    This is by far the best lim fusion tutorial I’ve seen so far! most tutorials out there make video editing on limit fusion look as if it’s more for the personal hobbyist as well. Yours looks more worldwide, professional, and commercial usage. I would love to see you do a short film.

      Awesome, thanks for the follow up Josh! Watched the video. Great info. I have a 2017 IPad Pro. It’s only 64gb. Being that it’s a bit older, I was curious about the processing power and if what my iPad has, is enough. However, if you’re editing straight from an SSD, does the processing power even matter? In theory, I would think since it’s coming directly from the SSD, the IPad (cpu) isn’t getting bogged down with the 4K footage. Would that be accurate to say, or is that wrong? This stuff can be confusing 😐. Here’s the specs of my IPad: A10X Fusion chip with 64‑bit architecture
      Embedded M10 coprocessor.

      @@clifhellner1493Related to processing power, you should be more than good. I tested a few clips on my friends 2017 iPad Pro. Sadly, the 2017 iPad Pro has a lightning port instead of USB-C. I’m pretty sure LumaFusion doesn’t allow editing off of external drives over the lightning port, because it is too slow. You can transfer files off of a drive onto the ipad using an adapter, its really slow though, airdrop is faster; but, that will be using the 64 gb of storage on the ipad.

      I really like the OriGrid case for the Magic Keyboard. I can then have the SSD mounted on the back and not worry about a drive hanging down from the port. I demoed it in a previous video, let me know if you have any questions: ruclips.net/video/HDsV1CUtraU/видео.html

    It’s good for on the fly proxy editing on set so you can get results for editors & clients who have that annoying behaviour of ‘CAN I SEE IT’ … But lets be realistic .. DV Resolve 18.5 on an IPad Pro 12.9 M2… now that’s professional.

      I’m definitely going to dive into DaVinci Resolve soon. I know the most in Premiere Pro and LumaFusion. AND in a couple of weeks Final Cut Pro comes out on the iPad Pro too. It’s nice to finally see the developer support for the iPad Pro now.

    Could you please tell me which one did you get out of these storage and ram versions, to edit your video so smoothly please (on the M1 Ipad pro 12.9) ?
    Apple iPad Pro 12.9 (2021)
    Internal 128GB 8GB RAM, 256GB 8GB RAM, 512GB 8GB RAM, 1TB 16GB RAM, 2TB 16GB RAM

    • @JoshuaTimothy
      @JoshuaTimothy  3 года назад +6

      I am actually using an iPad Air 4, so getting the Pro is going to be even better. Personally if you have the budget I would get the 512gb 8gb RAM version, just don’t get the 128gb. My iPad Air has 256gb of storage and 4 GB of Ram, if I’m working on a couple of video projects at the same time I get close to running out of storage.

    I do understand the capability of ipad, but just to have comfort of your couch, you took too much of time and hassle masking that portion, which can be achieved in AE or Premiere much easier way.

    • @JoshuaTimothy
      @JoshuaTimothy  2 года назад +3

      You are correct, I chose a pretty difficult mask, which would have been easier on the PC, but it definitely shows how capable the iPad is becoming. It all comes down to personal preference, after editing for work all day on a PC, I definitely prefer the simplicity of editing on my couch with my iPad at night, the majority of videos for most people don’t require much more than what LumaFusion can already do. Thanks for watching.

      I’m actually using the iPad Air 4, and I started editing with LumaFusion on the iPhone 12 Pro. That A14 chip is fast, comparable to the previous generation iPad Pro. It would be really cool to edit on the M1 iPad Pro, but definitely not necessary if it’s out of your budget.

IHO I prefer Artlist, my subscription and license covers my work as well as any client work without the client having to buy a sound track license and if you end your subscription, you don't get any copyright strikes with Artlist but this is not the case with Epidemic Sound.
