I love Daizen so much man. The guy has gotten so much stick over the years, but he is absolutely vital in every single title we've won since he arrived.
Arrived in Greece Fri night.. I've met German, Danish and English Celtic supporters so far. I've saw one Gers top on a toddler. We are everywhere. 🇮🇪💪 Champions again. Superb.
Hopefully, there's a couple of positives in us not getting a massive scoreline win against them at the weekend. Firstly, if we hammered then 6-1 or something, it would give the board too much ammo to not back us in the summer. Whereas, a 'close' win makes it seem more urgent. And, then secondly, if we thrashed them in the league, the Cup Final would probably be a closer tie for the sake of us maybe being overconfident, them being more fired up to avoid another drubbing, and the refs making sure of it. Or maybe im just trying to be positive to help manage my central nervous system, which is still stressed from Saturday 🫠💚
Delighted to get the win but it was a lot tighter than it ought to have been - that zombie side is as poor as anything Warburton/Pedro C served up. Rodgers is a very good motivator, has a winning mentality (which he honed at Celtic) and can handle the media pressures of the job well but he is a poor tactician and signer of players. He deserves kudos for getting us over the line but it is also true that his outdated and predictable tactics are what got us into a mess in the first place. If he sticks around, which seems very likely, then expect more of the same next season...but this time without Hart/Oriley/Reo/Kyogo etc.
Can’t stop thinking that those two Idah chances Kyogo would have scored them. One of the worst things this season is how we have under utilised kyogo enough
Why did we create those chances for idah but not for Kyogo. It is criminal how little service Kyogo has, his signature move at the front post to just slip the ball into the net.
phew, I don't have to worry about a Rangers treble anymore 😎. Seriously when will the board wakes up and understand you need to build upon your success to maintain dominance, they gambled and won this time but if we have lost the league we would have given Rangers a leg up financially just because the board wanted to stash more money in the bank.
Violent conduct usually results in a red card and even though the incident was early in the game collum failed to stamp out the late challenges on Celtic players and as we seen with lundstram if you fail to stamp your authority on the game then there'll always be a decision to make later on in the game HH
I doubt that every one of Jock's nine in a row titles were won with fast, free football all the time. Flags are won in many different ways and, as Melly said, we take none for granted. I will enjoy this one every much as I've enjoyed previous ones and every much as I will enjoy future ones. Great podcast. HH.
How on earth is this one of the worst Celtic sides to beat Rangers to a title. Squad maybe lacking depth and granted the defence could do with a bit of strengthening. Joe Hart has been very good again. CCV excellent when fit. Hatate, O’riley, Mcgregor….. excellent. Maeda, Kyogo both had good seasons. James Forrest back to his best. I find that statement bizarre 🤨
Yeah 100% Rangers are poor. In my opinion Celtic have been inconsistent. That might be down to lack of squad depth amongst other things. I do feel like Celtics best 11 is a strong one. Only players could be upgraded for me would be the full backs or possibly Scales. But tbf they’ve had good seasons. Love the podcast btw😁
We get money for league and automatically into champs league again and if Matt goes it’s at least 25 million plus , if we can keep the rest of the team then spend a decent amount for one on a keeper , LB to fight with Taylor , a winger and striker spending on who else goes palma and for example then I’m happy and anyone above that could be a bonus . I’m willing to give myself hope that the board will have to back rodgers to a good level or he will quite rightly walk away. Basically I’m saying def starters next season CCV TAYLOR ,HATATAE, Maeda , cal mac , kyogo , Kuhn , I think palma will stay then there’s a few other player who are squad players , hjolm and tillio will be there but who knows if they will be out on loan , I personally would take Bernardo and you’ve got Yang so as much as yes we need changes it’s not like an absolute overhaul. I think two massive things will be tbe keeper we sign and can we get a centre back who will play a full season and be decent. Maybe need two keepers really cos even our squad keepers arent worth it, I’ve no doubt Bain will stay on as he just seems to get a wage for nothing lol. Special mention to Jota back? I’m excited to see what happens.
