Those dresses are in style right now just so you’ll know. I’m coughing watching this video. And those Gloria Vanderbilt jeans are awesome, her brand came out strong at this time. I’m about 5 to 6 yrs. Older than Jeff 😊. Enjoyed this video 👍
Ok guys, I am a lot older than you and I'm OK with that. My husband says I'm just like that bottle of wine and just getting better with age:) oh, I wore Gloria Vanderbilt jeans back in the day! That brings back memories. It's fun to hear you youngsters joking about all these treasures I once had. Thanks
Hey Rob, watch there calling Jeff old.... Lol....I was born in 65. Jordache was high end jeans back in the day. I know Hudsons used to sell them. Love you two!!!
My dad bought a fireproof safe file cabinet at a military auction, he got a friend to open it. It was empty. He left it in his business showroom. Some burglars broke into his business, must of spent a couple hours getting into it, to find it empty. He thought that was funny.
What kind have car do you of? Is this even English?? The scary thing about this is somebody understands what you're trying to say and even liked your comment.
Years ago I worked on a shooting estate…and sometimes guests liked to take their pheasants to have them stuffed… they were well past their best..the housekeeper was taking them to post them when her car was broken into…..🤣🤣🤣wish I’d been there when they opened that box….
Thank you Rob for showing this unit. I love watching you go through units you’re very animated and honest! Oh, please don’t let Just Jeff model those Gloria Vanderbilt 😂😂😂
80's clothing is considered the retro-style. they have 80 days in schools and for adult dances. Gloria Vanderbilt was a big name in clothing in the 80's. it would probably pay to have those clothes cleaned to be sold.
Remember, sizes have changed since those clothes were new. I don't know the exact "exchanges", but a 14 then is something like an 8 or 10 now. Look it up under vintage clothing sizes. Interesting unit.
Hi Rob& Just Jeff - That autographed Playbill was signed Lauren Bacall who was married to Humphrey Bogart - Ca Ching! Playbill Beyond The Fringe really clever comedians in London, England, well known. Gloria Vanderbilt jeans is Anderson Cooper’s Mother, recently deceased. Multimillionaire . Jeans and ephemera are worth some cash. Check carefully for all the playbills. Great locker! Watching from Canada’s West Coast. Enjoy your videos ❤
These types of videos always upset me because the ephemera is so mishandled! There’s a market for it, dudes! Stop trashing and bending the store blueprints, paperwork etc. I bet it all went right in the trash. Money lost; history lost
@@maureenfitzgerald1895 I can remember getting my first pair of jeans with lycra in, they were revolutionary. No more lying flat on the bed to wriggle into jeans with no give. 🤣
What would you do with them? I know a lady has a whole store 1950s to 70s designer orig with tags on. The fabrics are incredible and only one of each piece, 40yrs inventory. How can I help her?
Oh my gosh! I had to stop the video and just say, I love Gloria Vanderbilt and Britannia jeans! High dollar back then. Very popular in the 70s and early 80s, Rob and just Jeff. If those jeans were 18s, instead of 16s LOL 16 LOL I'll be there in a heartbeat. Actually I think I might be able to wear the 16th cuz 16s were bigger back then lol keep digging guys! And I'm going to keep watching!
I worked in women’s retail in the early 80’s. Gloria Vanderbilt was just coming on the scene. Jeans were expensive and ran tight. Gloria Vanderbilt is still a current style but the size runs are different as are the cuts and material content.
The handwritten ledgers look like the type of bookkeeping I was taught in a business course at a community college - in 1979! Back then most business ledgers were kept by hand still!! Very cool and sure it must be interesting to those who like vintage papers!!!
Thanks for sharing Rob ,i was worried about you glad your ok, oh my i think thats the dustiest unit you've ever got, vintage goodness in those clothes keep up the good work i appreciate you ❤❤❤
Check out those 1982 pennies. Transition year to more zinc, less copper. Different varieties, large date, small date...some were minted on the old copper planchets in error and went in circulation. Worth $$. They look to be in good shape and probably not circulated much since that is the last date of coin in the can. Keep from beating them around. One scratch or abrasion could mean hundreds or even a thousand in value.
Gloria Vanderbilt was one of the high society designers.....80s teens usually wore her jeans or Jordache. Check those polos.....if they're the izods of the day. Those playbills are probably worth money, especially the second one signed by Phyllis Diller.....how i miss her witty comedic self. Great finds.
More likely that was a Main Street type of clothing store that closed down. the store was probably in the family since the 1930s. those blueprints would give you an idea as to where the building was at.
Great finds. Your local historical society may be interested in all that really old stuff. Especially if that store was around for as long as it seems it was.
Hi guys . Love watching you guys had bad day at and ending it lmao . Just Jeff thanks .the filing cabinet .. Surprised that paper is in that good shape after this time in storage.
Just watched your video, you showed a "Playbill" with Lauren Bacall on the front, it was SIGNED. Check to see if the signature is hers as she is a very well known acress who was married to Humphrey Bogart.
Well with some units you get to know the lady, at the dump's scale, by name. Could you just leave the "important paperwork" in the unit? I've bought a couple of units where the pallets that the junk was on was the best things in there! This time of the year is the best time to bid on units because nobody wants them when it's -35 with the wind chill -52 like a couple of days ago.
What's sad is that everything that was in there looked actually ancient. I remember this styles when I was in high school, wore those jeans in high school, Gloria Vanderbelt, God I put on a pair of those red GV Jean size 12, I looked hot. But now I am old, time goes way too fast.
Hi new to your channel Unbelievable great finds 100 % vintage finds Just a crazy thought i’m wondering if a tv network or movie studio would be interested in the clothes !!!
Make sure to check with a vintage clothing collection those Gloria Vanderbilt jeans are pricey now. Those jeans brand new in the 80s were $60 $100 depending where the store was
Good morning I just found your channel. Them clothes are from my high school days class of 1985. You got money in them boxes . Hopefully that helps love the video
Just a FYI! If you find unused stamps or stamped envelopes, you can sell the stamps to collectors. Please, don't remove the stamps from the paper. Let the stamp collector AKA...philatelist, do that. Many stamps are good starter stamps for new collectors. However, you may have a semi-valuable stamp in the mix. The coins and maybe that dollar may have some value. Check them closely. The ads have value to vintage collectors who are learning about how clothes were back in the day.

