Yuna surprised me so much this comeback. Not that I didn’t acknowledge her talent and abilities before but... now she really stood out for me and Lia too. All of the members are outstanding but this time Yuna and Lia surprised me the most

Serious question: is that something tall Idols have? Like, every female Idol that is tall walks like a model, like Jeongyeon from Twice (many people said her catwalk was perfect, for some videos of pre-debut), Yujin from Iz*One, and Yuna from Itzy? (There's obviously more idols).
Is that something they do? Like for fun or they are trained for that (cuz I know that, in Korea, they love girls with long legs, so i think that the company might train them how to do that, but ifk I'm not Korean).

Honestly, i love all of them, but for me this song requires a very high level of energy and intensity. Ryujin is a phenomenal dancer and Lia is definitely on the road to be on par with the ITZY's leads, but none of them has the energy Yuna puts on her moves every single time. Hence why she's not only my favorite dancer, but also performer

Ryujin is definitely the most controlled, and experienced dancer. Yuna ia AMAZING especially for her age and lia has the least amount of training and doesn't have that natural fluidity. But she has improved!! Yuna has lots of stage presence and ryujin makes everything look so easy!

Also, you see more or ryujin's presence when she's actually on stage. Yuna always has that, which is why she is my bias. I cant argue that ryujin would probably do better teaching someone how to dance tho. She's just a lot more technical. That's what i like about itzy tho, they all specialize in different things.

@pazzoio U prefer Yeji over Chae thats why u dont trust her. Most dancers say Chae is better but Yeji has more stage presence thats why it is more entertaining (i am a Yeji Stan but lets be honest)

Yuna always looks like shes having the best time of her life. She isn't the strongest dancer out of the group but she dancing style totally fits ITZY's songs. I personally think she does that drop hip move the best. She also has great facial expressions that comes very naturally.

I don't really get the controlling thing. When you start dancing, you learn movements. For example, first you move your hips. Then you move your legs. Then you put them together, and keep practicing. The amount of control you put into something depends on joints and importance. For example, is Not Shy, in the chorus, when they were doing the move that some people said JYPE copied How You Like That, they put a lot of power into moving their head and legs. (1.Legs 2.Head 3.Hand). Sorry, I don't mean to start fandom wars, I dont know how to describe the dance. Also, yes I learned to do the full choreography. If you just look at something and copy the movement without chopping it into parts, your performance won't be as clean, nor the memory of the choreography, even though it takes longer to learn.

Ryujin's dance:
Edgy, sharp, powerful and has swag. I love the way she dances. She knows when to put energy and when to be relaxed while dancing.
Yuna's:
Very clean, precise and not stiff. Her moves are powerful too. I also love how she managed to put much energy as she have longer limbs than the others. She made it look pretty and easy. Not being braggy about it, i'm quite tall and it's very hard for me to look great in some steps as my long limbs make it awkward. She did a great job.
Lia's:
She's not a bad dancer y'all! I do think she's better than me haha. Her moves are clean as well. One thing that I do not like about her dancing is that, she's not being consistent in this video her moves are not always clean or powerful. Although, I love how she dances. Very soft and gentle but at the same time it's powerful. I don't know how to explain it but she has her own dancing style and I'm seriously loving it.

In the weekly idol episode, when they did random dance, lia had so much confidence and when they danced the last chorus of wannabe she looked like she was really enjoying it😆, i think that she is still a bit shy 😥😁❤

And this is why Yuna is visual. Her facial expressions match her sharp movements perfectly. She’s so fun to watch
Edit: (Okay so apparently my definition is wrong and I was talking about the center position oop) so allow me to rephrase and say that Yuna is using her visuals to create good facial expressions as she dances.
That should be center, visuals are the ones who fit korean beauty standards the most. But i agree, she just draws you in!

Even gfriend’s Yuju says it takes her the longest to learn choreos. Lia is obviously a great dancer because ITZY choreos are unlike any other. You can’t put someone else in Lia’s spot and expect the same chemistry or synchronization as Lia has with the other members

Coming from a former dancer here are my thoughts on Lia’s dancing: first off she is definitely not a bad dancer!! she may not be super strong, but one thing she does VERY well is keep her timing !! She never stands out for being off time and she fits in very well with the group!! On a dance team you do not need to execute everything perfectly but you do need to be on time, which she always is !! She NEVER makes the group look bad, and she tries very hard ❤️

lia isn't lazy. her moves look careful and calculated. it's not that she can't dance or that she isn't a great performer, but it looks like she fears that if she makes a mistake, it'll give an excuse for people to say mean things about her again. she works just as hard as the others and i hope people can see that she's trying, instead of comparing her to the other members.

honestly if people don't want lia to be "lazy" they have to shut up. she's actually a good dancer, but lately she's been less confident in her dancing. compared to her members who have A Lot more experience in dancing than her, she seems like a bad dancer, but that's only because the other are just So Good at dancing. Julia Lee I agree. She only stands out because the others are really good. Unfortunately, the expectation for a group is for all the members to be on the same level in terms of dance. There is generally supposed to be balance. I hope she shows more in the future :)

Yuna is the best performer among them, she has such energy and a charismatic vibe. And Lia is NOT a bad dancer, her moves are pretty light which is charming and also suits this song!
I dont think light dancing really fits this kind of song. Lia definitely isn't a dancer, vocalist all the way, that's why she's struggling while thinking about the choreography, it doesn't come naturally for her,and some of her moves seem unnatural because if her lack of confidence but with time she'll get more used to it. It's the same thing in Jisoo's case.
Unfortunately it’s not just that the moves are light - some parts are just a little wrong. Like in the beginning there are parts where she doesn’t move her shoulders when they are supposed to move. Or when the right foot is supposed to go in and out but she just leaves it pointed straight (happens a handful of times). Don’t get me wrong though, I like her. But I hope she continues to improve and can get more accurate and deliberate with her moves!

