As a saxophone player who often plays ensembles, I'm so pleased and grateful they turned toward the band during the break... a classy, respectful thing to do.
Martena Vencill Seth has come out and said he has a big appreciation for the big band ensembles and orchestras :) he uses them for his films and TV shows rather than just a computer-generated soundtrack as he appreciates the work and authenticity a big band ensemble provides. He says it's a shame its a dying art to use an actual orchestra in Hollywood (studios try to use a computer now if they can-it's a lot cheaper) and he wants to cling that.
Martena Vencill Loved the band, and if U close your eyes it's almost as if Frank's on stage. I'd love to see Seth on stage and see him team up with Jackie Evancho, and sing one of FS's jazzy sort of songs. Seth's very smooth, and Jackie's voice has been compared to liquid honey.
Martena Vencill They both obviously love the music, and appreciate the musicians tremendously. I think many professional performers are like this, even if they don't know the proper way to show it.

I beleived he was actually coached by sone of Frank Sinatra's asoiciates, so that is likely where the 40/50's style comes from

As much as I love both his cd's , I found it refreshing that he did not sing one song from his records, nor from the classic Sinatra repertoire, he sang for two hours, and I only knew 1 song, it was just awesome

Sara is one of the most musically talented performers out there today. I don't know why more people don't know about her. Maybe because she just doesn't do the sorts of things that pop stars do? Whateve. She's beautiful and brilliant, and I'm glad she's doing what she's doing.

We think of artist and when we lose them, this is a living artist today. Seth has grabbed us out of dumb ass taste of music and delivered us something better. Thank you sir, your voice is magic.

Sara Bareilles sings a lot of really excellent stuff. It just doesn't get as much attention. "Lie to Me," "Bright Lights and Cityscapes," "Once Upon Another Time," "Stay," "Fairytale," and "Winter Song" are a few of my personal favorites from her.