I remember girls wearing them they were considered name brand in the day !!!
I had two pairs I’d Gloria Vanderbilt jeans just like those. They were my favorite jeans.
She brought out stretch jeans
Old wine sounds gr8 u r

I remember paying a bunch of money back in the 80's for london fog All of those brands I remember. This was a high end clothing store back in the day!
London Fog is still a good brand. I just bought a new London Fog coat last winter
My dad bought a fireproof safe file cabinet at a military auction, he got a friend to open it. It was empty. He left it in his business showroom. Some burglars broke into his business, must of spent a couple hours getting into it, to find it empty. He thought that was funny.
I agree with him it is funny not that not that his business was broken into but that they wasted hours breaking into something that had nothing in it
"Must of spent a couple hours..."
What kind have car do you of? 😂😅😉😛🍻

The big box with the vintage leather ledger is worth money to paper collectors - ephemera- I personally LOVE IT!! So fun
80's clothing is considered the retro-style. they have 80 days in schools and for adult dances. Gloria Vanderbilt was a big name in clothing in the 80's. it would probably pay to have those clothes cleaned to be sold.
Gloria Vanderbilt was/is Andersen Coopers mom
What a fun treasure of new vintage clothes. This one proves that as you say, " you never know what you're going to find."
The first dresses that you showed looked like dresses Carol Brady would have worn on The Brady Bunch. Lol.
The envelopes in the last drawer are worth money! Most You Tubers disregard stamps when some are worth SERIOUS money!
Thinking the same thing
Stamp collectors would be excited
Absolutely, ephemera is big right now! So much $$$$$
I moved a bunch, would love to know how to sell them.
Omg blast from my past.they were the best fitting jeans.everyone wanted them
Gloria Vanderbilt jeans were a must have in early 80’s!
Were the best fitting ..i loved them
Crunchy Air --you made me laugh ---love watching you and just Jeff

They only did it to make obese women’s feels better-
Well- I’m not a 4- I’m a 7!!!

Wow, so many ledgers. He kept every paper. Great job Jeff busting those files open.
Holy moly! All that dust & dirt!!! Be kind to each other. Stay safe. Love to all
The cool thing would be to compare the material quality of jeans in early 80s to early 2020s crazy
Yes, that would be interesting
For sure because our jeans were 100% cotton denim - no stretch - no give. In ‘82, my Gloria Vanderbilts were my most prized jeans. Cost a lot for me!
These types of videos always upset me because the ephemera is so mishandled! There’s a market for it, dudes! Stop trashing and bending the store blueprints, paperwork etc. I bet it all went right in the trash. Money lost; history lost

