this may be a cold take in a lot of people’s eyes, but i don’t think there was ever anything inherently scary about the fnaf games (unless you actually have a fear of animatronics) other than just getting jumpscared, which isn’t even necessarily “fear”, it’s just surprise/shock combined with feeling tense from the gameplay mechanic which is why so many people think jumpscares are cheap compared to real horror. even the original one never made me feel scared, it just made me feel stressed out of my mind. Steel Wool toned down some of the stress-factor of the original games which removed what made them “scary”, and Help Wanted has always been the mario party equivalent of mainline fnaf games.
i guess back then it was the atmosphere that made everyone scared, the ambience and mystery. the weird in-between nights minigames that didn't make any sense. for me, i couldn't find myself getting seriously scared after sister location. only thing that came close was that awful plush trap minigame which took a couple years off my life@@frog_goblin

Idk if anyone else noticed, but I'm a hour and 30 through and I realized that the VR wasn't centered, i.e when spiff was staring at the cards the card he was looking at was actually slightly to the right of the screen. It really triggered my OCD😭, but I love spiff content so who cares
it's because VR recording captures one of the two eye screens. since bith eyes need their own video feeds, recording softwares tend to allow you to choose which one to record.
