    I took it upon myself to get some bupe because my heroin dealer never showed up and it's been three days of no dope. The withdrawals were so awful, I took two 8mg bupes and I feel perfect! Good thing this is a long lasting opioid too, it removes all my cravings and mixed with weed helps better with diminishing withdrawals from heroin. I developed a huge tolerance quickly over the span of a year, three had me ODing, now three just gets me feeling normal and a nice high, not the intense rush I would get when I first started, and it's that you're always trying to achieve. That's why they call it chasing the dragon, because dragons have wings and will burn you and fly if you chase em. Not even once. Don't ever get hooked on opiates. I miss the old pothead Drew, but I'll get there again. Kratom helps too, but for me, bupe is way better than kratom because it's an actual opiate, and with kratom you don't really know what you're getting.

    Clean 2years now.I was addicted to morphine IV to a maximum of 80mg in 24hours then I was started on suboxone which I managed to taper to 1mg daily by assumption since I used to split the 2mg tab.Then there's this doctor in a clinic in Kenya who gave me some powder to boil and drink when I was feeling withdrawal from suboxone .....I drunk that herb once and from that day I never felt any withdrawal or any craving for any opiate.Almost now 3years clean.

    With the ceiling effect why take more than 8mgs a day. Isn't more just redundant?

    • @TheWestifyable
      @TheWestifyable 2 года назад +1

      To an extent. I believe the readings say 98% of your receptors are saturated at 16mg. I know someone that takes 24mg daily. They’re really only getting that extra 2% from that final 8mg.

  • @joshcoyle6223

    i think the blocking effect only applies to a max "ceiling" dose, with any receptors not partial filled lending to a full agonist effects.

    There is always lack of info of how to cope with precipitated withdrawal. I had one, and did not know if I should actually cope with it (like live through it naturally, sorry cuz english is not my native language) or take more buprenorphine. After some time, I found a study that much greater dose of buprenorphine (ex. 16-32 mg, if much smaller dose caused prec. WD) can be helpful. I would like this information to be confirmed actually. So, if a patient did not wait enough and actually went into precipitated withdrawal, how to proceed?

    Don’t even get me started on the long term side effects of buprenorphine. It effects your ability to show and have feelings. Crumbles your teeth as fast of faster than meth, completely clusterfucks any definition of a sleeping habit,messes with hearing, my hair started thinning about a year after I started, I’m not far from completely bald on top. This medication becomes as much a part of your life as oxygen and water but more so (literally). The withdrawal from this medication after taking a sustained dose for 10 years are incomprehensible. The anxiety alone is debilitating but you feel like death cramp all over all the while “of fuck” sprinting to the Br every 20-30 minutes to shit through a screen and never touch i.

      You are so right. I was having horrible anxiety in the mornings before I dosed, memory problems, mood swings were crazy and it seemed to be altering my personality psychotic episodes. After 4 mo's I quickly tapered down from 16mg to 8. 4mgs in the morning then 4mgs at night. . Then 6 mgs a day after 8-9 days each drop. Then 4mgs every morning same time. It was pretty easy till I got to 2mgs for 8-9days one night of a little discomfort with each drop in dose . 1mg then .75 then .50. now I'm at .25. I read and also found it harder below 1mg. I'm taking my time because hypertension is a big concern so I'll be asking my Dr for Clonidine for withdrawals and elevated blood pressure. This month will be 10mos I've been on it and wish I had only taken it for a day or two for opiate withdrawals. The horrible anxiety I felt every morning went away at around 2mgs a day. Magnesium Glycinate definitely helped with sleep and overall feeling like myself again. Check RUclips for info on magnesium Glycinate.

      My hair also started to thin out but after only 5-6 mo's. Have you tapered down and if so how many mgs a day are you taking?

    Natural produced opiods are not called endorphins

  • @Historicity
    @Historicity 2 года назад

    Never, ever, do fully synthetic opioids ever. If anything half synthetic (Heroine) or non-synthetic fully natural (Morphine & Codeine).
    The maintenance replacement opioids bind to your opioid receptors for MUCH longer. With Fentanyl being the absolute worst regarding its use recreationally, not how long it binds. Which is highly contested may I add, most say it’s a 2-hour half life however you will clearly see from individuals it is not that simple.
