 100% panic, props to him. Betting that is hard when you are that high level. He should have abused LoS more to bandage, could have gotten a full heal off, avoiding the whole ring around the rosie part. Also could have abused LoS standing in the doorway instead of running around dragging the mob outside

It generates rage so it's the best way to pull for warriors, you also get to fight the mobs without them splitting up from their original position from threat from your group etc.
The issue was not turning it's camera to see the patrols.
@@Ghost-fe1vpno, the issue was charge pulling in a hallway where you can't see around the corners without pulling. There is no situation where charge pulling is ok in the halls of SM unless you're with a literal expert group you're used to playing with. Actually I shouldn't even say "pulling" with charge. Charge is good aggro for 1 mob, just tell your dps to stay calm, hardly worth the risk.

lol same thought. was pretty much universal strategy in OG vanilla to pull the first packs in that room back across the bridge to the room next to the beast's room, until you could safely get into the corner to the left and pull the rest before drak. guess the overgeared, overconfident zergfest strats most people are used to ignore this.

100% agree. I always pulled them back across the bridge when I farmed UBRS.
In fact- I would pull that first pack, AND the patrolling one back across the bridge. THEN we'd go into that room and start clearing.
Why risk chargers and stunner so close to a bridge.
Personally I always tank that one in the corner after pulling back the one that stands there, but I also say what I want when I'm leading, and if anyone's not sure about marks etc I don't pull until all is clear
@@AM-bo2ns That makes a lot of sense, I've been wondering why players take some of the worst dungeons lightly, but if you ran through there with an overgeared group before, maybe never even went in there with low level characters, that makes perfect sense. I remember so many wipes in Stratholme and Karazhan for example, but I also remember doing 15-20 minute mount runs in Stratholme just running through mobs, and once helped out a raid in Karazhan with a t6 BiS tank, turned the thing from a nightmare into a relaxed hour and a half of stand up comedy on ventrilo, we wiped on Prince because of buggy elemental spawns other than that the group was surprised how fast you can run Kara. They went from being on edge, to being excited/flabbergasted about the tank charging into packs of 8 mobs, holding aggro and not dying, and then they started relaxing and having fun.
TL;DR Karazhan was a nightmare, but if you only ran it on BiS chars you wouldn't have a clue, you can run it sub 1 hour with BiS chars compared to a good 2-3 hours if your raid barely has T4.

Warriors. When you go to pull a pack of mobs. Select the furthest one away. Throw at it. Immediately run out of line of sight. Bring them back to a kill zone. There is no need to charge, in so many instances. Get demoshout up early. SUNDER ASAP for threat.

6:31 if you have to make a bandage mid combat you already lost. Should have a full 20 stack before you leave town. He lucked out that the mobs below didn't respawn yet while the mage was after him or he'd have been dead easy.
I was waiting for the mob to spawn in when he finally got the bandage off.
The first video with Desi was in fact a LONG time coming:
- She has a constant tendency to cast charge into mob packs as the "tank", then proceeds to just go through her regular dps rotation with berserker stance. While she's been able to get away with this for lower-level dungeons, bad habits have finally caught up to her. The death would have been entirely avoided if she had just ranged pulled, but again...bad habits that she's been doing for a very long time.
- More often than not, she "tanks" in Battle and Berserker stance, putting undue pressure on her healer. Again, in lower level dungeons I suppose that's fine...but her teammates definitely picked up the brunt of her play. It's as if she willfully ignores that Zerker stance causes her to take more damage(I suppose she wants more rage gen sure), but try doing that in a raid. Even if she had survived this, she would have taken all that into UBRS or AQ20 where this type of play would not fly.
RIP to her, but especially to her teammate Dynamics.

i went there at 20, never having done the human rogue quest for poisons.. i saw some other dude pickpocketed the drone before me, and his pockets were empty.
we grouped, went up to the top, level 24 elite with patrols. .. yeah bye, i'll come back when i'm higher.
i don't understand why these people insist on fighting everything, that drone can 2hit kill
you don't fight anything, you pickpocket the guy at the bottom and sap the guy at the top and loot the box, then can drop down and escape, pretty straight forward, theres some jank with resists at 20 that make it a little dodgy, but if you have sprint up and tar dummies, pots, etc its perfectly safe and quite fun.

So I just started doing HC today, my lvl10 shaman just died and I'm rather annoyed, that said I can't imagine how pissed off people that are 40+ are given the amount of time needed to get there.
and you get infinetly more pissed if your char DC'ed from shitty blizzard server and not your internet, and you log back in and he is dead.
I’ve lost 3x lvl60 chars since starting HC in December. WE. GO. AGANE!!
The main thing to remember as a shaman is that the totems stay behind on the ground for their full duration, even if you do not. This can and will eventually result in enemies either patrolling to or spawning on top of those totems after you have left, aggroing at them and therefore at you. If you are in a dungeon and they can pathfind to you, they'll come looking for you and alert everyone they run past to join that lynching mob. Even if vanilla doesn't have totem recall skill, you can forcibly place down the totems again to move them to your location. This is vital for some boss fights, where enemies spawn outside the boss room to prevent you from fleeing - if your totems are still there, they'll pull those enemies and they'll join the bossfight.
Most people get to 25 in the time you need to get to 10 if youre a new player. Welcome btw and take it slow.
You gotta feel for people that havent done cathedral before and all start coming when you attack boss haha

Desi didn't even have MS on her bar until level 45 or something and leveled all the way to 60 with a group of 3 without ever battle shouting so yeah, I'd say she had this death coming. Also she harasses people in her chat for prime subs 😂

And those that don't fall in line, and still treat this version of the game like retail, will simply keep on dying until they learn, give up, or go completely insane!

Even Wrath classic has devolved as such but, at least the Beta Heroics gives one pause for actual Human Thought!
And now that we have hardcore, in which deaths are probably running in their MILLIONS at this moment, I'm hoping intelligent gameplay and tactics, rather than this relentless need to blast speed through content, will make a Much Welcome comeback!!! Once players who cannot adjust to this slower and thoughtful style of gameplay give up hardcore after the umpteenth death! 😁👍🏼

Mage is braindead... was told to kite the mobs not AOE farm them lol all he had to do was blizzard them and run away until they reset...
They were all so bad. The strat was bad poorly explained, the mage obv had no clue to kite them until reset. The mage was bad even with his AoE farming he could have lived if he just stayed in ice block for the full duration as his only task was to buy time. The group didnt pay any attention and helped him way too late. The priest was doing some questing shit.

I am convinced many of these players are newish to era, did dung cleave in 2019 classic (so didn't learn how the game works when leveling) or are experienced streamers who try to beat difficult things for the glory.
