They've got some good looking tools on their website. I added the 36 inch Ranger axe to my Christmas list for the wife. Thanks for sharing. Now all I have to do is be good lol. God bless and stay safe.
Man I love hammer poll hatchets and that’s a beauty! A2, O1, D2, S7 tool steels I understand, even 1095. I make cutting/shearing/punching tools out of them quite regularly. 4140 however, that’s more structural for bending or coining and less cutting/shearing in nature from my experience in uses. I’m very, VERY interested in how the edge performs. 🤔🤞🏼
My OCD would not allow those leather lanyard ends to be whipping around like that. They would get cut off or some fancy knots would shorten them. Nice looking tool though. Nice tweener size sitting between a full axe and a little hatchet.
I recently bought the blackout combo. Ranger axe, Survivalist hatchet and tire thumper. Didn’t want the tire thumper but it was cheaper to buy the 3 piece combo than the 2 axes without it. Should be here in a few days.
I have the Prometheus Design Werx Collaboration survival hatchet. I love it. Perfect size, very sharp, good hammer and nail/stake puller. I got the maintenance kit and leather collar too. All very good quality.
Good looking hatchet, i have the black out version. I felt the handle was slick, i ended up wrapping it. Im going to need to get the neck wrap to make it complete
No offense intended... I notice most reviewers I see beat on springy material to show how cool the product is. To safely chop (personal bodily safety and the tool's posterity) it's necessary to have stable material to chop on. Having it bounce around is begging for a rolled edge, twisted blade, or a glanced blade served with a wound to die for. I'm not a stickler for Osha, (though once I played one on TV), but I have realized that every breath we take teaches a child who might be watching.
I own a Super Naturalist and it is a great axe. That hammer head back really comes in handy.

Wow! This is a thing of functional beauty! Love it!
Hammering with the sheath on is safer but it’s cutting into the welt with every impact eventually may damage the sheath
Impressive strength using a Hatchet in Left Hand with strong force in one hand chopping
Great hatchet. I’m going to buy one… like the hammer head… looks precise… thanks for the video

Used one on a camping trip years ago and it’s a fantastic tool.
Be safe and have fun out there!

Great shirt too!
Going to pick one up. Great review.
I've owned one for several years, they are great tools, but when I bought it they didn't have all of the finish options as they do now
Same here.
Wish they had the Black & Red back then.
Good looking hatchet and review , thanks for sharing , God bless !
I have the survivalist and I love it. It's a great tool and defensive weapon if needed. Well worth the price. Yo get what you pay for!
Is that a synthetic handle? How long is the handle? Are there replacement handles for it? Looks like a solid hatchet though.
Hickory handle. 17.5”
Looks great! Putting on my "dude I want that" list!
OK, I’m sold.
If the head was designed for it that would be a good drywall hatchet
Love the blackout version
appears to be an excellant hatchet
They should warranty the handle for longer than 30 dayd
will it make a good thrower
A few years ago I bought a Vaughn riggers hatchet. It is similar to to the hardcore. ai did have to sharpen it but cost was in the $45.00 range.
thanks just what I needed for my overlanding tool kit
Hell yeah. The blackout edition would be sick for that.
I'm new to bushcrafting... What's the leather collar guard for? Is it to protect that end of the hammer from poor shots like me? lol
Yes, for overstrikes and to protect the handle when splitting.
