2:31 I am Korean and use a translator. There is a possibility that the sentence may be strange. The episode title appears, and is pronounced and read as "babo" in Korean. You should know one thing. Although the meaning is similar to "Idiot" in the subtitle translation, I know that the feeling you get when you see the word is different from in Korea. In Korea, this word is not a word with strong feelings. It is a word that can cause discomfort depending on the situation, but is also used as a positive metaphor. So “babo” is a word that gives various images depending on the context. Forrest Gump and the man in the red t-shirt are similar characters. In Korea, the word "babo" is used as an idiom for someone who only loves one person. For example, in Korean, we use the expression “babo” who only thinks about his son. I wrote this because I felt there were limitations in translating the episode. I wonder if the translator will be able to interpret it.
If you were wondering where this falls in the timeline…these events happen before the capture of Kim Doosik. There was a scene in episode 12 when Raehyuk finds Bongseok’s family that Mihyun is packing boxes of apples with a newspaper that talks about the demolition of the overpass featured in this episode. Juwon and his daughter were already on the run way before Mihyun and her son.
@@tey5471 This episode takes place while Doosik and Mihyun are living the apple farmers' life but before Doosik's capture. When Doosik is captured, the black team consists of all the known supers except Juwon (their captain). That's because Juwon was already on the run with Huisoo and obviously unavailable to join the three other supers.
@@atkim122yup and it's also explains the ice bridge scene in ep 2, when mihyun is walking with bongseok on her back and juwon huisoo are in the van beside them probably leaving for place after place
The background of this incident is related to the Cheonggyecheon Restoration Project. The Cheonggyecheon Restoration Project was an undertaking in which, under the leadership of the then-president, the land covering an underground stream was excavated to reveal the stream. As a result, merchants conducting business on that land had no choice but to relocate elsewhere. However, proper compensation for their losses was not provided, leading them to vehemently resist. During the process of excavating the land and restoring the stream, there were quite a few historical artifacts in the area. However, due to the excessively rapid pace of the project, many of these artifacts were significantly damaged. This was because it was not possible to simultaneously achieve artifact preservation and rapid stream restoration. The red shirt that Sanghoon's father is wearing is the official shirt of South Korea from the 2002 FIFA World Cup, which was jointly hosted by South Korea and Japan, where South Korea achieved its best-ever World Cup finish, 4th place. It features the phrase "be the Reds," which means "become the Red Devils." Supporters of South Korean football are often referred to as the "Red Devils" to appear intimidating to the opposition.
Ryu Seungryong (Jang Juwon) is a great actor. Hes probably the favourite to win awards this upcoming season. Also yall should watch Reply 1988 next. The actor who plays Ganghoons dad is in it
Jang Juwon has been stabbed hundreds of times, shot, drowned, and he is still "cursed" can recover from any wound, but he cannot heal his own emotional wounds over the loss of his wife.😢
I'm a dude and I can laugh naturally on cue like truly laugh my ass off, even impressed everyone in acting class (everybody laughs when I do it since it's contagious) but unfortunately I can never cry on cue. Can't even get my eyes watery. Don't get me wrong, I cry and shed tears watching emotional scenes in movies etc, I just can't do it on cue no matter how hard I try....
According to the class I took, there’s a breathing technique you can do which is closely related to laughing that can get your body in the right state to cry. Cue that with sad thoughts and boom. Tears. It’s hacking your physiology to help you with your craft. But it’s hard to explain over text. Much easier to show and experience. But so great that you can do a genuine laugh. That’s a great skill to have!
im not sure if you watched the Glory or plan to, but i believe the actor who plays the police officer in this episode (the one who tells Juwon to be careful and who ultimately orders his men to search for the kid) plays a police inspector (I think?) in the Glory. Its been a while since i watched that drama so i forgot which law enforcement position he's in for that drama
You should watch the movie ‘miracle in cell no 7’ One of Juwon - Ryu Seungryong’s best filmographies. You wouldn’t stop laughing and crying at the same time.
I love your reaction because you know well about emotions, acting, storyline, and you explained it and appreciated it so much, not only just reacted it
There's actually an easy trick all actors use to cry on command: just stare a long time into a bright light. Your eyes will naturally start to water and tear up. It's honestly quite easy to achieve. Whoever that acting coach was telling men that they would get consistent work for such a simple acting trick...well, let's just say it probably wasn't the best career advice for them, unfortunately. Also, regarding the idea that men crying has a stronger effect on people's sympathy. I can't say if that's true or not in the realm of entertainment, but in the real world if a woman is seen crying in public she will get a lot of people offering help, but if a man is seen crying in public he has the police or security called on him. That's just the reality of the world. There are several videos you can find on RUclips showing real world situations in shopping malls, in public parks, etc, where this kind of test is done, and the result is always the same. The men are not given help; they are feared. Even young male kids balling their eyes out, and asking for help in these kinds of test situations are completely ignored by passers by. I don't think women understand the awful way the world views you if you're a man who is not in control of himself. A strange man who is crying is not treated with sympathy by anyone, and he is most likely to end up behind bars, purportedly for "his own safety", but in reality it's just to make the society around him _feel_ safe.
Another awesome episode and finally showcasing Gang Hoon’s family dynamics and powers. Not sure if it’s intentional or if there’s some hidden connection though, but the orange fish that ended up in the sewer is the same type as the orange fishes in the school principal’s office aquarium in episode 1. Or that could just be an “orange herring”… LOL
You guys have to check out the movie "Miracle in Cell number 7". It stars the actor that plays Juwoon and it's the first movie/show of his that I saw and he's just amazing. Such a great actor.

Another thing I love about this series is that they have such strong mommy figures.
The parents on this show is the healing I needed after watching too many toxic parents in other Netflix kdramas (The Glory; Mask Girl).

That also explains why Kim doosik didn’t meet juwon again but met the other new members!
Im confused a little , so between when Kim Doosik left and before his recapture?

It just a proof that Ryu Seung Ryong is definitely veteran actor with top notch acting ofc! That's why he just got an award for this role 🎉

Ryou seung yong (Juwon) acted as a villian (queen's dad) in Kingdom(Netflix zombie drama)
true, the writing in this show is really good indeed
I am loving your quick reactions to the drama. Thank you💜💜
The title should have been "The fool(for their children)"
In Korean, pabo means idiot is not that strong word. They used it often