No slideys is an age old affirmation lads come on! The memes write themselves really. It’s just so easy now. Names on the cereal box’s shows how out of touch their club is. Meet “the rangers”, cringier than the old rangers 🤦🏼♂️😂😂 Let the banter years role 🍀💚
Hope Brendans and the players hard work to win this league doesn't take the heat off the board in the instance of the last few transfer windows. We all know quality is still badly needed in numerous positions 🍀🍀
Expecting a quick early summer business of intent after disaster of last year...cup final week i wouldnt be surprised if something like scott mckenna or coventry lad o'haire in announced
Brendan has made plenty of excuses this season!!! What you on about guys!! Spoke numerous times about injuries, poor quality, recruitment. C'mon guys, Balance please. Great pod🍀
Does anyone else think that dessers goal should have been disallowed for a foul on Taylor. Sure sterling was holding him down when he headed it towards dessers.
It’s 100% fouls, you see them given every single time. I’d understand if it was slight but he got up early and had two hands pushing Taylor down to hold himself up. If that was the other way around it would be all over the media for the next year
Mellie t-shirt watch continues as he appears to be repping Irish skiffle combo, Fontaines DC. This group's members met through a shared love of poetry and I'm certain that like the rest of us, they all want to hear more of Mellie's new poem, "Thank you for my favourite food."
Kenny miller - “Johnstone put his leg in the way of Lundstram” What ??? I swear he said that. Even forgetting the whole Celtic rangers thing , I’m not saying this bcos I’m a Celtic man etc , in general I thought that was the worst show of absolute biased unprofessional commentary I’ve ever heard and it just got worse. As for the o Reilly one I wasn’t sure at first but the picture from the back shows the legs tangling and I totally see it’s a penalty however did he hang his leg in there… maybe …. It’s one of those , wasn’t a side , wasn’t a def pen wasn’t a def not , the ref said pen the var checked and at that point it’s not var says we think your wrong it’s having looked at it so you think you made a clear and obvious error on the field ref, he said no and I can’t really argue with that so for once the ref and var done what they should correctly.
Bringing Iwata on invited pressure on us,we could've put them to the sword more convincingly,we played last 20 trying to hit them on the break,I'll take it though,H.H.🍀👍
Love this podcast so much but I could have KILLED Melly when I heard him ask BR the ‘fun’ question. Think he ruined a plan to bring it up before or after we lift that important trophy! 😆
Also hear me out, I know it is mental to suggest... but with the money we have available for next season can we not source a Jota-esq LW player and then put Maeda because of his sheer determination, energy and pace, we could utilise Maeda as a modern day Agathe and get him playing as a LWB... bombing up and down the left side and letting the LW drift and cut inside and support a mover like Kyogo?
Also given the positions that someone like Taylor gets themselves into Maeda would likely be able to manage at LB and have better recovery pace to track back and cover the entire left side🤣
Edouard at player of year gave me de ja vu of brendan just randomly starting to attend games tail end of last year....if choice 5mil idah/6mil mirovski or 8-10mil eddie only 1 winner
Eddy downed tools when we needed him most, fell oot o favour wi me after that and he can stay sitting on palaces bench as far as I'm concerned, however if he'd left the club the proper way then I'd hae him back in a shot HH 🍀
