That's it... A RUclips video finally made me cry, this is the song in like many infantrymen like myself, graduate basic at Fort Benning GA's Infantry Museum... God.... All this year passed, all this deployment... The many that aren't here with us no more... We are the 0.45% my brothers... The 0.45%... stand tall brother, pain it's just weakness leaving our bodies.
My wife walked down the isle to this song. I absolutely love this song. It's so beautiful. I'm glad to hear/see so many artists doing this song more. Thank you!
She chose a song about a storm for her walk down the aisle? Talk about tempting fate! 😂 Just teasing, it was actually a beautiful song and a wonderful choice.
I really like how you gave this a slightly lilting feel and didn’t slow it down to drag out a lot of moribund emotions that most people do. You’re an original for sure.
Jamie you were kissed by the Angels. I cannot believe the sounds you produce. I watch your hands, thinking, HOW many HOURS did it take to get where you are. But even with practice, there is something called a “Gift” and “Talent” and you have it!!
That was wonderful! That this movie did not win the Oscar for best soundtrack was a travesty. Well, among so many that the Academy keeps making every year.
The second set of strings (upper) really add a drive to the whole piece. It is almost like a musical drone, pulling you through and forward in the melody. Really good sound and well played.
My late friend and luthier, Bill Covert (RIP), named his shop "Lyrical Lumber" as an homage to the beautiful music that shaped wood and strings give us. He would certainly have approved of this.
Very well done. Joshua Tree Nat'l Forest was certainly an interesting choice for a movie set in upstate NY. Then again, it was filmed in the Blue Ridge of N.C. I love Joshua Tree, fantastic park. And an amazing job with this piece. I always loved the music for that movie.
Simply breathtaking. You've inspired me to keep on working on youtube Jamie. You put so much emotion into your songs, I try to replicate that but I'm not sure I can haha. If any of y'all who are fans of him want to let me know how I'm doing I would be so grateful. Im still a small youtube but I feel that with time I can become as talented as this genius. Thanks a million guys! Great work Jamie!
Simply.Amazing! Not only because it's from 1 of 2 movies I list as my favs, but because the music has a heart and soul of its own..so hard to capture, even for a Orchestra of many musicians. Not sure if people realize how complex this is to even attempt to play..but none of that matters, as it is the soul of the music that is most important, and you capture it wonderfully in this piece. Loved the scenery too..but it just all fits.
Beautiful song, inspiring landscape and outstanding harp guitar playing. A winning hand no matter which way you play it. And we know it is going to be memorable, because you are the one playing it, Jamie.
Last Of The Mohicans.. Amazing film and the sound track is beautiful.. This song in paticular.. It has so much soul & feel to it.. Major kudos for your Rendition and excellent playing aswell 👏 👍
I watched several of your compilation videos, and I KNEW that "The Gael" from Last of the Mohicans would be the perfect song for this instrument, and went searching to see if you had recorded it. I'm so glad you did. Can't wait to show my dad this video, he loves that soundtrack and is an ok guitar player, his son is better. Beautiful playing sir, and thank you for sharing this instrument with us. I never seen one before. I might ad that "Moonlight Mile" by the Rolling Stones would sound amazing on a harp guitar.

I get brother... Because of a integrated soul that listened💚
I guess the Guitar isn’t hard enough he had to add a whole other instrument. This boy can flat out play. Stunning.
My wife walked down the isle to this song. I absolutely love this song. It's so beautiful. I'm glad to hear/see so many artists doing this song more. Thank you!
As will mine 👍

You're strong. You survive. You stay alive no matter what occurs. I will find you…no matter how long it takes, no matter how far. I will find you.

A beautiful arrangement of The Gael ( Scottish melody played on bagpipes originally ) and much later used for the movie.

That this movie did not win the Oscar for best soundtrack was a travesty. Well, among so many that the Academy keeps making every year.
