I like Yu Fei's hair ornaments here. It goes with how her character developed. From simple, understated, delicate when she was younger, to colorful and vibrant yet still delicate when she gained more of the emperor's favor to dark, steely and strong when she learned how to fight back.
Keliyete Hailan as a character has such an impressive development! From being young and bullied Hailan to understatedly revered consort...as you described it, her attire and demeanor show her growth.
Yanxi Palace is my favorite drama but this started it all. The costumes, the music, the actresses, the dumb emperor, it’s just so perfect! This ending especially! ❤
She became too cocky. She murdered so many innocent people and children. She sent word to Ruyi's mom of the scroll being taken away causing her to have an heart attack and die. She trying to kill the 12 the prince and having her son replace the emperor. The memorials truly showed him and his mom what evil looks like.
The emperor is the worst kind of coward! He was OK with her doing the wrong doing as long as it benefited him. The minute that she did it to benefit her than she broke the Imperial code😒😒..... He didn't deserve Ruyi. Now he looks like a fool because he was always comparing Ruyi to Ling
This actress is so good. But actually like legit all the actress in this drama is world class level. Superb acting as compared to yanxi palace. I like yanxi as well but to me it’s more light hearted in that drama this is more authentic like how I would think real consorts would act in bygone days
True, I like how in yanxi palace the main character is bold and witty and takes matters into her own hands, but it's almost kinda weird how an uneducated maid could do all of that

The novel follows the history, ruyi's already dead when all of ling's scheme revealed by hailan. The emperor has no chance to apologize to ruyi. I like both the novel and this series ending. Both have their own charm and satisfied me

Unfortunately, back then, any evidence anyone had to go on was the word of others. If a person got enough people to back up their claims--be they actually true, or flimsy lies--everyone would assume it's true. But I definitely agree with you, that Emperor didn't deserve someone like Ruyi, if this were modern times I have no doubts Ruyi would've walked out on his ass.
Impossible since Wei yinglou is noble concubine ling. Yanxi palace is more close of reality since Wei Ying Lou, noble consort ling, take the lead of the harem after ruyi death. And the real love of qinglong was empress xunxang.
@@joban3950 he nvr loved Fuca or Xiaoxian. The 2 dramas are so confusing - here Ula Nara is good, the other Wei Yingluo is good but at the same time calculating, so maybe that's the similarity
i feel sad for Ula Nara, Wei Yingluo, Fuca, the other concubines, victims of a heartless Emperor. he took so long to tie his now white hair to Ula Nara's. infatuation and sex really blinded him... :(

We should not hate those character in the story for its just merely half of the real story in history.. The only most important in this movie is the lesson that we can get from it

@alexander cruz oxacopa Si sabes inglés podes buscar "Empresses in the Palace" es la precuela de Ruyi. En esa novela te muestran el recorrido de Zhen Hua por el harén hasta llegar a Empreatriz. Por si no acabas de reconocer quién es Zhen Hua, es la emperatriz viuda de esta novela. Madre de Qianlong y suegra de Ruyi. Pd: ahora que me acuerdo, también podrás ver la batalla que hay entre Zhen Hua y la emperatriz Nara (la tía de Ruyi).
He still kind of went easy on her after he didn't even kill her off way but she suffered but her son never stopped loving him but his mother cuz he was that kind of son he was wrestling because if you noticed she killed everybody else off but she wasn't going to let nobody touch her son and get in the end when she died he made the son took the emperor's place and made his mother empress ain't that f***** up I mean hate that
This guy has little wisdom...he makes decisions with his body and is always having death and chaos around him that he can't see unless someone lays it out for him. He is just an ego. Geez.
The dumbest thing is that he knows what goes in his harem. He knows his concubines are constantly scheming against each other or trying to gain his favor but he still didn’t believe that his one true love since day 1 is framed. He knows Ruyi has pure heart and not the type of women who’ll be like one of these scheming snakes yet he still forced her to be humiliated, abused, have her children killed etc.
This Emperor... You have other kids why do you make this woman's son the next emperor? I know he's good but it's unfair for those deserving as an Emperor that have died in her hands. You should have not made him the next Emperor but Rongji.
It's shown a few times that Yongji won't make a good emperor because he's been scarred by a lot of things that went wrong in his childhood, and Ruyi's only dying wish is for Yongji to never be forced to do anything he doesn't want to do. Apart from Yongji, the only other princes that hadn't died or been disowned/disgraced by their mothers were Princes 15 and 17, both of whom were Consort Ling's sons. He didn't have much of a choice there. Good thing he kills Consort Ling as soon as he decides he needs to make Prince 15 crown prince so she doesn't become a blemish on his reputation

What I only like in this series is, Ruyi cut her hair, she left by dying, and her brave and loyal 2nd made.

