- The Hotwalk Carbon by Specialized is a race-ready balance bike with no expenses spared. But do we really need a $1000 training bike for toddlers? Today, we'll find out. We'll have a very close look at the Hotwalk Carbon, talk about the pros and cons, and then actually ride it on a real mountain bike trail.
I borrowed this Hotwalk Carbon and will miss it. Given the right discount or used price, I will strongly consider buying one.

I’m glad Seth finally nailed his bike size down 😂
My first thought was "oh cute, we're gonna see Seth's kid ride!" Instead, we got Seth on a balance bike. Not complaining.
I'm offended it isnt S-Works, tubeless, and dropper.
In 2019 my wife signed my 4 year old up for Strider Bike Nationals race our hometown Charlotte NC, on a used Strider that I got for $20. When we showed up, we were surprised to see that families had flown from Japan, Costa Rica, Columbia, etc. Their kids were riding carbon versions, and absolutely killing it! Some were sponsored and had jerseys. But I can’t read Japanese to tell you by Hu.
In all fairness, with this bike you are truly emotionally preparing your child for cycling in all of its tech, flashiness and $$$$.
The fact that this held up to a grown man riding it down the trail is pretty impressive and it totally looks fun.
As usual, specialized will always be the most expensive thing on planet earth when it comes to bikes
Fun fact it is the lightest bike ever made
Shame it doesn’t come with a rear brake! That’s one thing that would sure help the transition to a standard bike! My kids went so fast on balance bikes…😬
Kids don't need Ferraris to learn how to drive. 🤣🤣
As a dad that had 2 toddlers outgrow the same Hotwalk, biggest thing missing from that S-works is the footrests. This was a great feature to allow kids to learn what it feels like to have your feet supported on the bike while making turns. This translates perfect to pedals later on. My youngest never needed training wheels.
We used to have one of these at the shop I worked at. I would always joke with customers that we have the lightest and most aerodynamic bike Specialized has ever made. It finally sold when it went down to $500.
Only youtuber who can have our full attention for 10 minutes with a video on a balance bike. Keep up the good work!
I now wanna see a decked out toddler bike with suspension, dropper post, the whole lot done to it. Is feel like that will be an amazing build to watch!
My local Specialized dealer has one of these on the wall and told me they’ve sold quite a few of them, mainly as wall art.
Can we just appreciate that Tailwhip barspin for a min. Hes got some dope moves on a balance bike for sure. 10/10 editing as always 😆
I'm starting to think Seth and Diamondback ending their sponsorship deal was for the best. Seth is really letting his creativity take over with awesome content like this. Keep it up!!
As a parent of two young kids this is my favorite episode ever. I absolutely love the juice box holder.
I work for Specialized, and this is one of the favorite bikes we have because its so ridiculous. I've almost purchased one so many times. One day I'll cave and snag one.
There’s just something watching Seth speed through the woods on a small ahh bike
