@@aikarukki7635 Peacocks are male. Peahens are female. Peacocks have the colourful tail displays.
@@aikarukki7635 It's a he. You probably should've doubled checked your input beforehand. 🤦♀️ Only the males are colorful, while the females are more dull colored. Males are called Peacocks, females are called Peahens. Males need those beautiful tail feathers for breeding and courtship. I'd delete your comment if I were you.

The single tail feather on that peacock kinda brings out some sort of non-avian dinosaur vibe OvO
yeah, something like a rhamphorhynchoid. those pterosaurs have stiff tails and paddle like shape on the end.

First time I saw this film, at 2:14, when he shakes his tail, I got a sort of monkey vibe off of that.

I love this short film it gives off a lot of character emotion and movement and it shows how a bird was missing feathers after an attack then was fold with sadness until he saw a beautiful lady and even though the other males had amazing tail feathers he was confident enough to dance for her even if it meant having no attraction but she liked it and then boom there together…..I like this mostly because it shows to always have confidence in your self no matter the cost
He lost the rest of the tail feathers from a gharial attack

But his feathers will regrow and gonna look beatiful again, i have to say that his single feather makes him look a little dinosaur, like a dromaeosaurid.

I remember reading a book about this peacock with tail feathers resembling a monster, and he was made fun of for it, but then he scared away this tiger, and then he was all cool n stuff

Really a nice story and a nice smooth animation. I wish i could know more about the song danced by the one - feather peacock in the final, but I think it's a song created just for this animation.
Side note: If you think ur ugly your are not you are perfect some think you are pretty or handsome too Thats how God made you!❤❤❤❤

While the message of this short is nice (on the surface level, if you go deep it starts to have it's issues), it's nice to know impressive tail isn't there just there because females like the aesthetic. Such big and colorful tail is not only a great signature of good health and self care but is also a proof the male is capable enough to survive in the wild with a huge disadvantage. Such male will produce good offspring. A male without a tale proves nothing.
He had a tale, then lost it, he went through a sort of trauma, he was able to come back from that.

The peacock being my favorite animal, I BOLTED to watch this as soon as possible
you only need a fraction of what is an extension of your body to be beautiful. like if rather than most of a tail it was a human missing all but one finger on each hand they are gorgeous

This shows that no matter how you look, you will always find someone who cares and who your true love is. Just because the peacock only had 1 tail feather doesn't mean that he deserves to be laughed at. (Now maybe the white peacocks, they lack color so there is a high chance they will never have a chick.)

Male peacocks with larger feathers are more attractive mates, because of how terrible and inefficient they are. They block the males’ view of predators, make it impossible for them to fly, and very it’s cumbersome to walk. If a male has this giant handicap, but is still alive, that means that they are strong, fast, and smart, qualities females are looking for, so their chicks survive.

The other peacocks relied on their size alone while the single feathered one had charm and technique.

good for survival i guess, their feathers are very flashy and beutiful but the downside is that they attract attention from predators making them easier to spot.
Just a couple more frames in between is all you need. Otherwise, your animation is brilliant!!
