Here in the UK, this makes so much sense as opposed to real teak. First of all, there is a lot of illegal teak in the European market and being sold at silly money. Second, real teak weathers very quickly and looks terrible. My berth neighbours each side have expensive boats with teak decks. My 2006 Cruisers Yachts 280 with standard decks looks so much better, although much harder to keep the non-slip clean! We are fitting NuTeak to the extended swim platform in the new year. I know which boat will look the best after just 6 months...
hate to say it but... for all that mucking around you could have made that out of REAL timber..... No wonder everyone is going for the 2.4m X 1.2M sheets...
Better off making a cardboard or foam template and sending it in to various companies that cut them out for you, or advise them of what boat you have they have hundreds of templates in their data base to cut them out for you. Then just peel and stick.
This convinced me...i ll try to fix my teak!!! Wwwwway tooo much work.
