Let me know what you guys think of this set up here? Would you ever consider using a BIG planner for budgeting or regular planning? This neutral set up.....I'm here for it!

I just started binge watching your budget videos. I have been using the perpetual calendar pages (also called year at a glance) to track my daily spending totals. It’s a quick reference and makes it easy to add totals for the month for tracking.

Thanks for watching!! 🥰 I may make me one to track yearly expenses. Sounds like a wonderful idea for monthly tracking!!!!

I really like the idea of using a big planner for budgeting. I use the classic Happy planner and it is hard to add several entries in small boxes.

It’s definitely a lot easier to add everything that you need to write and tracking stickers!

I absolutely LOVE this DIY planner. Sometimes you have to mix in different elements to make it work just to your liking and you did an awesome job! Love it :-)

The perpetual calendar can be used for annual bills, birthdays/anniversaries, upcoming events...

I use my perpetual calendar to track my income. I want to be able to add it all up for a year end review.

That sounds very effective and useful to use it that way!

I actually used the big tul notebook sometime ago. I had a gray leather cover. I bought the hole punch and made my own printables. It was amazing and I had alot of room to work. Issue was it became to cumbersome to carry. I went down to the junior tul notebook and used that size for a year. Went from using a tul notebook to a travelers notebook. Used that for about 2 months. Switch back to using my Erin Condren. Haven't went back to a disc planner. If I get tired of my Erin Condren I will be in a regular notebook. But surprisingly Erin Condren released her new monthly planner and its basically a notebook with a monthly calendar. Basically all I need. I do use a tul notebook still to do my rough draft. The notebook is like a budget workbook which helps me plan out my budget every month.

Yes the new EC planner they have added more lined pages to them. If I decide to try this one I would most likely leave it at home. I do keep a small section in my on the go planner with finance stuff.

Yaaaas! Love it! If I hadn't already invested in so many classic-sized accessories, I would definitely go big. I've never thought about using the perpetual calendar but I can see it being useful for those irregular expenses that are annual, bi-annual, quarterly, etc.

This was some things I had here! I forgot I had gotten the biz babe right before 2020 and was looking thru my stash! That’s a good idea on the perpetual calendar.

I’ve always been a HP Classic girl however I also follow TBM and find the HP Big to be much easier for budgeting. I made my own budget worksheets as the TBM template didn’t work for our needs - but I follow Miko and her process. The TUL is very classy looking. I didn’t know the HP punch/holes would align with it and I didn’t want to invest in the TUL punch. So this was great to know! This is one of my favorite videos you’ve done. Thanks for sharing!

I like the customization aspect of building sheets, sections, areas that reflect your individual needs. I like the idea of disks and moving sections/pages, but I've been a notebook person.... for a long time. I may have to make a trip to the dollar store!
I would be a BIG planner person. Notebook size! 😁

Yes that what draws me to the discbound system. I’m not going to lie tho rings and coils are satisfying 😁 and a good notebook can make a good budget planner also!

I would use the perpetual calendar and add my yearly bills on it, like car tags, land taxes, house insurance things like that that you can say for but you only need them once a year

    • @APinkeClothlife

I use a Big Happy Planner. I take out the weekly inserts and add the Budget by Paycheck sheets I use. I started my budgeting journey in mid January 2020 and I used an old binder with sheet protectors. Around March I found a Big HP for $9 and purchased the BBP Digital Workbook when it was on sale for $20. I found a Happy Planner Deluxe Cover on Zulily for $9 and jumped at the opportunity. I am so happy with the look and I'm even happier that it was all on sale!

Brenda Figueroa that is awesome!!! I’m seeing that there is so much space to write everything down! You got a steal of a deal there I have never checked sulkily 😳 I’m going to have to have a looksie 👀😁

@@APinkeClothlife I leave it at home. I use a HP Mini for my on the go budgeting. It has the cash envelopes I need and I quickly write down transactions in it as they happen. At home I keep my expense tracker updated as transactions clear my bank account. My mini also has a deluxe HP cover.

  • @watchthevideos56

When you print out the sheets instead of changing it to 94%, try and move the left margin so there’s more space and change the right margin to less and it will move the whole print over, to leave room on the left side. Thank you for sharing. I like your set up but I think the book is to big for me. I do like your ideas.

    • @APinkeClothlife
      @APinkeClothlife  4 года назад

Thank you for the info and O’Neill’s Edie fly try adjusting my margins!🙂 and the big book can get heavy it seems if you were to add more too it but the space is nice tho!
