Everything looks fabulous! I've added those alliums to my shopping list. 😄
Is that all or is it a bug shopping list? 😁
@@eliandkate It is a big bug shopping list. I want everything you showed.
Hi Eli & Kate, lovely photo shoots, love the phone gadget too. Thanks for sharing and take care 😊
I’m over the water in Fife and don’t feel like 2024 has really kicked off yet. It’s been a strange year. Your flowers are stunning. I’d love to create nice borders and beds. ❤
I totally agree! I'm not sure I'll actually get a tomato this year, where as last year I had baskets worth by now :(
I love your pictures of the dahlia near the greenhouse, they look like flames! 🔥🔥🔥
Oh I never thought of it like that!!!!
Love all the gorgeous "eye candy" in your garden! Thx for sharing. And thx for sharing the Macro Lens kit info. I love taking close-up pix of flowers too. That lens is so appealing for a very amateur photographer like me. Don't macro pix of flowers make you appreciate them and marvel at their beauty even more?!
It absolutely does. I love seeing all the textures
❤Thank you! Finally a present for my daughter that she might love! 😊
Awwwwwww that’s fab
Your gardens are so beautiful!
Awwwwww thank you.
Everything is so pretty; I love this time of year.
Your flower bed is stunning this year! That red is so vivid and those big flower clouds are so cool.
In typical fashion, days after we filmed, the rest have opened 😂😂😂
Looks fab flowers 🌺 ladies
It’s the thing that’s keeping me happy in this horrible season
I love it that you have a "fruit fence" when others have a "forest"! LOL Thanks for the tip about the mobile phone camera as I have been looking for one that has adjustable lens placement. I am hoping shipping to NA isn't prohibitively expensive.
Ha ha ha it feels a bit silly calling something a forest when it’s just a few plants
The company I got it from are international so hopefully shipping is ok
Lovely garden tour I really luv the cupcake cosmos that's on the list for next year ❤🎉
It’s gorgeous 😁😁😁😁😁
I love the macro phone lenses and it makes a great gift young and old alike
A good bit of fun 😁
I love using a macro lens for my flowers.
It just gives you something really interesting 😁😁
I have the Olympus E-M1 mark111 with a 60mm macro lens, its a great set up and I'm still learning but like you say its expensive to set up. that lens looks great to take out in the field with you.
That’s what Kate is thinking. It can be thrown in your rucksack for when you are out and about without the weight of another proper lens… means it’s always there for when you find that interesting little something
Absolutely beautiful ....the colour & planning thats gone into your Garden is amazing ...fabulous 😍😍🌻🌻🐝🐝🌷
Hope you’re out capturing yours now
@@eliandkate I'm very interested in the attachment for your phone .... that looks brilliant 😍😍
@carolinebown8686 they do all sorts of lens attachments. I’ve not had a chance to explore the rest yet but I think they e got a dedicated fan in kate 😂😂😂
Oh I love the phone macro lens. I have a Canon full frame DSLR and a series of hefty L lenses but they just sit in the bag as I’m too lazy to get them out, so this would be a fab little addition for convenience.
Great photos and you have some beautiful flowers in bloom around the garden. Glad you like the cupcake cosmos. I was so sure you’d have already grown it.
Lovely update. ❤️❤️❤️
Nope! You introduced us to a new pretty thing 😍😍😍😍😍
@@eliandkate you paid that right back with the Bidens ❤️
@TheFarmyardGarden 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Here in Helensburgh its been crap. My dahlias have been pathetic. Not a sign of any buds or anything. I know its still early but not holding out much hope. Yesterday was lovely but today we are back to the dark low oppressive cloud and its cold. Looking at digging in new beds for next year to allow for more flowers. Still researching and working out what to plant
we're the same, glorious sun yesterday and back to grey and wet today :(
Im sure i remember that you could use the magnifier rings and std lenses to make macro lens. Alot cheaper than dedicated lenses
Your garden is so nice and organised❤
Absolutely gorgeous :)
Your garden looks fab and that macro lens is genius 👏 Could I please ask where you got your silver twirly sticks? Thanks
@@lookinglikingloving oh the twirly sticks are a few years old now… a random Amazon purchase when looking for tomato supports
Your Lucifer's look so good. Mine are a tad smaller than yours. I love them. I think there is a yellow colored one, too. I am dying to plant some alliums.
Yeah we have the shorter orange ones too… they usually flower later
Some things doing good here but getting ready to do a reset the beginning of August zucchini.cucumbers and lettuce. Thinking of putting in garlic this fall for next year, first time trying it.
I adore macros, but since age-related longsightedness hit hard, I pretty much can't rely any more on getting it sharp. I've always needed stabilisation, don't have steady hands!
That’s me…. Kate can shoot handheld… I need a tripod.
By the way my flower bed is doing really well in comparison to.
Hi both. Having trouble with my dwarf French beans. They are about 6” tall and starting to flower. Any ideas?
It could just be the cold Brenda, French beans aren’t a big fan of the colder weather and this year has sucked for us weather wise.
Mine have gone really leggy but only just started producing beans, they are about three weeks behind normal.
Just keep giving them love and hope that the weather eventually gives us a bit of warmth
Can you tell me about the blinds in your green house pluasw❤
They are the blinds that the greenhouse company make for their greenhouses.
You can find out more from their website

What about September time for flowers x
You might have to elaborate Gemma
@@eliandkate what type of flowers seeds are best now to plant ive been watching your videos and I'm learning so much x
@@gemmaangelbarker6313 ahhh
Sorry Gemma I don’t do those videos.
Head over to @Niallgardens he does lots of that type of thing 😁
Can you help me ,my Lillie's have all flowered and now dying off except my Stargazer lily which has large buds which have never opened yet .☹️
Thanks for new learning ladies 🤗 found the macro setting on my phone camera 😊 now I know what it is 😂 I'm away ooot Tae the garden to play.... 📸🤳😁 Say cheese 😁
😂😂😂😂
Oh I’m sorry Lorna
We don’t grow Lillie’s, Kate is allergic
Because you have so much moisture, are you bothered by earwigs on/in your plants.
@@violaqueen2234 we do get a lot of earwigs in the garden and pill bugs (we call them slaters)
Knee pads Kate?
There’s always knee pads, even when you can’t see them
Not far into the video ,and Iv ordered crocosmia …and some alliums and a camera thing …your a bad influence eli !!
Ha ha ha oh no….. you don’t get to blame me for your shopping habits Barbara 😂😂😂😂
@@eliandkate ..I have to blame someone ..it’s not MY fault !!…ha …love love love your channel ..x
@barbaraguzmics8293 😂😂😂😂
