Tae-ran, rightfully so, won a best actress award for her portrayal here. Both actresses have won many awards over the years.
Of all the characters Hobak stands out most. Not only she took complete responsibility for her family but also was there to give support and encouragement to her parents and siblings whenever they were in trouble.
Asuman Yildirim Gwanbak is very insecure and immature because she never was taught self esteem, her adviser on life being an adult was a middle school child ..Look how she left her purse 👛 at the store after getting drunk.. Hobak was denied so many opportunities. That’s why her determination was positive and self sufficient. Because she’s a realist. Especially after the maltreatment of her parents.. Made her a stronger person.

Accordign the mom, Hobak is responsible for Subak's shortcomings and failures and the affairs. I actually feel the universe was right in making the mom break the hairline.
There are two reasons for hobak being miserable - 1) her mom playing favorite among her own children, and everytime hobak will be the one to get the least. 2) hobak herself is the reason. The thing is because of her mom playing favourites, she was never acknowledged, and the more she faced harsh treatment the more she craved acknowledgement from her mother, thus starting this never ending cycle. 😢
Hobak doesn't listen, the mom always blames her for everything, why does she still bother about her? Every time, once she open door the mother will stone her, always throwing things at her
I'm not sure if Hobak is simply too nice or just plain stupid- there's no way I would ever forgive someone as vile as that sorry excuse for a mother. She abused Hobak her whole life, eventually leading her to a miscarriage, and then has the audacity to ask for forgiveness? She deserves a damn restraining order.
Ms. Oh is right, he needs to make and be firm on his decisions, he keeps letting everyone walk over him and do stuff against his wishes. when sobak hugged him, he should have pushed her off or somthing. however she does need to know that sobak will always be in the picture, because of the kids. instead of fighting over who is in charged and gets what, they should work on being able to raise the kids together in a healthy attitude so the kids can b happy and mature about the situation. also hobaks mom needs to appreciate her more.
