Is there a way to hook up an LED light to the buzzer as well so that it will light up when the buzzer is pushed and not only trigger the computer as the way you have it set up in this video, but also to trigger the LED light to light up as well at the same time?
yes, each Makeymakey can input Up,down, left, right arrows, spacebar, mouse click, then flip it over and you can use , w,a,s,d,f,g AND mouse movements and clicks. All at the same time. Your computer will see it as a keyboard. So just like a keyboard has lots of buttons on it so can the MakeyMakey.
+Tony Vasinda the "black base" is a 3 inch PVC donut we got at the hardware store. You can also use a PVC Flange. Either one will cost around $3. they come in different diameters, just get one that fits your button. PRO TIP :Buy the button then take it to the hardware store with you to make sure they fit.
Thanks for letting me know! I'm trying to construct durable bases for the buttons - ones that can take some damage (think the classic Feud buzzer blocks), and was wondering about that.
I finally got to button and Makey Makey. I just have no idea on what to attach the button to. I'm creating a game show so I need the buttons to be on something. any ideas?
They Call Him XD For the base, we use a rubber plumbing donut from the hardware store. Take your button to the hardware store with you to make sure you get the right size. It should be 3-4"

Does the program use a cut off system so only the first contestant registers the button push?
Yes. its a true lock out buzzer.
