Thanks, Mary Kay. This year, due to the border closing, in SEP I paddled along the southern border of Quetico, from Crane Lake to Ely. Then I went back in OCT and paddled much of the border east of Ely, towards Grand Marais. I was very impressed with the BWCA, and it really helped me to come to terms with the fact that we may not be able to get into Canada next year, which is what many of the outfitters are saying. So if we lose access to our beloved Quetico for an extended period, we have a great alternative. I also did a houseboat trip in Voyager's National Park, and that too was awesome, although I didn't get my wilderness fix from that one. I hope to get those edits started this month and will post the videos over the winter. Take care and thanks again for your kind words.

Thanks for the video, Mark! I also enjoyed another Quetico video of yours where you met back up with the dentist you paddled with through a stormy night on the way back to the dock at Nym Lake. I lead another group of Quetico traveling/fishing dentists.
We're doing a shortened version of your trip in this video in the middle of June this year. We're coming in at McAree and going through Pond, James (Little Gratton), Wicksteed, Darkwater and into Brent before heading down through McIntyre, Deer/Cecil/Doe and into Robinson, and then we'll head out through the Horse River to the Mudro parking lot. We'll have five days, but we travel fairly light and fast.
My question is that I see in this video that you were able to skip a number of portages by canoeing down streams or lining down them. Any chance you know of any portages on our route we'll have a chance of skipping? I'm aware that McAree into Pond is typically a pull through. I'm hoping we'll be able to line a portion of the Darkwater river portages between Darkwater and Brent, as I've heard those portages can be quite wet in June. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

If you look at the moose's drawings, you'll see they're fake. They were Obviously drawn by humans.
