Just watched this film again last night. A remarkable masterpiece and the last film (if i am not mistaken) produced by Yasmin Ahmad before she died. Susah dah nk jumpa movie melayu sarat wacana mcm beliau hasilkan, meski tak pernah lari dari pelbagai kontroversi dan kritikan.
Yes..I teared for this scene.... Touching indeed.. I still remember , the cinema was at pin drop silent during this song..even now when I see this...I feel touched... Kudos to Yasmin Ahmad...I ve watched almost all her movies..she is a good story teller
this really reminded me of my high school days in Main Convent, Ipoh. So much has changed since...so little can be fixed..i miss my high school days...sometimes..i miss my friends, i miss our innocence..i miss everything

Truly the most touching scene especially the last part. If an Indian is included, that would be perfect. But still, it doesn’t matter on race or background, love and respect always wins.

just watched this film in netflix just now. this is the only yasmin ahmad film i havent watched and i weep so hard on this version :’( 💔 didn’t know that there’s an english version of Pergi by Aizat Amdan. Such a somber masterpiece plss i miss Yasmin Ahmad 😔

love this song... i juz dont really get the part where his mom ate the strawberry and died... did she know she cant eat the strawberry? coz she hesitate when the man gave her the fruit.
I see it as the last visit from the Angel of Death. The guy who keeps visiting her is an angel, we don't see him being sick and we're told that her ward doesn't allow male patient to be there but he just keeps on coming to her. When asked if he could walk, he said "Terbang selalu lah." in which makes the audience thinks he says it jokingly to cheer her up. It truly is a very well written film.
hope that the relationship between Malay and Chinese will be cohered one day as what the ending shown to the audience. miss u Yasmin Ahmad too