Sassy King Lia looks awkward in some parts
Lia is the weakest dancer of the group and that’s fine. There’s always room for improvement. You can definitely see her errors though. Some of her moves need to be more exaggerated to parallel the group’s movements (you can see this in live performances). And there are several times in the video where she executed some moves half a beat earlier than Ryujin and Yuna. I’ve also noticed that she’s not very confident in her individual skills and memory of the choreography. I’ve caught her looking at her group members to see what’s the next move during performances. That said, I do believe she’ll get better in time

She looks like she’s having fun and actually enjoy the dance. Her moves are clean,smooth and they look effortless which makes it look better. Plus she so much younger then Ryujin and Lia and still can dance so amazing even if she is tall ( considering that am a tall dancer and it’s harder for us to look good) so Yuna just wins for me 🥰💖
It's easier to look good dancing when you are tall actually! Because when you're tall your movements look much more exaggerated and more animated. That's why they want tall people as characters at Disneyland, because it looks more animated when they move around. Shorter people have to exaggerate their movements to look similar.
Daphne I will give that to you but we have a lot more movement to do and if we don’t use our hight in the correct way we might look stiff or very awkward when dancing
@@Daphnoir Yes, you're right, but take into consideration that to look good, tall dancers need to really train their limbs movements. In fact, I'm short and for me it's easier to learn the moves properly, although I'm just self-taught.
PS Honestly I want to take take this moment to appreciate their dancing skills like... There are 3 main dancers, but it looks like all five deserve the spot 😂

jz being real here ͡° ͡° for wannabe comeback, the main vocal position went from lia to yeji. Not because yeji can hit high notes, but because of yeji's vocal consistency. Lia is barely a main vocal in itzy and has subpar consistency in any skillsets required for an idol.
lia is the main vocalist for a reason. coming from a singer & someone who has lots of practice in vocals, lia is amazing at what she does. she is an alto. her range isnt the best, but with practice it will grow. her abilities will continue to improve. she’s very talented. yeji has a good range and stability, but there is a reason why lia is main vocal. she will continue to shine. :)
@@welstnitmere3583 Yeji has a consistent style yes however not but lacks true color or uniqueness. Yeji is like Jungyeon of twice. Consistent but when branching off to different styles, lets just say there are way too many song styles that doesnt suit that cosistency they have.
Lia is a fantastic singer. There are way more videos of her singing other songs that proves why she was given the main singer role to begin with. The problem with her in itzy is the same problem with Jihyo and Nayeon. They are expected to sing songs that clearly does not suit them. Given notes where with the addition of dancing can just ruin everything as their stamina would not be able to keep up. All in all, Lia is a singer trained to be a dancer while she's at it (still training. like wise for the rest). Yeji was a dancer trained to sing (this is why she's sticked to a single consistent style in the end).

여은ッ 못 춘다고 명확하게 말하긴 힘든것 같은데요. 다른 멤버들은 춤컨셉에 맞게 힘이 들어가고 절도 있게 춘다면 리아님은 컨셉과 조금 다르게 부드럽게 (힘없이) 춰서 맴버들 사이에선 당연히 더 흐느적 거리게 나와서 그런 것 같아요. 리아님은 약간 에이핑크 분들 노래처럼 우아하고 부드러운? 노래에 맞는 성향이 있는 것 같아요. 못 춘다고 보기엔, 그저 춤 컨셉에 맞지 않게 춘다가 맞는것 같네요

I actually noticed that she lost a lot of weight drastically; maybe she’s on a really poor diet plan that’s causing her to lack energy : ( usually even if your diet plan isn’t poor (but lacks variety) repeatedly having the same meals actually drains you more rather that help.

I don't think that Lia is lazy or not trying. I just think that she physically cant do the moves the way the other girls can. Lia is NOT lazy. As a dancer and choreographer i know what “Lazy” dancing is. She needs more confidence. She is scared to fully deliver her dancing. And that’s because of all the bad comments about her, that kills confidence. Plus she is a singer, and the other members are dancers, its hard to fully reach their level just like its hard for them to reach notes she can do. She looks more fluid to me and in most groups now it's more about being super sharp and crisp with the moves. That just comes from practice and confidence, and a lot of it is confidence. Some of my favorite dancers were more fluid in the past and are now much more sharp. We just seem to expect insane perfection and harp and 'destroy' people for not being literal gods and goddesses all the time, super sad. I think she did a great job.
