"jealous for"? Makes no sense whatsoever. Maybe you mean "envious of". Maybe there's a RUclips English teacher out there who is as good as this maths teacher. Raise your game.
Joey Very funny exaggeration. That is actually impossible, though. There are only 60 x 60 x 24 = 86400 seconds in a day. So you would be too late to do your test by the time you watched all those videos. LOLOLOLOL
im so thankful for stumbling across this video. ive been struggling to learn this method even after being taught in school and referring to some videos on yt. u just made it look so simple, thanks a lot!!!
did i hear some kid asking about Wawa at 14:25? liking just for that. also, would it be the same as fractions if you Used I and/or decimals. also, how did you get 1/4 from 1/16
I Love You the most. Your videos are amazing. I've been watching you for weeks getting ready to take my state exam to teach secondary Math in Texas and you've been the biggest help out of all the resources I've used. My exam is in 24 hours and I'm ready. THANK YOU, if you'v never heard it; i'm sure you have. But thank you so much and do keep doing the videos, I love them and you inspire me.
I'm watching this because my teacher completely skipped this part of the unit!! No joke, I thought I just forgot because it was one of our first units but no she completely skipped it!! Like darn, no wonder I had no idea what it was talking about on the midterm. I don't have to take finals anymore because of the mess going on right now but my friend needs help for online classes and honestly, you made this really easy to understand. Thank you!!
You are honestly one of the best teachers out there, nobody else has come close to making me understand math. Thanks for making these!! Oh and uh..... 11:33 Whataburger is better ;)
On the last equation, how do you know when it's possible to factor and when not. Because the way I learned was that you had to get a number that could be multiplied into C and also be added together to make B. How does 3+1 = 5x?? If I had something like 2x2 -16x + 3 would the same rule apply?
He skips some steps. 2x2-5x+3=0 a b c STEP 1 ac=2*3=6 Factors of ac: (1,6) (-1,-6) (2,3) (-2,-3) The pair of factors which added together equals -5 is (-2,-3) STEP 2 You plug those two numbers into the equation replacing b ,in this case, -5. The equation becomes: 2x2 -2x-3x +3 = 0 STEP 3 Here comes the factorization!! Split the equation in half, factorizing the first and second half separately. 2x2-2x -3x+3= 0 2x(x-1) -3(x-1) = 0 STEP 4 This next step will bring you to where he starts ;) (2x-3) (x-1) = 0 Hope this helps! Peace. God bless you.

Good explainer! I've watched other videos teach 'completing the square' without explaining the (b/2)², or the (b/2) shortcut, making them mathemagicians not teachers. Thanks for the video! In grad school econometrics, the prof put a three-board problem on the white board. One of the top math students said "I see where you began, and I see where the answer is, but how did you get from the beginning to the answer? The prof replied "Do you really want to know??" I almost blurted out 'No. It was an effin' rhetorical question!'
At 22:50 a student asks, "why do we need to complete the square?" This should have been addressed from the beginning and they would know the reason including the rule of "b" having to be divided by 2.
You can factor it and solve for the x ya is true Move The positive one to the other side of the equation. Your b is 6. The half of that number is 3 lovely explanation.
I like how my teacher has taken a week or two to teach us this, I dont understand, but now that I watched two videos from this guy, I can do this so easily as if I were taking candy from a baby. (Which I don't do) ALSO I really did think that y'all have been fast forwarding the whole time....
When I teach completing the square I start with coefficients only. For instance 1+4-5=0 which can be changed to1+4=5. Now take half of 4 and square it to get 1+4+4 = 5 so you have to add 4 to the right side because you did so on the left which becomes 9=9 since 9 is 3 times three so the formula becomes (x-3)squared -9 =0.
Hey yay math guy. I was watching a video you did on permutations (the doctor one)... Im having an issue with a question. Im struggling to understand the principles behind it.... any chance I can drop the question and maybe you can include it as one of your examples in your videos. Thanks for the vids man
Eyyo, it's also Friday! Btw our school is about to start S.Y.2020-2021 on Monday so, guess advance study in no time hahaha and thanks for your great teaching skills👌
you literally saved me, im a freshman in algebra 2 so its rly advanced for me and i was about to fail a test (if i fail a test i get dropped down to geometry)
most fast and easy method:- Eg- last question: 2x²-5x+3=0 Step 1 a*c=6 Step 2 l.c.m of a*c = 2,3 Fra: 2x²-2x-3x+3=0 2x(x-1)-3(x-1) (x-1)(2x-3) So Ans: 1,3/2
I'm jealous for the students, they have no idea how lucky they are to have a teacher like you.
exactly :.,(
if i were a teacher i would be jealous of HIM, the students act so well

you are better at teaching than any other teacher i have ever had thanks

Thats me right now
me too
I have a test tmr

You're so kind. Thank you for recognizing the value of connecting to the students through the math lesson.

You did so much for my homework
I had 7(2x−4)
Use the distributive property to multiply 7 by 2x−4.
14x−28
I just love the way you teach. You make it so easy to learn.
Thank you
You saved me for my Mocks
I'll hopefully see you again when I'm revising for my actual GCSE's
I watched this video, then the next day I was like the smartest kid in class
I enjoy yay math you're the only lecturer I understand math from with no questions in my head.....Keep up the good work.
Best ever teacher I've ever met ...on RUclips ... thank you so much sir
I really want a teacher like u!!!
im so thankful for stumbling across this video. ive been struggling to learn this method even after being taught in school and referring to some videos on yt. u just made it look so simple, thanks a lot!!!
Hes a good teacher, im 35 and taking classes i havent been in school in a while, this video is helping me better than the teacher i have now.

I know righhhhtt
It would be the same bc wouldn’t x just replace b?
Yeah. 3 +1 =5? Wtf???
He skips some steps.
2x2-5x+3=0
a b c

ac=2*3=6
Factors of ac: (1,6) (-1,-6)

16:23 Where did you get the half, you multiplied -5x/2 to 1/2 ?
because he's halving -5x/2 to fill the bracket.
halving is the same is multiplying by 1/2

the i = -1 so you can take out the - in the square root making it positive so you can square root

2i ? I don't understand the i ( what part of Maryland?).
What part of Maryland are you from?
Tuesday morning!! Whoooo!!
LIFE SAVER
I watched this on a Tuesday night.
by getting the half of -8 which is-4^2 that's how 16 appears in the expression. Now what is the i in the sq root infinity
"i" is a constant equal to the square root of -1. It's used as a suffix for imaginary numbers (negative numbers that have been square rooted)
Where did the 2i come from? Don't understand.
It's Friday night, and I am trying to learn this method, in order to tutor my Grade 12 grandson.

i hate numbers, so annoying, but i MUST learn this arghh

Hi I want to ask you about something
What is answer of i¹8 ?
I know this video isn't about the complex numbers but I need to know the answer
Are you asking i*8? or Square Root 8i?
Don't worry I've known the answer
If you need Algebra 1 and 2 help website, go to www.openalgebra.com (it is free)
most fast and easy method:-
Eg- last question:
2x²-5x+3=0
Step 1 a*c=6
Step 2 l.c.m of a*c = 2,3
Fra:
2x²-2x-3x+3=0
2x(x-1)-3(x-1)
(x-1)(2x-3)
So
Ans: 1,3/2