I had a clothing store in 1983 and sold Brittania Jeans. I still like Glotia Vanderbilt jeans
@@VintageArtist I didn't realize you could still buy Gloria Vanderbilt jeans. Cool!
I loved my Gloria Vanderbilt jeans! You hit the jackpot with those new vintage clothes.
Vintage strawberries are very popular you can sell those dresses for quite a bit. Britannia and Gloria Vanderbilt for high-end in the early
😁👋👍👍👏👏💕🙏🏻
The clothes were a riot. I totally remembered seeing ladies wearing them.
I could smell and taste the dust as soon as you opened the door lol R.I.P to who ever used to own it 🙏🙏
I was born in 1965, so it is as old as me, some interesting stuff. ❤
Glad you enjoyed it

Wowza Rob!!!! Look at the dust and dirt.. Just Jeff, we know ya gonna love it ❤️❤️

Gloria Vanderbilt was a designer. I used to wear her jeans, in the 80s and 90s.
That was some cool vintage clothes. I’m sure it’s pretty valuable being new with tags. But man all that dust. 🤧
That one dollar bill is a star note. It could be worth more than a dollar
That storage unit is history man!
I wore Gloria Vanderbilt..I graduated in 86. I could still wear em.
I took a Claritin a minute ago lol😊

I love this man I watched in Jeremy and Jorge channel❤
For those units you should bring masks and a blower to remove surface dirt before working with the boxes.
Those playbills might be worth a bit. Beyond The Fringe starred Dudley Moore and Peter Cook.
Gloria Vanderbilt! Anderson Coopers (late) mom. Very talented women!! I noticed the emblem when you pulled them out. Very good find!
What was her talent?
@@sharksport01 artist
That is how we used to file our paper work , memories!
That was Lauren Bacall on the Broadway Playbill. The autograph might bring a few bucks.
More likely that was a Main Street type of clothing store that closed down. the store was probably in the family since the 1930s. those blueprints would give you an idea as to where the building was at.
I’m surprised how you haphazardly went through some of those newspaper clippings one of those could’ve been worth every single thing in that unit
I agree
I'd love that paper for crafting!!
There is a huge market for ephemera. All the ledgers old ads. All that paper can be money 💰. Don't throw it away!
Love the video. The camera man sounds like Garfield the cat😂😂🔥🔥
what awesome junk journal supplies.
Oh my goodness there’s enough dust on that to plant a garden. lol!!! I know how much you like dirty units. Awesome video 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
You mentioned a price tag of $28. That's pretty high for clothes back then. Those were high end clothes back then.
Great finds. Your local historical society may be interested in all that really old stuff. Especially if that store was around for as long as it seems it was.
I don't know if you ever heard of junk journaling but they go crazy over all that old paper work .

I wear Gloria Vanderbilt jeans now . Love them. Kohls
I love the dusty I cannot wait to see what's forgotten treasures are in this unit
I don't know is anyone else mentioned this yet, but the dollar you found looks like a star note. Might be worth a bit.
Hi Just Jeff - JJ! - Airi - your funniest fun club member from Finland
Any old papers pre war big big bucks .
Gloria Vanderbilt jeans were “the hot shit” in the 1980s! I coveted them but they were too much $$$ for me back then.
Sometimes you're the bug sometimes you're the windshield😂
amazing to see so many clothes on hangers as sold in a shop? Crazy
Bring back more of that boob tube bike riding that Jeff did, guess that’s gonna be spring time onwards 😂
Good find. Every article, 3very. Clothiñg all worth a bit more .
Thanks Kathy
I was born on Monday, November 30th, 1953...........WOW.
All that vintage paperwork is valuable for junk journals.
Wow those filing cabinet are old school heavy-duty! Concrete in the construction.
Haha I’m getting flashbacks to the bad fashion choices of my youth!
Looks like an ASBESTOS lined file cabinet. Be careful with that...

I'm pretty sure that Gloria Vanderbilt was Anderson Cooper's mother. And there is people out there that will pay big money for vintage jeans.
Hi Rob, Hi Just Jeff. 👋
The accounting journals and ads might be saleable as ephemera to people who are into junk journaling.
man that newspaper is dated the day I was born
That is cool

Really check out the Gloria Vanderbilt jeans. Her jeans are still selling now and I would love to have the straight leg pair . Good luck
Costco sells Gloria Vanderbilt women's jeans, I wear them. Brittania's are good jeans too
Get hold of Paper and Moose. I bet she would have a ball going through all that ephemera with you.
Good times!
Those were the jeans to have when i was a kid!
GV jeans still sold at stores today, have not seen Britannia jeans for some time
