Baylor A Cappella Choir Tour 2011 - FBC Tulsa - March 6, 2011 Hard Times - arr. Craig Hella Johnson - Lauren Shively, soloist Dr. Alan Raines, Conductor
im living in Knox TN. i came here for grad school but I got my bachelors at texas state. I sing with conspirare and sitting here preparing a lesson plan and listening to some different choirs sing this song and a few others that I have performed with conspirare...and this is really good. Made me pick my head up and watch. And watch the director too. Great job!
The choir is unbalanced the soprano are over shadowing the rest of the group the alto have some key notes along with the tenor and they are being overwhelmed. Also the main song message belongs to a soloist not the entire choir. However without this tidbit no one would be the wiser which is impressive for most choirs.

Amazing. I've heard other accompanied versions of this song by various artists, but this one had me weeping from the beauty of it.
my utmost favorite song that entire year!!
This is by Stephen Foster.
