It would be cool to see the enemies react to how many of their squad are alive (certain enemies becoming more and more panicked with each comrade lost, etc.)

I love this so much, as a massive AVP fan, Splinter Cell fan, Crysis fanboy--- Having that Predator cloak, Xenomorph vision telling you of AI and their states, alertness levels, dragging bodies-- Just seems like some of the coolest ideas and in a Half-Life setting where we don't get to see stuff like this often. I thought I'd be most excited about Axon Pariah, and I am with more Wilson and Aiden, but now.... uuuuhhh, Wilson & Badcop's got competition
Excellent work. I recognise that those probably are placeholders, but if the voice actor didnt sound like he doesn't want to wake up his mom sleeping in the same room it would really add to the expirience.
It's a little odd that despite being cloaked, the Rebel remarks "Huh?" as you walk in. I still can't believe that instead of simply getting EZ3, we basically got TWO games for its storyline announced: a follow-up to EZ2 and a prequel story that offers a dramatically different and more stealth-focused approach to a Source shooter. Absolute class!
It looks great. Only two things I would change are the weapons that the Conscripts were given since they seem out of place. In Half Life 2, the metropolice weren't trained to use the AR2 because The Combine didn't fully trust them. A better fit would be the AKM because there would probably be a bunch of those in stockpiles. Second would be having the cloak and any other possible abilities to have their own separate energy source away from the AUX Power since it could result in a situation wherein the player couldn't sprint should the cloak run out at an inconvenient time, which I could see as a frustration for those who aren't paying attention to the AUX Power.
@@wodekw6862 This is true, since it's early in development, feedback is much more useful. Which is why I made these points so that if a change was desired by the developers, they could make it sooner rather than later in development.
the conscripts used the osipr in the beta and they serve as a template for the combine here so i assume they should be a step above the metropolice too
@@thanawinsaiwongpanya6947 A fair point, Conscripts seem to be a placeholder in The Combine's eyes. Just a group of soldiers that can maintain order until they get the soldier program online. So, given this information, you'd probably just give them AKM and whatever leftover uniforms were available because of their availability and because you'd know that most of them wouldn't be on board with the whole memory replacement aspect, so having them have to use a weapon that doesn't have a scope would make them easier to take down when replacement day comes around. Conscripts would be the useful innocents of The Combine regime on Earth, to be disregarded and decommissioned when their post-human counterparts were ready to be deployed. It parallels 3650's story (or at least the two versions of him we see in Entropy Zero 2). Useful until they serve their purpose, then they need to either have their memories wiped or be destroyed.
We need to add their reaction to sound, invisibility does not make you silent, at the same time, you could also add their reaction to how the invisible you interacts with the environment, for example moving boxes, forgive me my eng

But I feel like maybe the footstep sounds should be able to be heard by enemies, and also stop entirely when clocked, since it doesn't make much sense for them to be made but somehow not being heard. Also the NPCs don't seem to reacting accordingly at all to an invisible force dragging around one of their squadmates.
holy shit even for just an early demo this is seriously awesome, i can't wait to see how this turns out (p.s. you should probably turn off blood decals for the suppressed pistol bit awkward how they just walk past the blood lol)
Can't wait for the release ! Also, it looks like we're going to fight soldiers with DARPA weapons. If I'm not wrong, the rifle is a XM25 from the OICW program.
Would be cool to have something like Manhunt where the NPCs actively chat when hunting for the players, having dialogue for calm moments and finding bodies and throwing threats and insults towards the player if he's nowhere to be seen. It would also be cool to have an animation for checking their mate's dead body. Alot of potential in this.
So I assume the callsigns of saying "Ordinal to Echo three" means that the HLA combine aren't present but the callsign nicknames for them are, would like to see the HLA combine make there way in somehow, given they are mostly quarantine zone based
