Ah, the elusive spotted eel. I've caught my share of those on Norman. Did you pick up a spinnerbait? If you find bait in the smaller pockets with creeks running in them it can be fire right now on Norman. 👍
I threw the chatterbait alot I should have have threw the spinnerbait in the wind but didn't. That pocket at the end had running water and the spillway but that's all I tried
@@landonmoore76 I like chatterbaits on Norman during post spawn when the bass are guarding fry. At the same time I target post spawn females by skipping weightless senkos under the last few docks in the pockets. The females get lazy while trying to recover from the spawn but will still hit a slow falling senkos. Dang I'm ready to fish! Haha one more day of work and its on! Lol.
Looks like great weather for you while I'm at work lol. I sight fished one under a dock with a wacky rig but took my senko and missed it. I seen a few under the docks that wouldn't bite
Does anybody know if that boats gonna get taken out at some point? I'd imagine it's up to NCWRC to deal with it considering it's been sunk for couple months.
All i hear from you is complaining about the fish you were catching. Dam shut up and put yourself on better fish if your not liking the fish your are catching. Its like the lake owes you a 5lb bass on every cast,
Turd rig gets it done! I was skeptical at first as well. Then I was shocked. Good numbers bait.
Yeah it works and comes through the rocks good still hope I don't have to use much
@@landonmoore76 lmao! Dont like the fairy wand huh?
Nope I just use it when I have to lol
@@landonmoore76 😂
can you give me the address of that place
Good job 👍
Thanks man I expected to catch more but the cold front made it tough
That one was long, but scrawny!! Good fishing!
Thanks if he was fat I might have won
Great job
Thanks I thought they would bite better
I can’t believe you do that good in 56 degree water
It was 56° but a cold front dropped the temp a northeast wind in the spring time makes the bite tough. No one caught them good 5lbs won
Where do you go to find tournaments for Lake Norman & Lake Wylie? Im in the Charlotte area.
Nice fish dude...Cool channel!
Thanks man
NC Bassin No Problem and maybe we can do a collaboration...I haven’t caught a largemouth or spotted bass in a long time!
Maybe we can that's about all I fish for
NC Bassin Okay...Let me know!
Nice boat
Thanks it's been a really good boat for me. My last boat was problem after problem
Nice hybrid. .but wow that one bass was so skinny!!!
Thanks any other time I would have been really happy to catch that hybrid. That spot would have been 4lbs if he was fat
Pls do a vid at high rock lake it’s in nc the fishing is great and it about 1hr from lake Norman
Yeah I've been thinking about going there since I seen a 33lbs bag come out of there last week
NC Bassin Badin is also a good lake for big largies.
Yes I want to go there it's just a 1 hour and 40 minute drive away but I plan on going there in the spring
Can you catch small mouth in this lake?
Nope the closest lake to here would be Lake James but there's some smallmouth in Kerr Scott
I litterally live on lake Norman and I didn’t know they had bass tournaments
They literally have tournaments everyday of the week and multiple tournaments on weekends on Norman. That lake gets hammered
Can you tell me we’re this is lol I never catch fish and your over here catching all these good size fish
Queens landing and state park. This is a really old video but they still bite there
At least u Didnt skunk bro nice vid
Yeah that's true I expected to catch more though for sure

Well, didn’t win, but not bad fishing day. I’ll take that.😁
Thanks I was expecting more bites but can't catch them everytime
Last few times I've been to Queens, I've thought about throwing into that sunken sailboat.
Haha I threw a wacky rig around it no bites though
Does anybody know if that boats gonna get taken out at some point? I'd imagine it's up to NCWRC to deal with it considering it's been sunk for couple months.
I think they'll leave it, its good cover for the fish
I’m the opposite. I fish for hybrids and get mad when the spotted bass won’t leave me alone.
That lake is loaded with spotted bass I'm sure they're aggravating when fishing for hybrids
What part of nc are u from?
Statesville
I’m from Surry county
Mecklenburg here!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Just needed to fish slower
You're right it's hard to do in a 5 hour tournament but that's what I needed to do

Thanks for the criticism this video is 3 years old. A 5lb bass is very rare on Norman the total weight winner barely had 5lbs
