During 28 years of Service in the ARMY I missed 19 Christmas’s at Home. But I was still with Family.
@No Prob-llama no it's not they're doing their jobs and keeping us safe if that's sad you're dumb
Davon it’s still sad though because they have to spend time away from their families
Thank you for your service
Keeping us safe from who? All the people the US has pissed off and invaded?
K
The lady saying "aw come on no mac and cheese no stuffing?" Is my idol she reminds me of the wholesome lunch ladies from 4th grade
“Eat up, suga.”
I love how the servers have guns. Ain't nobody taking more food than rationed.
Facts
lmao
You can't go in the chow hall without a rifle, and this helps serve a secondary purpose of identifying soldiers who may have lost their rifle at some point. I actually knew a soldier who had lost his and he didn't eat for 5 days because he knew he would be in serious trouble when people found out. Apparently he had left it in a port-a-potty and another unit found it, and eventually through the serial number it came back to him, and he got in trouble, but at least he could finally eat once more.
@@BoomerElite4u How in the living fuck could any idiot forget an assault rifle that they always carry around? I own one pistol and have carried it everywhere for 5 years
@@ripvanwinkler1548 i mean when you have thousands of people in a high stress enviroment there is bound to be at least a single instance of someone fucking up.
It's crazy how this is gonna become historical footage in a few more years
Juan Manuel Tamayo Perez technically everything will. Although most of these guys are probably still enlisted
Yo hello newer generations of the 22nd century, my name is Hector and I've probably been dead for a long time, great day fellers
the renx at the rate were going now, I barely think there's going to be a RUclips 50 years into the future
@@sovietchadster907 keep hopes up, I don't think something this big is going to be replaced or vanished
the renx hmm, can't really comprehend RUclips or any similar platforms lasting for another 1000 years. Our civilization will probably be forgotten and studied, the same as we study history. No matter how peaceful our world seems or how stable it is, borders and climates will change, nations will disappear and some people will be wiped out. It's an existential crisis as we are just individuals out of 7.7 billion people on the planet, just to be forgotten in a 1000 years. Unfortunately it's a fact of life, no matter how good our scripts and knowledge our, that will most likely be lost into the future and there will be unknown factors about us, the same as the generations before us
RUclips recommendation algorithm has a sick sense of humor.
didn't eat like that back in 70-72 glad to see they taking care of the troops, you guys deserve all the good that comes your way, thank you for your service
That is one, if not the biggest, moral booster for me. Seeing the CO, SGTMAJ and other higher ups doing things for the lower enlisted. Props to those higher ups for boosting moral. You all are doing more than you know.
That's how it should be. Whenever I was in the field, the First Sergeant would make it a point for all the higher ranking NCO's to serve their soldiers before serving themselves. It's a good custom.
Imagine a Colonel serving you food. That’s awesome
It’s normal on the holidays.
Almost like KFC
@@nameless.greyceo That's witty!
Well, even in the trenches of WWI foes could at least play a game of football at Christmas. Barriers come down at Christmas, sadly they must go back up afterwards.
@@Irishandtired ah yes the 1914 Christmas truce but sadly that only happens on one sector (I can't remember which one was it)
This is the most wholesome video I’ve ever seen. Thank you to all the men and women that serve the country, we honor your service
@Misanthropic Trilobite do you hate entire races of folks too when there are a few bad apples? You'll never accomplish anything in life past being alone and spewing out your disdain for yourself via ranting in the youtube comments. You are a pathetic human being.

Yea they made such a difference. Their “service” definitely made our lives better and in no way contributed to massive inflation and increasing the size of the military industrial complex

I was in Afghanistan for Christmas in 2002. Things have changed. I spent Christmas in a tent in Asadabad. Had a cold turkey disk and some cold mashed potatoes for dinner I believe. Good times.
Well...Merry uh...Christmas
This is so cute. I love wholesome military videos like this because they get to relax a little and show their more human side instead of being all so serious.
Merry Christmas to all the soldiers . I will pray for you and a safe return back to the states. God bless you , and thank you for protecting all the innocent people.

Also Americans protect fellow Americans. That's their job. THey dont have to give a fuck about you guys. Thats the job of your country's soldiers. If they cant do their job then blame your government and country for being weak.
@Jay Caldwell no one is talking to you lol
I love how the command staff, and NCO's are serving food. What a humbling approach!
In twenty years in the NAVY I only missed one Christmas at home but like you mangos I spent that Christmas with my other family.

Piss off, dipshit.
whats this joke about crayons? where did it start?

Talking about making the best of your situation & being in a good xmas spirits without all the gifts .... Makes me even more GRATEFUL....
Christmas time in Afghan now - the Taliban are loving all the presents that Santa USA left under the tree for them..

spent two years overseas during the holidays the food at the chow hall was amazing. I will never forget the experience.
I recently started learning the history of the United States Marine Corps.
This is because when I was 20 I was working on a CH46E helicopter at a Japanese company called NIPPI.
I have met a lot of U.S. Marine pilots and soldiers
Everyone was excellent and kind.
In Japan, only the current U.S. Marines are reported, not until they learned that they were actually established hundreds of years ago.
I will continue to learn. Thank you very much.
It’s like Christmas at my house, everyone is packing heat!
I hope they have food like this throughout most of the year
They look and seem so happy
Thank you all for serving
I pray you all have what you need while serving away from your families
Bless you and your family
I love how they’re wearing random hats
They are all smiling and it brings so much joy
Someday, that was going to end...
*smile turns into a sad, longing frown*

Getting a bird to scoop your potatoes is a good morale boost, and a carving station sure beats an MRE. A huge thanks to all our troops, past and present.
wow this is awesome. Col. giving food to soldiers now that is a "Christmas" also thanks to everyone who made this kinda stuff possible
This is why I admire soldiers so much, even though they are at a very dangerous place and in a very dangerous situation, they still take care of each other like a family
Thank you to the US taxpayers too, as a veteran, we were always well fed and taken care of.
There is good and bad everywhere, but in the service, you see a lot of polite people. I wish the VA hospital hired only Vets, they know how to treat one another.
Hi hello
Honestly I am surprised how nice it looks there. Considering they were in a warzone that place looks more festive than 50% of households in the USA at Christmas time.
It costs a billion dollars, i've heard.

I think it is because the Afghans are angry that the fact the US soldiers are getting nice food while they are under US occupation and live in a harsh life.
Better next time add disclaimers......
Let's you know how serious their situation was as they are all packing serious heat. The meal looks good for sure. I've been out for 50 years and still remember the extra effort the mess staff put into Thanksgiving and Christmas. Love that the brass are serving the soldiers.
