Gustave Baine was born in Cherbourg in 1876 and came from a family of scientists. He, himself, spent a career as a chemist at the Museum of Natural History in Paris He was also a great enthusiastic amateur photographer using the the technique of photochromes. His main subjects were his family, and pictures taken along the Brittany Coast.
These marvelous photographs are still as fresh today as they were, when taken over 100 years ago.......
