I own both of these pieces and find that they do compete with each other for wrist time! I tend to choose the Hanhart more often, but both watches are nearly perfect. The only fault I find with the 417 ES is the milky ring on the boxed domed sapphire is very noticeable and makes the dial appear smaller. The one issue I have with the Nivada is legibility. However, since these are both modern interpretations of historical pieces, you have to enjoy the quirks retained from the originals. That said, I really wish Hanhart would do something to take down that milky ring, as it’s not present on the original.
Hey brother, great hearing from you. Well assessed...I didn't know you had the Nivada as well. Need to get my vintage one on wrist for some fun. Cheers, D
Yo D I’m in the UK and I’ve got to have me some of those Haveston straps and the good ones 😀 I have just pulled the trigger on a Speedmaster and those straps would look great on it

If it's out of whack you can probably write to their customer service. If it's anything like the Omega bezel, and it's the insert itself within the bezel proper, and not the bezel as mounted to the watch, then you can pop off the bezel, pop out the insert and re-insert for true alignment. My Omega bezel video details the process. You'll need some tools tho. Best, D ruclips.net/video/UT-vlBJMJys/видео.html
@@HobbyOfHours Thank you. By the way I would probably have given a movement point to Hanhart due to both the antimagnetic properties from the soft iron dial and special steel inside the case, as well as the proprietary antishock system which allows the movement to move slightly in the event of a shock. Personallly I find those features more useful to have than a few extra hours of power reserve. Cheers.

The Hanhart looks amazing on the Nato! Will put a Nato on mine too when i get one. What Springbars did you use? straight or curved and what thickness?

I have the Nivada and idk what I do but the bezel is always out of alignment 😅. I get the reason for design but I would’ve liked a hard bezel action.

Does the Nivada have a ghost date?
Hello, just double checked...no ghost date! Best, D

that Hanhart 417 on a NATO looks superb. And its the winner for me...hard to beat the personal choice of the king of cool Steve McQueen.
