Looking at his character in the entirety of the series aside from the pranks he's basically the "Straight man" in how he interacts with everyone. So when your character is basically the straight person breaking can be seen as that character laughing at the ridiculousness around them.
Rainn had the most amount of bloopers He was always the first to crack but because Dwight is supposed to be a "serious" character, everytime he even smiled they will throw the shot out. John is lucky that Jim was a giggling goof too
Whenever Paul Lieberstein talks with his quiet, embarrassed, pathetic broken sentences, it absolutely kills me. I laugh so hard every time when Toby tells Michael in the episode "The Convict" that his staff are just teasing him, as if he's talking to a little kid; and ironically, it is one of the few times Michael listens to Toby. Paul had some of the funniest moments on this show, and his creepy moments just made it even more hysterical.
@MirandaCozzette I especially love the episode when Michael wants to ask for a raise, and Toby is so sick of listening to Ryan and Kelly bickering, he is more than happy to go with Michael, even though Michael is so annoyed that he has to take Toby to New York.
I recall hearing Paul would try to avoid including himself in episodes he wrote, but other writers loved him so much they would make sure to include him. He does his character really well!
have you seen her roller skating when coming out from backstage on the craig ferguson show? its pretty fantastic... all her interviews w him are completely fun, seeing how great she was at playing someone polar opposite. Same w Stephanie Beatriz who played Rosa on Brooklyn 99... COMPLETELY diff in interviews from her character
I always liked when Mindy started smiling/laughing, the camera zoomed a bit to take her out of the shot. Also when Michael is talking about the dementors, he says there are no movies in prison because he doesn’t know/realize Harry Potter was a series of books.
im pretty sure they had to have more of a talent to hold the laughter than just the talent to act. well they had more work with that than just acting, acting was the easiest part for this cast lol
The breaks in this are really slight, but it turned out to just be a mix of some of the funniest moments. I love how the kept the accountants and Stanley's laughter in when Dwight is listing off the fake diseases.
I'd love it if "hot dog fingers" was improv'd and that's what broke Angela... like what Mulaney did to Stefon on the SNL skits, giving completely unexpected lines
Toby's flat effect for the flasher always gets me. Just Toby and his monotone style unbothered by anything Michael says or does is definitely underrated. He's just used to it. 😂😂😂 Michael's laugh just makes me laugh
Genius compilation. I haven’t noticed some of these before. You can tell when the actor is really trying to hold it together versus acting. I don’t know how they got through some of those scenes!
One of Michael's deepest desires was for Pam and Ryan to help him off the bathroom floor as he lay between the stall's wall and the toilet and then clean him up with a wet towel while they tended to his George Foreman grilled foot and Michael berating Toby loudly as he stands outside the bathroom.
Steve Carrell almost broke during the Prison Mike scene after he says Harry Potter. You can see a smile on his face for just an instant before he recovers and continues.
When Kevin sits on Michael’s lap got me so bad 😂❤ Michael wheezes out his Santa line, and then Kevin stalls and takes forever to answer and just draws it oooouuuutt. “I don’t know what I want; I don’t know you were gonna ask me that.”😅
nobody ever talks about this one, but when Stanley tells Dwight to deduct all of his SchruteBucks, if you listen carefully you ca hear someone bust out into laughter...
“Government created killer nano robot infection”, is the funniest combination of words ever uttered on The Office, possibly the funniest on TV. And I’ll fight anyone who disagrees. Edit 2:56
The one where Kevin sits on Michaels lap , on the Netflix version ,you can see Andy ( Ed Helms) ducking behind the right wall because he was starting to laugh. In the Peacock version , he's there , he's not there and then he's there again , because it was edited out. 🤷
I think Jim can get away with breaking more since he essentially functions as the audience stand-in so much of the time
It’s consistent with his character to break character
That’s a paradox, there.
Looking at his character in the entirety of the series aside from the pranks he's basically the "Straight man" in how he interacts with everyone. So when your character is basically the straight person breaking can be seen as that character laughing at the ridiculousness around them.
Andy literally left the shot on Secret Santa cos he couldn't stop laughing.
Jim did too
They had to pan the camera away because mindy couldn’t stop laughing
nice catch
Jim wasn’t in the original shot, right? Or did I miss it?
At the VERY end of that scene, you can see Dwight blurred out in the background, laughing, too.
The Dementors are the scariest part about prison, I would know.
You mean like Harry Potter?
@@sweettea527I'm not sure why we're talking about a potter
What did you do that they arrested you in Cambodia? 😂
@@sankalpjaret2043 It will be kept a secret.