He may as well have killed all those children himself by letting his concubines turn the palace upside down to gain power and wealth from him I prefer Ruyi to Yanxi since it has a lot more depth to its writing, but indeed Yanxi is a LOT less frustrating to watch and the Yanxi Emperor is at least a halfway decent person, whereas Ruyi's Emperor always does too little way too late
Historically after ulanara death the emperor treated yongji badly he died before the emperor and the emperor didn't give a title after death the next emperor gave him life can be really unfair sometimes

Why does it seem like eunuch Wang Qin didn't get punished? He at least killed somebody for Ling and now left for another boat quickly. Like, he sided with the almost killed maid of Ling so easy and became one of those who served Ling the poison and the antidote.
The maid in him was to serve her for the rest of her life he didn't want he wasn't killing her he made her he would bring her in and out of death until he decided to kill her all the way which that's when they gave her the last poison and then when she died I don't know what happened to them too
I hated this Emperor. he didnt deserve a woman as kind, and as beautiful as Ruyi, she was the definition of a Queen, and she loved him unreservedly until she could love him no more. His behaviour was dispicable and he may aswell of killed the 15 innocent victims himself because he allowed the Harem to become chaotic and knew im sure alot of what was going on, he was lustful and dirty and a disgrace.
A splendid historical l story...involves true love,family,deciet,enviie,hate, birth_ happiness,death sadness.. pain in a mothers heart..lose in a father heart....at the end..one might question....what is power without the love of a treasured ones?
Because it didn't start to click until after Ling Yunche Was killed by Hailan and he told her everything before he died. Plus the fact that she tried to kill Chuchan who was loyal to her throughout everything, once she did that Chuchan confessed everything that Ling had did.

Seharus nya kaisar bisa lbh jeli melihat kejadian2 antar para selir itu, knp dia cuma percaya omongan orang2 penjilat , tentu saja selir membela diri, para pembantu dan kasim membela majikan nya....bukan nya main tendang main pukul thd orang yg didakwa dg bukti2 palsu ( laporan orang yg niat tdk baik) , ....harusnya kenal karakter selir yg baik , dibanding dg selir yg jahat. Its not the matter of waiting to say anything. But that Ling consort was good at scheming and using people and framing others. She lied her way thru and it was a matter of not finding the evidence to implicate her. Before this clip (spoiler) the emperor caught her redhanded trying to put her own son as the crown prince by forging a decree from the emperor.
She had to have all the evidence and make sure that the evidence will stick because he wouldn't have believed her he wouldn't believe nobody if they told her that this woman was killing his children he wouldn't have believed it because he was sleeping with this woman come on now use your head think about it but she was dying and she made sure because most of the women helped her get all that evidence she wasn't by herself for getting all the evidence on this woman and then it all came to her head what you doing the doctor come to the light
No she get that title posthumously by her son yongyan when he was emperor and after Qianlong’s death. She was given the title: imperial noble consort Lingyi
I am still intrigued of her character here as in the Yanxi Palace, she is a good concubine, but here she is a murderer. But reading the history she is not a murderer, so Yanxi is more accurate, i think.
I hate this series as much I love it , so interesting and captivating but I feel most sorry for ruyi and the innocent that were schemed by the evil like consort shu 😢 . Only wish ruyi would have lived longer
it's impossible that she did all those plots resulting to killings. with all those schemings and tricks around with all these women, surely all of them contribute to all or at least one of the deaths
In the series, no one help her. She made all things like seducing and sweet words.. So tricky to do all those things. Maybe in the harem, there is a. Lot of vipers. But her? She's more than that. Her way of controlling is kinda not like others who hires.. She use her own body and herself to do those bad things. She did all those thing for herself. In the Harem, she's the snake with a horn.

I hated this Emperor. he didnt deserve a woman as kind, and as beautiful as Ruyi, she was the definition of a Queen, and she loved him unreservedly until she could love him no more. His behaviour was dispicable and he may aswell of killed the 15 innocent victims himself because he allowed the Harem to become chaotic and knew im sure alot of what was going on, he was lustful and dirty and a disgrace.
A splendid historical l story...involves true love,family,deciet,enviie,hate, birth_ happiness,death sadness.. pain in a mothers heart..lose in a father heart....at the end..one might question....what is power without the love of a treasured ones?
At the end emperor has many regets but it's too late for him.. No more ruyi around.

Because it didn't start to click until after Ling Yunche Was killed by Hailan and he told her everything before he died. Plus the fact that she tried to kill Chuchan who was loyal to her throughout everything, once she did that Chuchan confessed everything that Ling had did.
They needed absolute hard evidence because the Emperor is a delusional moron otherwise.

I hate this series as much I love it , so interesting and captivating but I feel most sorry for ruyi and the innocent that were schemed by the evil like consort shu 😢 .

it's impossible that she did all those plots resulting to killings. with all those schemings and tricks around with all these women, surely all of them contribute to all or at least one of the deaths
In the series, no one help her. She made all things like seducing and sweet words.. So tricky to do all those things. Maybe in the harem, there is a. Lot of vipers. But her? She's more than that. Her way of controlling is kinda not like others who hires.. She use her own body and herself to do those bad things. She did all those thing for herself.
