MISSING AUDIO. I don't know why this keeps happening, but I couldn't fix it, here's what's missing: 02:31 - "Jay and Mary, the owners have hosted me tonight, which is brilliant, so thanks very much! They would love to see this place used by runners who are coming to the area. So yeah a little bit of luxury before tomorrow." 13:00 - "Bumped into Paul here, Paul is from Ballymoney, I was born in Ballymoney so we are practically related. Paul: The accent is different!" 20:29 - "Made it to the summit of Donard in 6hrs, if I really push it, I might make it down for around 6:30!"
Same happened to me recently! I use Premiere Pro, and every time I re-exported a video, the audio of random parts (and sometimes different parts) of the vid would suddenly disappear. Only way I fixed it, was by re-exporting the video until it worked.
@Border Rambler Nearly certain it’s not the camera. The audio is there in the video files. Pretty sure there’s something wrong on my editing machine. Been getting error messages about audio drivers.
@TD Miller yeah sounds like same issue. I spent 6hours one day just re-rendering a video trying to fix. Just gave up today, I had to get it uploaded and didn’t have the time to render multiple times. Thankfully wasn’t anything really important missing!
@@StephenJReid shame! I recently needed to reupload vids several times and then realised too late Audio parts were missing 😑 I'm sure it's an Adobe bug
Awesome effort Stephen. Extremely difficult never mind creating art as you suffer along the trails. I participated in the Spelga Skyline in July 2021, temperature was 31 degrees 😰 volunteers with ice pops will never be forgotten!
Stephen your positivity is infectious! I wish i were more like you, someone who is willing to take chances and go out and just do what he truly loves. Thanks man!
Incredible race and fantastic footage and video all round Stephen, I wouldn't be much of a RUclips commenter but have just come across your channel and felt compelled to after watching this, most importantly congrats to you on completing a truly epic race. Having simply walked up Donard before i know even by itself it's tough enough going let alone the rest of what you've gone through here! I have my first proper trail race event coming up in May at the Waterville trail running festival in Kerry, and this video really makes me excited for it. It must be great for the other competitors to have your wonderful footage of the event as well to look back on and to show others exactly what you all went through!! Well done again and keep up the great work here and on the trails!
Wow just wow! To anyone watching this please take a half hour to sit back on the couch and watch this on the TV....the laptop does not do this justice...what a run, great story, UNREAL footage....well done Stephen best viewing in a long time, has wetted the appetite to get back on the running shoes again - Congratulations on all counts super inspiring :)
brilliant Stephen well done that is a tough race, you did amazing the taper worked well and while filming I recognise a few faces at the finish line as well the accommodation looked amazing
Well done Stephen what an achievement, and to record it all on the go. You timed each mountain footage brilliantly. Looked tough but enjoyable if that makes sense. One of ur best videos to date mate.
This is the best video I’ve seen for a long time, I was really captivated and coupled with the drone footage it was amazing. Thank you so much for taking the time to create and share this. I mainly watch your videos on my tv so am unable to like or comment. I have learnt so much from your videos, it is greatly appreciated 😊
Brilliant Stephen! Not only for completing the race but for the fun and entertaining video you created 👏 To have completed those climbs of Meelmore, Bearnagh, Commedagh and Donard not once but twice 🤭 I’m in awe of all participants!! I’d say that pizza and wings went down well! Congrats - a well deserved rest hopefully taken afterwards 🤞

Well done Stephen, great achievement. As I lay on my couch nursing my broken leg which was ok, very little pain until I watched your run. My leg is now aching. 😂👍✌️

Why do you choose such childish thumbnails for your vids? I mean, you've got to be close to 40, yet your thumbnails are more akin to those found on a teenagers channel. Pre-teens, even. Infantilisation strikes again, sigh...
Honest comment! 😂 That’s fine, I appreciate that every time I post a thumbnail like this that a number of people will make assumptions. I make my own assumptions about people. Simple answer though, multiple reasons: statistically speaking Thumbnails with exaggerated expressions get more clicks. Also my regular viewers like to know there’s a bit of pain and suffering coming up. Also quite a few kids watch and I’ve had parents message me to say their kids are in stitches at the expressions. Also want to communicate that this is an outdoorsy channel, but it doesn’t take itself too seriously. Also I like making funny faces. I do find it amusing though how much it seems to upset some people. It’s literally just a random video on the internet.

Hoka speed goat? What did you make of them?
Thanks! Really love the speedgoats, don't have the most aggressive grip so maybe not ideal for really muddy winter conditions.
Excellent video. Did you shoot 4k 60fps for the entire run? How often did you change batteries?

Salt tablets or Dioralitte , sorts the cramps out. How did the speedgoats go ,ie ankle subtlety.
Used a lot of electrolytes, so don’t think it was that. My physio said it’s also an indication of a muscle just being completely fatigued
