Johan is the best!!! I hired his firm to handle all of my new construction in Punta Cana. His knowledge of the business is broad and wide. And the staff is amazing! Hiring his firm was the best. Love the podcast Cheryl! And glad that you had Johan as a guess. Tuning in to your podcast as well as Johan's, I always learn something!
great teaching
You look beautiful Cheryl you both look great in the blue💙
Very legal blue 😉
Fantastic detail. Another informative podcast.
I heard many good things about him
Amazing info
Thank you! We keep it interesting.
Very informative, I have just bought an apartment in punta cana, I do pay a 3% tax on the personal property could tell me why
@@RolandStLuce it’s the land transfer tax. A one time fee paid to the tax office to get the title transferred to your name.
I hired him. He’s pricey. However I am disappointed with his service. He offered no legal advice. He assisted with ensuring a clean title for the property and helped to get a bank for me. He was not professional; was sarcastic and dismissive when speaking about my plan to finance my purchase. His staff is very professional and helpful. But he basically charged me $5k+ and handled my case on Saturdays.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm sorry to hear that it didn't meet your expectations. I'm glad his staff was professional and helpful.
I'm also sorry and surprised you had that experience.
@@CherylHendersonPuntaCana Yes. I've been feeling pretty badly about it. His staff is awesome. But the last time I spoke with him was 3-4 wks ago and then he did not remember the facts about my property; made disparaging remarks. It was weird. I asked him why he did not include certain contingencies in my offer that would have protected me. We will be closing soon. I'm happy about that. Thanks, Your podcast and your guests are the best!!
@@PatrickBentley thanks. Yes, I'm quite shocked by it. I received his name and another ATTY from a real estate agent. So he came as a referral. I should have chosen the other Atty. '.."spilled milk"
Hi Marcia, thank you for your comment. I think that your comment gives my team, and especially myself, a great opportunity for improvement and to continue to offer our clients the best service and protection when buying a property in the Dominican Republic; also, I greatly appreciate your kindness and comment about my team and the level of professionalism same as our job on the performance of the verification and due diligence of the property that you are buying. We'll do our best to apply the necessary corrections and make sure that your further experience with us meets your expectations. However, looking at our line of communication via email and WhatsApp, I want to clarify that we agreed to talk to you on the weekend because you were not available to speak on Friday afternoon, if not until 8:00 pm Dominican time, which unfortunately did not work for us at that time. We consider that waiting until Monday was way to long, therefor we made ourselves available to talk to you on a Saturday under the understanding that this option was going much helpful for you than waiting until Monday to get a response.
Again, thank you for expressing your satisfaction with our customer service and due diligence performance, we are committed to the satisfaction of our client's, we will do our best to continue to improve.
