Love it boys just recently came across this build on you tube and I've now gone back and watched it all from the start and a few other older videos can't wait to see what you do with it im really hopping for a new gelcoat and to see it brought back to life in a timeless fashion hahaha but we will see great job awesome idea and appreciate the content ya legends
25 knots from twin engines is somewhat disappointing. What was higher, the oil or fuel consumption at full noise? I expected to hear a pretty big bang from the dodgy motor when you did that top speed run. Having said that, these projects do show how long lasting these old glass boats are. Great video. Keep them coming.
This will be interesting as I’ve got experience in what you are about to do, I’ve got 32ft wide body with twin 350 merc carbs and just replaced on engine also got 22ft Haines and build pod on back and fitted two 350 veradas. Everything can be done with money but the biggest thing is cost. I hope you guys are up front with the conversation costs. This is the critical factor. It’s not about fuel cost. It’s about how much fuel can you buy and cost of rebuild for the conversion.
Good show and nice videos, keep em comming. However, Yamaha need to ditch that tool for tv purposes, far too cocky and really puts a damper on the show hearing his negativity towards the old sterndrives. What ever happened to Yamaha's sterndrives failures, or where's the 40yo Yamaha outboard to compare somewhat closely....
Would love to see this w and Armstrong bracket and twin 250’s. So much more cockpit space, better ride and more speed.
Yes indeed, enjoying this one. More episodes please. 👍👍👍🇦🇺
Love these Bertie Rebuilds you do
I’m really enjoying the series, guys 😎🤙 You’ve got a balance between getting stuff done and WILL it get done 😂
Glad to see you back really enjoy your stuff
Love this series even though I seen the original. Great stuff.

Bimini top down and the legs trimmed up a bit you will get near 70kph - I know because I owned one. Looking forward to the final reveal 👍
Bimini tops add a lot of wind resistance!
I would bet that those 165s have faired better than an outboard of the same era. Why doesn’t Yamaha do a modern stern drive replacement?
That’s right..40yr old outboard..ha

There doing a great job for age and state of tune

Well said that’s, my thoughts too
Those outdrives OMG 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nick Duigan and Ted Danson? What do u rekon Andrew?
I know she runs better with inboards
What horse power are each engine??
Umm, I'm pretty sure they said 165 a few times....
Congrats on your election win Nick. I just hope it won’t prevent you putting out more RUclips videos. Democracy is important, sure ... but...
Good engines if you replace with outboards the cost of replacement is 10 times more expensive and no life boat in back sharks will have your ass
