Martha, a veteran, shares her story ahead of Remembrance Sunday

Martha is one of our service users who served in Afghanistan. She miraculously survived an explosion during a tour, but due to delayed nerve damage later lost part of her sight and some mobility. Following a diagnosis of complex PTSD she was treated by our Veterans' Service which is part of #OPCourage which gave her hope again.
Following extensive treatment and support with us, we are thrilled to say she proudly participated in September’s #Invictus Games. Fiona Bailey in our Communications team recently sat down with Martha, and her extremely cute service dog Daisy, to find out more about her recovery journey, how many medals she bagged and of course… meeting Prince Harry!
