Solo riding TET Romania | Leaving home (E1 2024)

- This series of episodes is about my experience while motorcycle riding the Trans Euro Trails (TET) in Romania, solo, with a minimalist luggage setup.
I previously did the Southern Carpathian mountains segment and I am now attempting to do the Eastern and Northern segments.
In this episode, we're leaving Bucharest, hitting the trails and having a bit of fun. There's some whining about the mud (my rear tire is a 16K km old Mitas E07+) and some choices about forbidden access roads. By then end we will have reached Covasna. This video spans 2 days, one of riding and one of exploring Covasna.
I'm doing it all on a light dual-sport (my 2018 Honda CRF 250L) and I have a decent amount of riding experience, but there won't be any hardcore enduro moments here. This is something many people can attempt if they are so inclined, with the proper precautions and the proper setup.

@@kitty.mototor este purul adevar. M-am saturat de cocalarisme si pitiponceli de la toti influencarii care si-au luat motocicleta pentru ca e cool. Aia sunt posesori de motociclete si nu motociclisti. Ii stii care sunt…aia de o ard intre Constitutiei si Victoriei tot anul.
Daca treci pe langa Cluj, da un mesaj si hai la o poveste!

Ai zis cumva 16K km old Mitas E07+? Sau de fapt e 1.6K? Eu am tras de unul vreo 11k, dar era slick pe cand l-am dat jos. Dar mai ingrijorat as fi de anvelopa fata. Cele mai naspa trante le-am luat cand am pierdut fata, fie pe noroi, iarba, etc.
In alta ordine de idei, fain c-ai curaj sa faci TET-ul de unul singur, dar ai vre-un InReach cu tine sau ceva in caz de probleme? Sau care-i planul?
Salut! Cel de pe spate are acum 17.000. Mai are viață în el cel putin 3 - 4.000 km, după calculele mele. Apoi nu știu cu ce o să-l înlocuiesc. Pe față am un Dunlop Trailmax cu acxeeași vârstă. Mai merge și el. Dar da, periculos alunecatul pe față.
Nu am un sistem de backup pentru mers solo, doar încerc să nu mă pun singur în situații prea riscante. Dacă aș avea cu cine, aș prefera să merg cu oameni, dar nu prea găsesc doritori, mai ales în timpul săptămânii sau în afara perioadelor de concediu. Dar mai caut :)

That's a good question. Personally, maybe I don't *need* it, but I am used to it and feel uncomfortable without it.