For me, the fact the starting XI on Saturday had no players from summer or winter windows is a headline. That needs to be held up as a basis for everything that happens before the start of 24/25.
yep brendy stayed calm in times of doubt. season has had its moments of what felt like collapse, losing to hearts, killie, GB getting banned, even bood off father christmas ffs. but brendan got us through it. just hope the big boys give him some pocket money to buy some sweets in the summer
The only times Rodgers have blamed others have been transfer-related and when he called out that horrible ref in our loss against Hearts. Both times completely right ofc. No doubt in my mind that without Rodgers there is no way we win this season. I cannot wait to find out what he can do with a good transfer window and hopefully a season with less injuries on key players.
The result really summed up our season... we've never been at our best this season and it was in full show during the 90mins where we saw a dominant 45-60 minutes and then we fall off near the end allowing teams back in. The point is, we are at our worst, deliberately some would argue the entire of this season. They have thrown everything they can "afford" at trying to catch us and Clementine has done such a stellar job, in doing the impossible - a proper David Vs Goliath story.... to bring them from 7 points behind to 6 points behind! Should Rodgers be able to now really lay onto the board and the fans get the pressure on as well and we really see the board finally let loose within the transfer windows... next season we should be clear of any domestic rival for the league title. I'm not asking for invincible trebles or back to back trebles as that is just stupid to demand. But for the league title next season, we really should be "miles clear" and then ask the question to Soreness if we are miles clear then.
The Euroexpert scout before we played Rangers told Melly that Clement was one of his favourite managers in Europe and their out of possession play was top class. So is he wrong or does Clement just need better players? What am I missing, cos Rangers tactics seem so so basic.
I think the reason we didn’t get a 3rd goal from play is down to our support.. really impatient which 100% which rubs off on the players. Fans are literally rushing and telling our players on the build up play to hurry the fk up! Instead of keeping the ball and waiting for the opening. Sort out the corners to Celtic. Too much tension in the stadium!
Was going to go to the live pod but can’t justify paying £25 for one podcast when I can get about a years worth of patreon content for that - the equivalent to about 200 podcasts
Come on guys don’t just blatantly lie. Rodgers literally said on Friday in his press conference that we didn’t play well for months due to injuries. He’s repeated that phrase for the entire season about how the style of play hasn’t changed, only the personnel has. I’m okay with Rodgers getting credit, but don’t just fabricate a narrative that rodgers never once blamed injuries for our form. It’s quite literally all he’s ever done
It's a weird paradox we find ourselves in - Rodgers deserves credit for getting a very average Celtic squad over the line - Ok But why are we so bang average when we've signed about a dozen or so players over the course of the season I find myself constantly fluctuating between "Well done Brendan" & "Aye but come on tae fcuk Brendan...."
Brilliant shithousery from McGregor asking Lawrence if he's the new hard man, class skipper 😂👍
Calmac looked psychotic lol I was feart! Can we no poach butland?
I love Daizen so much man. The guy has gotten so much stick over the years, but he is absolutely vital in every single title we've won since he arrived.
Agreed mate and first name on the team sheet for me HH 🍀
You guys have mastered the perfect level of smug after these games😂😂☘️
Also… “grow up Clement, just grow up”
Kenny Miller's reaction is the epitome of the Limmy meme of "Don't back doon, double doon!"
Arrived in Greece Fri night.. I've met German, Danish and English Celtic supporters so far. I've saw one Gers top on a toddler. We are everywhere. 🇮🇪💪
Champions again. Superb.

