The Tuparro National Park - Rio Tomo in the Llanos Orientales, Colombia, from above with Drone

The Tuparro Park is located in the Llanos Orientales (Eastern Plains), in the Vichada department, in the Region of Orinoquía in Colombia and it has an area of 548.000 hectares. It was declared a National Monument and Biosphere Reserve in 1982. Furthermore, this wonderful Park contains a large green savannah, rivers, golden beaches, forests, and mountains where approximately 320 bird species and a great variety of aquatic species live. It is a unique region of biodiversity in Colombia.
In this marvelous place, you can find Cerro Peinilla and Cerro Thomas where you can have an incredible view over the Park and the landscapes of the region. It is also possible to admire the Río Tomo, a large river that has it's source in the Meta department and crosses a large part of the Vichada department and the Natural National Park of Tuparro.