Idris was FIGHTING for his life 😂😅😂
The Idris Elba one is hilarious. He's REALLY trying to keep it together.
Right? Kevin rocked his world and he is barely hanging on.
My favorite part 😂 he almost lost it
I had noticed all the other breaks in the show....I can't believe I never caught that one!!
Mans fighting for his life
for sure!!
I never noticed the Idris one, he was so serious of a character that one is really hilarious. He is FIGHTING
In Secret Santa, John Krasinski didn't want to be in the scene simply because he couldn't stay serious
90% of the time it’s John who’s cracking up. His giggle is gold! 😂❤
Rainn had the most amount of bloopers
He was always the first to crack but because Dwight is supposed to be a "serious" character, everytime he even smiled they will throw the shot out.
John is lucky that Jim was a giggling goof too

I love his character so much. He portrays Toby so well

The Scranton strangler
2:53 LMAO it's so odd seeing Angela laughing when she's usually super serious 💀
I never realized that part was a blooper they just kept in lol

Yup, Kevin almost broke him!
I always liked when Mindy started smiling/laughing, the camera zoomed a bit to take her out of the shot. Also when Michael is talking about the dementors, he says there are no movies in prison because he doesn’t know/realize Harry Potter was a series of books.
😂
"Hot dog fingers" LMFAO. I don't blame Angela for that one.
How they were able to shoot any scenes without cracking up is a miracle.
im pretty sure they had to have more of a talent to hold the laughter than just the talent to act. well they had more work with that than just acting, acting was the easiest part for this cast lol
The accountants clump is my fav friend group in the office
Momma Bear, Poppa Bear & Baby Bear 🐻

According to Office Ladies all of the diseases were improv I believe lol.
Idk how Steve Carell keeps his composure with some of the $h1t he had to act out. I’m always amazed when he pulls it off so smoothly
I liked how subtle some of these were. I never would have noticed that hint of a smirk on BJ's face.
i didn’t get that joke
@@crustyaf1s michael said "TDB" instead of "TBD" so he said "to determined be" instead of "to be determined"
Mindy Kaling fighting for her actual LIFE to not die laughing when Kevin was on Michael's lap.
There’s an outtake where BJ moves and stands in front of her because she was laughing, can’t blame her tho
Omg I never noticed Idris’ struggle before 🤣 incredible
“You know. As that was coming out of my mouth, i knew that it was wrong. “

kevin laughing in the background is the cherry on top XDD

Sad nobody has mentioned when Jim popped Dwight's ball he was sitting on.
Too fast. They should release the full recording after it cuts out.
Yes!!!!
John Krasinski can never hold it together 😂😂😂
Wide eyed Jim at 0:49

How about 2:09 where Ed Helms literally has moved himself out behind the wall because he couldn't hold it together anymore

When both of Kevin’s feet go up…🤣🤣
Michael’s in crisis mode..
5:26 the kissing noises after "Michael, please" 😂😂
Steve Carrell almost broke during the Prison Mike scene after he says Harry Potter. You can see a smile on his face for just an instant before he recovers and continues.
Of course John is on this list 3 times 😂
Theres also the one where Jim pops the yoga ball from underneath Dwight. You can catch him cracking up as he walks away 😂
Idris was fighting for his life lmao
HOW they got a clean shot of the first clip is beyond me. Easily one of my top favorite office moments ever 😂
Kevin’s “hi” just took 10 mins of my life 😂😂😂
When Kevin sits on Michael’s lap got me so bad 😂❤ Michael wheezes out his Santa line, and then Kevin stalls and takes forever to answer and just draws it oooouuuutt. “I don’t know what I want; I don’t know you were gonna ask me that.”😅
Some are debatable. Also, look how concentrated Creed is on Prison Mike's talk. 😂😂😂
You missed the one when Will Farrell was being helped out of the office during his concussion. Will made random noises and John started breaking
0:49 JOHN’S FACE! 😭😭😭 when he make his eyes big it always get me!
Idris Elba's character was one of my fave side characters(from the main cast). he did an Awesome job
This will forever be my favorite show of all time
The Kevin point to Angela on hot dog fingers is totally him breaking and exactly like him and Jim at the vending machine
John Krasinski always covers his mouth 😂😂
0:53 Jim was trying so hard not to laugh or say “that’s what she said” 😂
if stanley is laughing, then you know that it is a highest level comedy. you can even heard his laugh from the background
This must be one of the very few series where breaking character can randomly fit in the scene
The plasma tv scene in the dinner party episode is gold.
"and I never got caught" prison mike 😂
Toby is comedy gold
Kevin breaking in the bg of the first clip is so funny lmao
nobody ever talks about this one, but when Stanley tells Dwight to deduct all of his SchruteBucks, if you listen carefully you ca hear someone bust out into laughter...
You could tell the accountants one was a break when it was ANGELA being the one to first laugh lol
Toby rollin in 20 minutes late lmao 0:20
Do they usually have parent teacher conferences in the AM?

They say they didn't, but I find it hard to believe. lol
Kelly was losing it when Kevin was sitting on Michael's lap.

Thing is though when they break character it actually fits the office atmosphere.
The sitcom was so funny that two serious actors like Timothy and Idris almost broke xD