Plenty of people owe the gaffer an apology.

Or maybe im just trying to be positive to help manage my central nervous system, which is still stressed from Saturday 🫠💚
Nah, good musings there
I like it, I like the thinking...
Celtic were easy winners, have a look back, a penalty miss, two offside goals, multiple Butland saves. and Joe Hart sunbathing.
Delighted to get the win but it was a lot tighter than it ought to have been - that zombie side is as poor as anything Warburton/Pedro C served up. McGregor is injured, maeda is injured, ccv is injured and Johnstone is injured they play and win anyway. That’s what champions do 🏆
Full speed, slowed down, freeze framed it’s a red
"I'm no gonnae correct you" - 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Diomende should have been booked for violent conduct on hatate.
A bad one
Violent conduct usually results in a red card and even though the incident was early in the game collum failed to stamp out the late challenges on Celtic players and as we seen with lundstram if you fail to stamp your authority on the game then there'll always be a decision to make later on in the game HH

Great podcast. HH.
Not to be dramatic but dazien is my favourite player since Larsson
Now that's what I call (a legit) 54 🏆🍀

I’m excited to see what happens.
This will be one of the sweetest. Def a worry that none of this seasons signings started the game tho. Lots of work to do in the summer
I'm. Missing my tavpen disappointed interview after this game 😂😂
Great show guys. Love the detailed analysis - you guys squeeze everything out of a game.
The punditry is just sheer orange narcissism.
No slideys is an age old affirmation lads come on! The memes write themselves really. It’s just so easy now.

Brendan has made plenty of excuses this season!!! What you on about guys!! Spoke numerous times about injuries, poor quality, recruitment. C'mon guys, Balance please.
Great pod🍀
That's fair. We did acknowledge the talk of the squad quality right enough.
Does anyone else think that dessers goal should have been disallowed for a foul on Taylor. Sure sterling was holding him down when he headed it towards dessers.
Me !! Hes climbing all over him
Yup two hands on his shoulders . Cant believe nobody’s mentioned that on any podcasts I’ve watched

That was my thought too.
3 men 1 podcast 🤝
Another brilliant pod bhoys. Hail Hail
Tool up properly for Europe and the league takes care of itself🍀
Mellie t-shirt watch continues as he appears to be repping Irish skiffle combo, Fontaines DC. This group's members met through a shared love of poetry and I'm certain that like the rest of us, they all want to hear more of Mellie's new poem, "Thank you for my favourite food."

Matt would benefit from another year under Brendan’s coaching.
Depends on who his potential next coach is!
The fact rangers fans have come out thats a clear red shows you how deluded that miller is hes an embarrassment that could have broke johnstons leg
What an intro! :D Been buzzing for this lads. Keep the Hail 🍀
Kenny miller - “Johnstone put his leg in the way of Lundstram”
What ??? I swear he said that.

He definitely said something about AJ planting his leg there to draw the foul or some nonsense
Three league 🏆🏆🏆 in a row 💪🏻 it was never in any doubt for me 😂 Great podcast Bhoys HH🍀
Glad you enjoyed it
Class analysis as always 😊
Rodgers had that game won 1 week ago.
Box office Brodge.
We wrote our own story.
Bringing Iwata on invited pressure on us,we could've put them to the sword more convincingly,we played last 20 trying to hit them on the break,I'll take it though,H.H.🍀👍
tbf we should have scored 2 on the break so wasn't the worst change
Great podcast. Knowledgable and funny.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love this podcast so much but I could have KILLED Melly when I heard him ask BR the ‘fun’ question. Think he ruined a plan to bring it up before or after we lift that important trophy! 😆

Tbf it’s a valid question 🥳 It is fun beating your rivals and it’s also fun being Champions again! Hail hail 20 minute tims 🏆🍀

@@20MinuteTims It's Maeda, he will make it work 🤣

Too much rangers talk for a Tim podcast
😂 It's a podcast about the game where Celtic beat Rangers 👍🏼
Just subscribed lads.brilliant podcast HH 😂🍀🇮🇪☘️🇯🇵 🇳🇴

Don’t worry, they won’t listen
Would love to come to the live show but sadly it’s just not possible! Hope everyone has a great night.
How often has km been described as an ex Celtic player since the w/e?
COPLAND.
CORRECT
The Euroexpert scout before we played Rangers told Melly that Clement was one of his favourite managers in Europe and their out of possession play was top class. So is he wrong or does Clement just need better players? What am I missing, cos Rangers tactics seem so so basic.

I was at the game every single time we started singing Celtic gave the ball away . It was a tense atmosphere.

Best show of the season ! Absolutely brilliant, comedy gold. Been a tough season for sure but the Brodge has prevailed. Let's get that double 🍀🍀
